Raijin is a Mage god that's highly disruptive to the enemy team, and relies on timing his ability usage properly to use them to their full effect. His passive, ''Charged Tempo'', grants a stack for every ability he casts. At five stacks, all of his abilities, including the one he just cast, have their cooldowns reduced by two seconds. Additionally, his basic attacks have a slightly larger width than normal. His first ability, ''Percussive Storm'', has Raijin pound his drums, sending out four peals of thunder that grow in width as they travel, damaging all enemies hit but stopping at the first enemy god hit. His second ability, ''Raiju'', has him mark a target enemy by sending his ally, Raiju, who hides in the enemy's navel. Marked enemies are slowed and revealed to Raijin's team for the duration. The next time Raijin damages the target, Raiju claws his way out of the foe, doubling the slow and dealing damaging them. Raiju also damages and slows up to five nearby enemies as he escapes. His third ability, ''Thunder Crash'', has him send a lightning bolt at a target location from the sky, damaging and mesmerizing enemies. Raijin himself then follows up, leaping into the air and landing where the bolt stuck, damaging for even more. His ultimate ability, ''Taiko Drums'', has him hover above the battlefield, beating his drums to summon massive peals of thunder. Raijin can choose one of three beats for each peal fired: one that deals full damage, one that deals less damage but taunts, and one that deals less damage but fears. Raijin moves 20% slower for the duration, which ends after four peals have been fired or after a period of time.

* CooldownManipulation: Using five of his abilities causes all of the ones on cooldown (including the one which activated the passive) to take 2 seconds off of its cooldown.

* LeftStuckAfterAttack: After he hurls his ''Dark Moon Shuriken'', it stays embedded in an enemy god it hits. Unlike the usual trope however, this is strictly potentially advantageous for him as he just needs to move next to them to pick it up and [[CooldownManipulation take 4 seconds off of the ability's cooldown]].
* SolarAndLunar: The lunar to Amaterasu’s solar. While he is cold, cruel and themed after shadowy ninja arts, she is kind, fair and patterned after the honorable Samurai.

* FanDisservice: Izanami’s beauty and shapely figure combined with her decaying body and unnatural movements is very likely meant it invoke this. Her terrifying [[CreepyDoll Dreadful Doll]] skin takes this UpToEleven.

* SealedEvilInACan: She became this when Izanagi sealed her within Yomi, and then she broke away because of the tension between Gods.

* FarEast: One of the far east Asian pantheons in the game, the other being Chinese.

* DifficultButAwesome: All of Raijin's abilities are skill shots and need to be used in tandem to be used to their fullest, but when used right he can utterly ''devastate'' the opposition. He is also very hard to catch thanks to having a teleport and his ult making him crowd control immune.

* NiceMeanAndInBetween: Between his siblings, Tsukuyomi is definitely the 'Mean', a haughty, cruel and bemeaning God that looks down on those unworthy without any mercy.

* JerkWithAHeartOfGold: Had a HeelRealization after being exiled, then willingly helped to defeat Orochi and sent the blade he got to Amaterasu to atone. Even after everything Susano is still arrogant, but he is also considerably nicer to all.

He used to be a tempestuous jerk, and sometimes it still flared up, but he's been tempered after his redemption quest and generally didn't pick a side during the conflict between his siblings.

* WellDoneSonGuy: Toned down. While he didn't want Izanagi's praises, part of the reason why he slays Orochi is to prove Izanagi wrong about his accusations and show that he's just as 'good' as his siblings, he's not just all about 'making destructions'.
