* LongLived: ''Shadows of Starlight'' reveals that he is still alive during the Nihil crisis, making him at least 170 years old, which is abnormally long for humans in the ''Star Wars'' franchise. ''The Eye of Darkness'' confirms that he learned to artificially extend his life while studying the Nameless, but was [[ImmortalityImmorality consumed by the Dark Side as a result]].

* SanitySlippage: While he survives the Battle of Dalna, he's come out the most scarred of the Jedi who survived being around the Nameless. Even when he's no longer around the Nameless and being hospitalized in an asylum for Force users, he's still experiencing nightmarish hallucinations. Some time after, he disappeared to parts unknown before being rediscovered over 150 years later by Yoda. In that time he's been gone, he's succumbed to the Dark Side in his attempts to study the Nameless.

* KilledMidSentence: [[spoiler:He is attacked by one of the Nameless while issuing orders during the Battle of Dalna. His last words over the comms were asking those who are listening to tell Enya something, but the link is cut before he can say what he wished her to know.]]

* TakenForGranite: [[spoiler:One of several Jedi slain by the Nameless during the Battle of Dalna, being turned to ashen stone by it feeding off the Force within him.]]

* CallForward: The Barash Vow was named after her. [[spoiler:This vow came as a result of her temporarily withdrawing from Jedi activity due to inadvertently exacerbating the conflict on Gansevor as a result of not heeding the Force's warnings and falling for lies between both sides of the war.]]

* HorribleJudgeOfCharacter: As she tries to diplomatically resolve the conflict on Gansevor, she tries to help out both sides, [[spoiler:not realizing that both gave their fair share of lies and relying only on her personal experience over the Force's warnings. This is what leads her to withdrawing from Jedi activity and starting what later became known as the Barash Vow.]]

* TakenForGranite: [[spoiler:After being captured by the Herald and Yana Ro, the former decides to test the Great Leveler on her, reducing her to a terrified husk.]]

* HeroicBSOD: [[spoiler:She experiences a breakdown in the Force when she gets too close to the [[BrownNoteBeing Great Leveler]], which the Path of the Open Hand unleashed into Jedha City to cause chaos. She manages to get out of it (and avoid becoming another one of the [[HeroKiller Leveler's]] meals) with P3-7A's intervention, but is left incredibly shaken.]]

* LuckilyMyShieldWillProtectMe: She prefers to break out her shield before drawing her lightsaber, believing that a Jedi's duty is to protect first and fight second. This shield also happens to be a cultural artifact the Jedi, with Silandra having inherited it from her master after passing trials. [[spoiler:After Rooper passes her trials, Silandra passes the shield over to her.]]

* PassingTheTorch: [[spoiler:Subverted in that she doesn't necessarily stop being a Jedi. After Rooper passes her final trial, Silandra passes the shield of the Jedi over to her, with the expectation that Rooper will eventually do the same with her Padawan.]]

* TheMentor: Until the mission to Gloam, he was Maliq's master. [[spoiler:After Master Sula Badani sacrifices herself to distract the Nameless inside the ''Bonecrusher'', Rok takes up her Padawan Coron Solstus as his new apprentice.]]

* TheMentor: [[spoiler:Takes over as Enya's new master following Char-Ryl-Roy's death during the Night of Sorrow.]]
* NiceJobBreakingItHero: Following the Night of Sorrow, he recommends to Yoda that they [[spoiler:classify the records relating to the Jedi who were assaulted by the mysterious creatures the Path of the Open Hand had, as both were worried what might happen if word got out about creatures that could drain the Force from individuals and for which the Jedi had no answer to fighting]]. Unfortunately, while Creighton says he intends to continue investigating and discover the truth, it seems nothing came of that as when Marchion Ro unleashes the Nameless again 150 years later, the Jedi are caught completely off-guard and Yoda disappeared on his own mission, meaning he could not explain what was happening to the rest of the Order.

* BigGuyFatalitySyndrome: [[spoiler:While he and Gella are investigating Dalna, he is poisoned by Binnot and dies an agonizing death, becoming the first Jedi casualty in ''Cataclysm''.]]

* AnArmAndALeg: [[spoiler:While entranced by the Nameless, her left arm gets calcified before crumbling to dust. Pako's HeroicSacrifice is what keeps this encounter from being fatal.]]

* MentorOccupationalHazard: [[spoiler:She gets turned to dust by one of the Nameless during the Battle of Dalna. While Arkoff doesn't sense her becoming one with the Force, the fact that he found her lightsaber distanced from her was his sign that she was no longer around (as she told him losing a lightsaber means a Jedi is dead).]]

* SuspiciouslySimilarSubstitute: She is an elderly, female human Jedi Master with a Wookiee Padawan [[spoiler:who gets killed by a Nameless]]. One would get the impression she's an earlier generation version of Nib Assek.

