A village that exists between "Falador" and "Lumbridge". It's unknown when the village formed, but is all but guaranteed to have gained it's name from "Draynor Manor" Incidentally this means that the village is also named after Count Draynor Drakan, someone the villagers would not want to be associated with., which is located just North of it. The village is known for its great farm land. Several problems exist in the village though, it used to be terrorized by the vampyre named Count Draynor Drakan up until he was slayed by the player in the quest Vampyre Slayer, it's home to The Skulls; a violent gang, and a recent bank robbery.

Originally called the Ghost Town in RuneScape Classic, "Edgeville" is a town that exists at the edge of the Wilderness, hence the name. It's a very popular stop for players going into the "Wilderness" or entering "Varrock's Grand Exchange".

In the year of 161 of the Fifth Age a great conflict happened called the Edgeville Incident; back when it was still called the "Ghost Town", the conflicted started when the wizard criminal Solus Dellagar turned on his Zamorakian allies and attacking the "Ghost Town's" few citizens before he was apprehended. It's also relatively new territory in the "Kingdom of Misthalin" having been incorporated in it sometime in the year of 169 of the Fifth Age by King RoaldIt's currently unknown who owned the territory prior, if it's reclaimed territory or if anyone owned it to begin with. This likely mean that it was either purchased from the "Kingdom of Asgarnia", territory claimed from the "Wilderness" or simply a rebuilt settlement. and was given it's current name. Within the same year it was later attacked by three dragonkin and was only rebuilt in the sixth year of the Sixth Age by the World Guardian.

* InnocentBlueEyes: It's hard to tell, but her chathead appears to have blue eyes, which goes well with her HairOfGoldHeartOfGold trope.
* PaletteSwap: Downplayed, since there are some minor differences, but Litara heavily resembles many of the other women in the village.
* ThePiratesWhoDontDoAnything: She's referred to as an explorer in her examine text, she never does any exploring. The closest she does is help players get to the Stronghold Of Security to explore.

A haunted mansion owned by Count Draynor just north of "Draynor Village". It was found by Count Draynor sometime around the Third Age. Though arguably a part of "Draynor Village" it's massive size, distance from the village and the fact it may actually predate the village leads it to being treated as a separate territory.

----
* AnimateInanimateObject: They're chairs that can move, typically to follow players around.
* DontLookAtMe: They stop moving when the player they're following turns to look at it.

Upon completing her quest she rewards the player with either her Attractor or Accumulator depending on the players Ranged level. She also will begin to run a shop called Ava's Odds And Ends after her quest. She also plays a small role in the quests Do No Evil and Once Upon A Time An Gielinor: Flashback. She also sometimes appears in Distractions and Diversions Court Cases.
----
* BunnyEarsLawyer: Downplayed, Ava's a scientist who invents things all the while wearing bunny slippers. Of course it should also be noted that she seems to do all of her own personal work in the privacy of her own bedroom.
* ColorCodedEyes: Inverted, Ava's chathead appears to show her with green eyes; a color closely affiliated with life and health, yet much of her research seems to involve the undead.
* GadgeteerGenius: She invented her AttractorThough players with a Ranged level of 50 can instead get the upgraded version called Ava's Accumulator instead. as a reward for the player after completing the quest Animal Magnetism. * JerkWithAHeartOfGold: She's very quick to belittle or even insult the player, but is also happy to help them.
* LabcoatOfScienceAndMedicine: Is openly acknowledged as a scientist and inventor.
* MadScientist: Downplayed, since despite the fact that she's a scientist and preforms some questionable experiments, but appears to be quite sane and even shows signs of EveryoneHasStandards in regards to her boss Professor Oddenstein with the whole Ernest scandal.
* MessyHair: As opposed to her character model, Ava's chathead shows her with what appears to be this. This could be to help portray her as a MadScientist, show that she's not getting enough sleep or both.
* NiceGirl: Discussed and defied, all in one conversation.
-->Player: "What's a nice girl like you doing in a place like this?"
-->Ava: "I'm not a nice girl, I'm a respectable scientist researching the interactions between ghosts and the forces of pure science. I took over the position of assistant to the Professor upstairs, although, to be honest, his methods are somewhat eccentric. Did you hear about that Ernest scandal?"
* QuestGiver: She gives the player the job that's the Animal Magnetism quest.
* SleepDeprivation: Though not the worst example of this trope, prior to completing the quest Animal Magnetism Ava's dialogue suggests that she's not get enough sleep due to having a bad bed. Refusing to help her also has her mention using Professor Oddenstein's patented sleeping aid, which she claims bruises her head.
* SlidingScaleOfUndeadRegeneration: She states that she can restore the undead chickens used in her devices back to health/unhealth.
-->Player: "I need another arrow-attracting device, please."
-->Ava: "Well, luckily for you, they have a habit of returning to me when people lose them, so I have some spares. They are homing chickens, it seems. I'll need 999 gp, however, for the expenses involved in restoring the poor creature to health, or unhealth, or whatever."
* TapOnTheHead: Implied, but it could just be sarcasm about Professor Oddenstein's patented sleeping aid.
->"Very well, I suppose I'll just have to resort to the Professor's patented sleeping aid in order to get some rest. It does so bruise my head, though."
* YoureInsane: She'll question if the player is this if they try to give her a non-chicken related item on her during the quest Animal Magnetism.

