* PragmaticVillainy: They, like the Dawnguard, give quests to kill vampires. Unlike the Dawnguard, they're not doing it for ideological reasons, but because the other vampires are being sloppy and could get them exposed. That, and they don't want to share their food supply.

The Team Cleanup: removing examples that need more context / don't fit the trope / FMB holdovers

* TheTeam: The main members of the Dawnguard form this dynamic, should you choose to side with them.
** Isran as TheLeader, the guy who reforms the Dawnguard in the first place.
** Gunmar, a former associate of Isran's whose relative friendliness balances out Isran's abrasive personality, serves as TheLancer.
** Sorine, the resident GadgeteerGenius and one of the more CrazyPrepared of the bunch, is the [[TheSmartGuy Smart Girl.]]
** The Dragonborn themselves serves as TheBigGuy; being Skyrim's resident OneManArmy, they do most of the heavy lifting.
** Florentius, the quirky expert on Restoration magic who may or may not be getting valuable information for the group from Arkay, serves as TheFace.
** Serana, after she turns DefectorFromDecadence and joins up, serves as a SixthRanger. She is initially not trusted due to being a vampire, but after she demonstrates her dedication to stopping Harkon, even Isran warms up to her and she stays with the Dawnguard even after the main plot is finished.

I mulled over whether or not Miraak qualifies, and I think he does. The game never once shies away from presenting him as the top dog, story wise compared to every other villain the player faces.

Added DiffLines:

* WorldsStrongestMan: At the height of his power, Miraak was a being of unimaginable strength. In addition to being the first of the Dragonborn and possessing many shouts, he was also a powerful sorcerer and that's one of the primary ways he fights in his final confrontation with the Last Dragonborn. Not many legends mention him, but the ones who do speak of him as more of a mythical powerhouse than a man. In his last stand, he killed a great number of dragons and fought with [[TokenGoodTeammate Vahlok]] in a devastating battle that may or may not have ''created Solstheim''. Even after being [[TrappedInAnotherWorld whisked away to Apocrypha]], he continued to gain knowledge and power through shouts known only to Hermaeus Mora. The possibility of [[TheDreaded Miraak]] returning to Nirn is presented as just as serious and dark a possibility as Alduin devouring it because he's just that strong.
