* {{Expy}}: Of Sailor Moon's love interest Tuxedo Mask, AKA Mamoru, from ''Anime/SailorMoon''. They dress similarly and have relatively similar roles, but Magnificent Kamen is much darker and less trust-worthy. He also seems to be patterned after Prince Dios from ''Anime/RevolutionaryGirlUtena'' (the story's mention of a fictional company called the "Himemiya Heavy Industry" all but clinches that this is intentional). Like Dios, Magnificent Kamen rescues a girl in her darkest hour, setting himself up as a KnightInShiningArmor for a young Himei (who sees him as a fairy tale prince, in the same manner that Utena Tenjou saw Dios when she first met him). [[spoiler: Just like Dios, Magnificent Kamen turns out to be less than the ideal hero Himei sees him initially as, and the reveal that he's actually one of the Yamiko Commanders also parallels the reveal that Dios is actually Akio Ohtori, AKA End of the World. Even Kamen's comments that he will take Himei for himself after killing Seiki also mirror ''Utena's'' themes of abuse in how Akio is in an incestuous relationship with his sister, and also rapes Utena.]]

* AllegoricalCharacter: They're intrusive thoughts on legs, seeking to act out every impulse that their original human selves ever had. [[spoiler:When Shin is almost raped by Kotashi's Yamiko and he confronts him on it, he confirms that the thought was in his head, but it ''scared'' him and he was determined to never carry it out. Most people have violent or harmful thoughts creeping into their heads, but thoughts themselves do not make a person evil; only acting on the ones that hurt people.]]