----
* ForcedTransformation: He was turned into a chicken by Professor Oddenstein with his new invention the pouletmorph machine.

Later on a case was filed against him by Ernest for turning him into a chicken, which can be seen in the Distractions And Diversion Court Cases.

He also has a younger brother called Doctor Oddenstein and an assistant named Ava.
----
* AbsentMindedProfessor: He seems to be a little out of touch with the world. A great example would be in the Ernest the Chicken quest where he doesn't seem to understand why Veronica wouldn't want to marry Ernest as a chicken.
-->Professor Oddenstein: "Who's Veronica?"
-->Player: "Ernest's fiancée. She probably doesn't want to marry a chicken."

To this day the influence he's made in "Gielinor" through his adventures can still be seen today and is still pretty well known in the land.

Despite his fame and success Dionysius grew to become bitter, believing that he was not properly rewards for his deeds. Despite his retirement he still enjoys talking about his time as a RandomEvent his other "random" friends.
----
* AccidentalHero: In Recipe For Disaster he unknowingly saves Duke Horacio from the Culinoromancer by abducting him for one of his games.
* BirdsOfAFeather: His friendship with many of the other retired RandomEvent characters seems to be based off of this.
* InconvenientSummons: Like many of the other retired RandomEvents he often teleported players away for some task. Irony Ironically he can become a victim of this as seen below.
* Irony: After a long history of abducting players he ends up getting abducted by another ex RandomEvent Evil Bob, after the player asks him about his abductions.
* RandomEvent: Currently Subverted, but he used to be one of the game's Random Events. Now though he simply asks about both his time as an event and other events. Listed below are some of the things he would do during an event, though typically they would start with him Teleportation teleporting in front of a player.
** Sometimes he would just teleport in front of the player and wait for the player to speak to him. Upon being spoken too he will reward the player with a random item. Though that don't speak to him get teleported to a random location by him.
** Sometimes when he would appear he would teleport players outside of a maze. Players that would make it to the center of the maze would get a prize and get sent back to where they originally were. Faster players got better prizes.
** After appear he would sometimes give players a Strange Box, which when opened gave the player a puzzle to solve. Doing anything to the box, but solve the puzzle would cause another box to appear in the player's inventory, with only the original box containing a prize.
** He would sometimes teleport players to the Mime, Pinball and Surprise Exam! events. Though he appears to be the master of the Pinball event.
* Teleportation: As a RandomEvent it was shown that he had the ability to teleport and teleport players to other locations and though he no longer is a random event, it's mention and shown that he still has these abilities. ----
* AllWitchesHaveCats: He's the pet cat of Wendy.
* AmazingTechnicolorWildlife: A purple cat.
* CatsAreMagic: Just barely qualifies since it owes the color of it's fur to a magic potion, appropriately named the "Magic unguent".
* Familiar: He's pretty much this to Wendy.
* LockedIntoStrangeness: He was just a regular cat with tortoiseshell fur, but had his fur permanently dyed purple by the witch Wendy with her magic unguent. Thankfully he admits that he grew to like the color.

