[[folder: Filia's parents]]
!!Marcus and Amelia Medici
Marcus and Amelia were Filia's parents. Marcus was the son of Lorenzo and Vitale's older brother, but he and his wife disagreed with the Medici Family's criminal activities and cut ties with them. Sadly, an encounter with the Skullgirl still got them killed, albeit indirectly...

!!Tropes associated with Filia's parents
* DeceasedParentsAreTheBest: They are dead in the main game, but It's clear from Filia's Origin in ''Skullgirls Mobile'' that they were loving parents to Filia.
* NotWhatItLooksLike: [[spoiler: Being spared from Marie's wrath (And then trying to skip town) led to Vitale assuming that they had betrayed the Family, leading to their death.]]
* ReasonableAuthorityFigure: When Samson reveals that the dog Filia adopted had a parasite, Marcus takes it in stride, especially since Samson helped fight off the Skullgirl.
* YouWillBeSpared: Marie agrees to not kill them on the condition they leave New Meridian.
* WhiteSheep: They abhorred their gangster family and cut ties with them.

The former sniper of the Black Egrets
who took in the children orphaned by Queen Nancy's rampage, serving was initially supposed to be considered as a surrogate father for Marie and Patricia, but was killed future DLC character. Unfortunately, because her design sprang from a suggestion made by slave-traders working for a fan who proceeded to be less-than-civil about the Medici.situation, she eventually became ExiledFromContinuity.

* BreathWeapon: Higard can fire a beam of blue energy from his mouth.
* GentleGiant: In life he was a towering individual--though small for a Gigan, judging by the colossal skeletons scattered around No-Man's Land. Unlike his often-belligerent brethren, Hilgard was compassionate--abandoning his search for his own son to turn his castle into an orphanage for the youngest victims of Queen Nancy's rampage--and exceedingly patient.
* GhostlyGoals: Killed when slave traders razed his castle, Hilgard's ghost comes to Marie's aid after the Skull Heart is shattered, fighting alongside her a la [[Manga/JoJosBizarreAdventure a Stand]].
* HeroicSacrifice: Hilgard gave his life trying to protect his charges when Medici Mafia-employed slave traders attacked his castle.
* OutlivingOnesOffspring: It's implied his son was killed during Queen Nancy's rampage.
* WhoNeedsTheirWholeBody: When in combat mode as a ghost, Hilgard appears as the upper half of his skeleton.

In the webcomic, Lorenzo is outraged when Marie razes the suburb of Maplecrest in the webcomic, snapping at Vitale that she isn't just killing the Medici Mafia's soldiers but their entire families--though he's upset about the loss of manpower rendering his organization vulnerable rather than the deaths of innocents--and retaliates by ordering the abduction of the River King's daughters.
