* ArtShift: His haunting is done in the form of paper cutouts -- even the people appear grotesquely warped and distorted, and he himself is a mass of scribbles.
* AndIMustScream: He describes himself as trapped and desperate to die. He can, ironically, inflict this on others too, turning them into puppets who are explicitly conscious and in agony.
* BlackBugRoom: The room under the basement is his, endlessly looping through his traumas and grief. Being trapped here hasn't been good for his mental state.
* FrameUp: [[spoiler: His father was framed for the Scarlet family's negligence, ruining his life and driving him to alcoholism and abuse. Gaining justice for this is his unfinished business.]]
* HellisThatNoise: The constant, plasticy stretching that forms as he puppeteers people -- it sounds like their bodies are about to ''snap''.
* LivingDollCollector: In life he was a dollmaker, which leads to his ability to PeoplePuppet others in death.