A talking turoth that first appeared as a part one of Meg's Cases during the Mega May event in 2016. The case was called Turoth Reports Theft of a Sock, were it's revealed that the Turoth purchased a pack of socks from Thessalia Nitter only to have sock missing from his pack. Thankfully through the players efforts Thessalia realizes that too Turoth a pack of sock is made up of three instead of a pair like most people. Turoth is then given his third sock and the Turoth Reports Theft of a Sock case is closed.

Oddly enough though after the Mega May event ended most things affiliated with it were removed from the game; including all of Meg's Cases, Turoth remained though making him a artifact of the entire event.
----
* ADogNamedDog: Downplayed, he's only ever been identified by his species' name.
* AccessoryWearingCartoonAnimal: Zig-Zagged, since it's not quite clear what exactly a turoth is, are they an animal or a race of sapient beings? But, as you can see he likes to wear socks, in fact they're actually a major part of his character.
* TheArtifact: Though he still exists in the game and thanks the player for their assistance in Turoth Reports Theft of a Sock of Meg's Cases in Mega May, the event is over and aside from Turoth everything has been removed. This means that for a player to understand anything about the character; including why he's thanking the player, the player would have to either participated in the event, ask another player who participated or do some research online.
->"Thank you for correcting the great injustice!"
* BizarreAlienLimbs: Like all turoths he has three legs.
* CivilizedAnimal: Zig-Zagged, since it's not quite clear what exactly a turoth is, are they an animal or a race of sapient beings? What is known is that this turoth is the only known example of a civilized turoth; talking, wearing clothes and even using money, all other turoths seen seem to be nothing more than animals wandering in caves and dungeons.
* HandPuppet: The sock on his right foot/hand appears to be one since it has button eyes.
* TalkingAnimal: Zig-Zagged, since it's not quite clear what exactly a turoth is, are they an animal or a race of sapient beings? If they are animals though, it should be noted that this one can talk.

Originally called the Ghost Town in RuneScape Classic, "Edgeville" is a town that exists at the edge of the Wilderness, hence the name. It's a very popular stop for players going into the "Wilderness" or entering "Varrock's Grand Exchange".

Lore wise "Edgeville" historically was known as the town "Paddewwa" and later simply the "Ghost Town"Likely a ShoutOut to RuneScape Classic..

More commonly known as Evil Dave, he is a Zamorakian who is bizarrely obsessed with evilness. He lives in his mother's basement.
----
* BadIsGoodAndGoodIsBad: He's very gung-ho about his evil-ness and shows it by speaking this way.
* BasementDweller: He still lives in his mom's basement.
* BeCarefulWhatYouWishFor: When he ends up in the Adventurer's body, he hopes to impress Zamorak by involving himself in Zamorak's ancient dispute with Saradomin. It didn't occur to him just how serious the situation might get, and he runs away in horror when it leads to Saradomin and Zamorak's knights getting killed.
* CloudCuckoolander: He can be rather out there with his evilness spiel.
* CrouchingMoronHiddenBadass: A possibly unintentional one: During "Evil Dave's Big Day Out", he somehow manages to get into Zamorak's hidden base beneath Daemonheim all by himself. While the game heavily recommends you complete Dishonor Among Thieves first (which gives the player an object to teleport there), it's possible to start the quest without doing that one first, meaning the player has no way into the base. This means that Dave managed to fend off the horrors of Daemonheim, solve a ton of puzzles, and descend a grand total of 60 floors, all by himself. In what could have only been a few hours.
* ADayInTheLimelight: He's the focus of the "Evil Dave's Big Day Out" quest, where he body swaps with the Adventurer after a ritual goes wrong, and goes to meet with Zamorak in the guise of the World Guardian, hoping the god of chaos will reciprocate his "evilness".
* GirlsWithMoustaches: During the "Evil Dave's Big Day Out" quest, his body is temporarily converted into one as a disguise so that the adventurer can sneak into the city while stuck in his body.
* HarmlessVillain: According to Gypsy Aris, this is the reason Evil Dave is part of the Lumbridge Castle Secret Society. They're contractually obligated to have a TokenEvilTeammate, but they didn't want anyone who could cause actual problems.
* IneptMage: Has been trying to summon demons in his basement, but all he has managed to summon are harmless Hellrats.
* LargeHam: Just listen to his ramblings about evil.
* NiceGuy: In spite of his obsession with evilness, he's a great guy, and can't stand violence (which makes him faint) or vandalism.
* PokeThePoodle: This is his brand of evil. When he's confronted with genuine evil, he's rather disturbed. This is the reason why he was chosen to be part of the Lumbridge Council, as the council in question needed to include a dark wizard and they did not desire one that was a major threat such as Solus Dellagar.
* TrademarkFavoriteFood: Spicy Stew, or as he calls it "EVIL STEW OF DOOM." In Evil Dave's subquest of Recipe for Disaster the player must figure out exactly right amount of spices to make his favourite stew though a trial and error puzzle.