* AntiMentor: His traditional and stuffy Jedi style clashes with Sav's more independent, reckless, and improvisational nature. Kaktorf views her as impatient and sloppy, while she finds him rigid and restricting, unable to recognize that some of her successes aren't actually violating the spirit of the Jedi code. [[spoiler:He realizes they are not a good pairing and he is the wrong teacher for her, handing his duties off to Tera Sinube who Kaktorf hopes will be a better fit.]]

* VitriolicBestBuds: Despite becoming close allies through their hardships on Jedha, he and Tey continue to throw verbal jabs at each other.

* CainAndAbel: [[spoiler:Her sister is Elecia Zeveron, the Path of the Open Hand's Mother. After the Jedi Seeker chose Oliviah over Elecia to train, Elecia sought her out with apparent intent to kill her, before climbing up the ranks of the Path and taking their hatred of Force users to radical extremes.]]

* InTheBack: [[spoiler:The Herald takes her lightsaber and stabs her through the back with it, critically wounding Oliviah and requiring Vildar and Tey to place her in a healing trance to recover.]]

* LockedOutOfTheLoop: She is confused as to why Master Leebon dragged her to the statue of the Last Guardian when a riot was engulfing the city, and grows even more confused and suspicious when she insists they stay even after the statue is destroyed. [[spoiler:Leebon was hiding the existence of secret Jedi vault beneath the statue containing numerous relics.]]

* MindOverMatter: She's exhibited great telekinetic abilities through the Force since she was a child. [[spoiler:Unfortunately, this personally earned her the ire of her sister Elecia -- who was only skilled at [[CharmPerson influencing minds]] -- when Oliviah was picked for Jedi training over her. That would eventually lead to Elecia worming her way into the Path of the Open Hand's leadership and leading the cult in a crusade against the Order.]]

* FireForgedFriends: With Axel Greylark, with their mission to protect the heirs and investigation into the events on Eiram and E'ronoh breaking down their mistrust of each other. [[spoiler:Gella is devastated upon learning he was in league with the assassins and helping cause the chaos.]]

* KilledOffscreen: [[spoiler:She dies from injuries she had received from the Path of the Open Hand's members during the Battle of Dalna, with her death being confirmed to Creighton while in recovery.]]

* TheApprentice: She is Leebon's Padawan, although their partnership seems rather hands-off given how busy Leebon is with her duties on the Convocation. [[spoiler:Vildar takes over as her Master following Leebon's death during the Battle of Jedha]].

* BreakTheCutie: The normally chipper Padawan goes through the wringer in ''Path of Vengeance''. [[spoiler:On top of already coming to terms with [[MentorOccupationalHazard Leebon's death]], she watches a number of Jedi die horrifically on Dalna in the same way while being {{Mind Rape}}d by the Nameless.]]

* TheApprentice: She is Char-Ryl-Roy's Padawan, which is considered an honor since typically Jedi Council members are too busy to take apprentices. [[spoiler:After his death on Dalna, Enya's training continues under his friend Creighton Sun]].

* ImDyingPleaseTakeMyMacGuffin: As he's slowly calcifying in Marda's arms, he tries to tell her that not only is the Mother a manipulative fraud like Yana told her, but she is in possession of a living weapon capable of draining the living Force from others. Unfortunately, he isn't able to tell her the last part, and after further manipulation on the Mother's part, she only gets the impression that it was the Jedi's teachings that resulted in his death.

The Padawan of Jedi Master Zallah Macri. When the cult known as the Path of the Open Hand steals a Force artifact called the Rod of Seasons from Hynestia Prime, he and Zallah trace the cult to the planet Dalna.

* StarCrossedLovers: He and Marda Ro develop strong feelings for each other despite their faiths putting them at odds with each other. It unfortunately ends in tragedy, as Kevmo is killed by the newborn Great Leveler.

* RubberForeheadAlien: She is a Soikan, with her pointed ears and lilac skin tone being the only things separating her from looking human.
* TheStoic: Unlike Kevmo, who tends to wear his heart on his sleeve, Zallah is very emotionally reserved. That is until she experiences terror in the last moments of her life due to Nameless-induced Force hallucinations.

* StudentMasterTeam: Although they are sometimes separated, like when Silandra went to Jedha for her pilgrimage, Rooper typically works alongside her master on missions. ''Missing Pieces'' establishes that even after Rooper becomes a Jedi Knight they continue to go on missions together.

* NoGoodDeedGoesUnpunished: He helps save numerous members of the Path from a flood that threatens their compound, and is repaid by those who he saved or whose family and friendshe rescued standing by and watching both Kevmo and his master suffer horrific deaths at the hands of the Leveler.

* CruelAndUnusualDeath: Unlike his master, who was calcified relatively quickly, his petrification is much slower and he's slowly loosing his connection to the Force. And he's barely conscious enough to relay his horrific discovery to Marda, and has trouble relaying all of it due to his [[AndIMustScream speech being impaired]].
