* YankTheDogsChain: [[spoiler:Revya saves Agrippa in the Demon Path, in a seeming PetTheDog moment... only to later coldly murder him, having saved them purely because it would hurt them more to betray them after gaining their trust.]]

* TheGrimReaper: Gig is a 'master of death', a being who should ''technically'' do the standard duties of the grim reaper.

* IHatePastMe: When he starts seeing memories of his past [[spoiler:As Vigilance,]] he immediately decides his old self makes him sick.

* JerkassHasAPoint: He's not '''wrong''' when he calls Danette stupid. After he introduced himself in the hammiest way possible, she managed to forget his name.

* JerkWithAHeartOfGold: He spends much of the game taunting and rudely dismissing everyone around him (especially Danette and Levin), and heavily vocalizes his intent to wipe out the world once he gets control of Revya's body. However, while still quite rude, he mellows over time, becoming especially caring towards Revya.
* TheLancer: Personality-wise, at least. Gig is verbose where Revya is mostly silent, sadistic and selfish where Revya is kind and selfless, cynical and sarcastic where Revya is naive and honest, and very fond of playing shoulder devil to his heroic 'soulmate'.
* LaughablyEvil: Gig is so over the top in being vile, arrogant and abrasive that it loops back around to being hilarious.

* MyGodWhatHaveIDone: During [[spoiler:the Good Ending of the Demon Path, Gig snaps back to his senses as Vigilance and despairs over the crimes he committed as Gig, vowing to set things right and atone.]]
** HoistByHisOwnPetard: [[spoiler:In the other ending, Gig quite abruptly regrets giving Revya so much power when Revya uses it all to ''devour him.'']]

* OmnicidalManiac: As he often says, he wants to destroy everything, except hotpods.

* ReverseMole: Has been working with Virtuous for the past two hundred years infiltrating Drazil's world. The player finds this out quickly after she joins.

* LaughingMad: In the Normal Path. So much that it ''even'' rivals the SelfDemonstrating/TheJoker's and actually frightens Gig. Story-wise, it's averted in the Demon Route. In fact, it's the trademark of every member of his cult.

** BlatantLies: It's always obvious when he's lying or hiding something.

* IntelligableUnintelligable: In Disgaea 3. Revya has no dialogue, but somehow Gig can understand her.

* EvilAllAlong: One interpretation of Revya in the Demon Path as Gig feigns any responsibility of having caused Revya's sudden turn.

* BiTheWay: Her ending varies very little depending on gender. If male, she says the protagonist will have to learn how to take care of babies with the implication that she'll be having them. If female, she's less nervous there, but with either gender the last thirty seconds or so end with her blushing and stuttering awkwardly because she drew the protagonist in their underwear in a letter to Euphoria, hinting that she never calls them by their name because it would be embarrassing.

* ChildhoodFriendRomance: Hinted at in her ending. [[BiTheWay Regardless of gender.]]

* EvilIsHammy: [[spoiler: Vigilance was pretty restrained, but Gig is the single hammiest character in the game.]]

* IdiotBall: In the Normal Path he frequently tries to convinces Revya to give him control and just as many times says he'll destroy the world if he gets control, so not surprisingly Revya always refuses.

* LargeHam: Especially in the English version.

* EvilIsDumb: He tries to come off as a powerful sorcerer to rob people but his constant bumbling makes him very ineffectual. [[spoiler:When he sides with the heroes, however, he becomes more competent, especially in the Demon Path.]]

* RedemptionPromotion: Goes from IneffectualSympatheticVillain to one of your main characters, though is still a ButtMonkey.

* HerHeartWillGoOn: Admits that she was in love with someone in the Demon Path(Normal Path hinted that her lover was one of the kings of Raide). It's implied that she wishes to see him.
* MsFanservice: Alexemia is practically naked, for Haephnes sake! She's only wearing a crown and a freakin' seashell bra.

* EvenEvilHasStandards: Despite being the leader of secret organization that specializes in kidnapping and selling children, he is disgusted by Hawthorne's action to his "daughters." [[spoiler: In the Demon Path, he also leaves Revya due to their psychotic nature.]]

* MediumAwareness: She [[BreakingTheFourthWall breaks the fourt wall]] by attemping to steal the main character role.

* {{Flanderization}}: YMMV on this, since she didn't have a lot of screen time in ''VideoGame/GrimGrimoire''.

* EstablishingCharacterMoment: Her cameo in this game established the HostileShowTakeover schtick that would be with her for a very long time. Previous appearances were merely chance encounters by the main characters. It is also the game that established her more haughty English voice that would become a mainstay for nearly any time Creator/WendeeLee provides her voice.
