It’s never actually stated in the show George quits working for Kruger.

** He applies to [[IncompetenceInc Kruger Industrial Smoothing]] for a cushy job; he gets it, but even he gets sick of the company's incompetence and inability to get any kind of work done and quits.

* ItsAllAboutMe: They all tend to be ''very'' self-centered and disinterested in the feelings of others beyond the bare minimum and even that isn't always guaranteed and is borne more from social expectations than genuine concern. Only Kramer is shown to be capable of empathy on a regular basis and even he is still self-involved and immature, thinking nothing of sponging off of Jerry.

* CreatureOfHabit: He assigns 'roles' to people, including himself, and is irritated when they don't fit into them. In one episode, a car renter's incompetence annoys him more than the actual ''result'' of that incompetence (that he doesn't receive a car). * AcquiredSituationalNarcissism: On the rare occasion things turn out well for him or he gets some boost to his confidence, George can turn into a complete blowhard who is even worse to be around. It gets so bad in "The Beard" when he begins wearing a toupee that she has to physically rip it off his head and throw it out the window.

* TheDeterminator: Despite his staggering laziness most of the time, George can be surprisingly committed when he wants to be, albeit only ever extremely minor things and petty slights to his ego or crimes that only exist in his head. Special mention goes to "The Dealership" when spends the whole episode trying to prove that a mechanic ate the Twix George bought but which got caught in the vending machine and "The Comeback" where he travels all the way to Ohio to get in a comeback at someone who made a joke about him.

* Lethal Klutz: Kramer destroys ''a lot'' of things around him, accidentally or otherwise. Susan Ross got this treatment the worst, as Kramer burned down her father's cabin by carelessly leaving one of his own cigars burning inside.
* Lethally Stupid: Although Kramer does mean well most of the time, he is so hopelessly stupid and clumsy that most of the people he interacts with are lucky to be alive from his crazy antics. The series finale even has him carelessly jumping on a plane trying to get some water out of his ear from swimming earlier, stumbling into the cockpit and causing the plane to make an emergency landing in the town of Latham, where the group witnesses the event that lands them in prison for violating the Good Samaritan law.

* VillainHasAPoint: As he says in his conversation with Kramer, his soup is so good because of how strict he is with everything, including his cooking. Thus he feels he's justified in asking the same discipline out of his customers. He's almost not entirely unreasonable as he does give George a second chance and only really gives Elaine trouble because she openly flaunted his rules and mocked him.

...seems someone completely misread the trope name and what it means. Mr. Vice Guy is about a character who is riddled with an obvious vice—Kramer might actually qualify, given that he's the biggest drinker of the cast, but it's still not a large enough part of his character, episode to episode.

* MrViceGuy: He's not an UnsympatheticComedyProtagonist like the rest of the main cast, as he's more likely than the rest to show genuine kindness and benevolent or selfless motives for his actions.

* TheCynic: George views the world and the people in it with great suspicion and doesn't put a lot of emphasis on the good things in life. This even extends to his love life; even though he says he would very much like a girlfriend (and especially the sex that comes with it), he doesn't have very positive views of romantic relationships ([[HollywoodDateless interestingly, he's had a very high number of dates in the show's run]]). In a couple of instances, he even says that things that other people would consider to be good, such as birthdays and weekend trips, are "[[ToiletSeatDivorce relationship killers]]."

Does Not Like Shoes has been renamed and redefined to focus on characters that explicitly or implicitly state a preference for going barefoot. Removing misuse

* DoesNotLikeShoes: Inverted. He ''refuses'' to take off his shoes no matter what. Apparently it's because he's embarrassed by his "foot odour problem".

* StatusQuoIsGod: Seems to have this as a superpower, causing Kramer to call him "Even Steven". Everything tends to even out for him and leave him no better or worse than when he started. To test this, Elaine takes 20 bucks from him and tosses it out the window, and sure enough when Jerry puts on his jacket to leave he puts his hand in the pocket and finds 20 bucks. This also explains how he's dated so many women. Whenever he has a break-up he'll always find a new woman very soon.
** After dating a woman who gets him more in touch with his emotions, Jerry pulls a 180 and becomes and incredibly caring man after their breakup. So much so he initiates a real heart to heart with George. Unfortunately, after George opens up to him (offscreen) about who he really is, Jerry is so shocked that he reverts to his usual apathetic self.
