* UndyingLoyalty: Ranmaru's defining characteristic is his mad devotion to Nobunaga, which compels him to commit truly heinous actions as he searches for a way to resurrect his former master. This reaches its peak when he ultimately sacrifices himself by pinning down Shinjiro so that Nobunaga can blast them both, showing no hesitation whatsoever.

* NamesToRunAwayFromReallyFast: Yasha isn't actually that threatening of a name as yaksha (Hindu/Buddhist nature spirits) can be good or evil. However, her mech is called Shinmetsu which means ''divine destruction.''
* OminousOperaCape: She wears a long cape in the style of her previous contemporaries, Kazuma Shinguji/Demon King and Shinnosuke Yamazaki/Aoi Satan.