Historically it was located just south of the "Wizards' Tower" before it's removal from the map and may still canonly be there with how Wizard Myrtle mentioning it being close to the tower.
----

* BodyHorror: The transformation of the tutors and other inhabitants is not pleasant to look at.

That said there is some evidence that suggests that this isn't entirely because of the curse as shown in Hector Vivian's writings in the Message in a bottle, where at least some of the tutors Most notably Brynna and Vannaka, who left before he could get cursed. try to force him through the tutorials despite the fact he doesn't belong there.

During the quest Beneath Cursed Tides he helps the player break into the bank's vault, since that is currently the only for the player to make money and complete his task.
----
* CheapGoldCoins: Teaches the player about the game's standard currency, which is this.
* GottaHaveItGonnaStealIt: He more or less pushes this trope onto the player in the quest Beneath Cursed Tides and it's justified since the player needs to make money in order to break a curse, but breaking into his bank's vault is currently the only way to do that.
* ReasonableAuthorityFigure: When he acknowledges that the only viable way to make money in his tutorial during the quest Beneath Cursed Tides and breaking the curse is by robbing the bank he provides clues to help them. This might also suggest that he wasn't as affected by the mental aspect of the curse as some other tutors.

While on the Island he was unable to leave thanks to the Island's tutors believing his to be another would be adventure in need of training. He quickly grew frustrated finding the tasks given to him to be beneath him, so in revenge he sank the Island and cursed the inhabitants Vannaka however left the Island beforehand and the banker named Jed was killed.. During the events of the Beneath Cursed Tides quest he tries to stop the player from breaking his curse and putting his curse on a captured Vannaka completing it. He was however stopped by the player and Wizard Myrtle. He then had his own curse placed on him by Wizard Terrova trapping him on the sunken Island.

The man has a right to be angry.
* MakingASplash: He claims to have formally been a hydromancer, a type of magic based on the manipulation of water. That said it's unclean how he's no longer a hydromancer since he still appears to use water based magic and it's likely this type of magic played a role in sinking "Tutorial Island".

!Wizards' Tower

A famous institute of magic and runecrafting, it's located just south of "Draynor Village" on a small Island. The institute was started sometime in the early years of the Fifth Age by four wizard orders The Blue Order (Saradomin), the Red Order (Zamorak), the Green Order (Guthix) and the Grey Order (Other). to have a safe place to both research and discuss their findings in magic. Sometime in year 70 of the Fifth Age a ritual meant to enable teleportation magic by creating a connection between the plane of "Gielinor" and "The Abyss". Unfortunately despite the success of the ritual it was interrupted when the wizards of the Blue Order left due to the demonic influence in the ritual, which caused the destruction of the original tower and the death of the wizards still preforming the ritual. The Blue Order then blamed the Red Order due to the demon involved and banishing the Zamorakians from practicing magic or joining the institute Despite the fact that only Zamorakian's were banished and are actively being kept from entering tower all current proper members appear to be Saradominists, suggesting that at some point the Blue Order took complete control.. Around the same time as the banishing took place the current tower was constructed.

At the top of the tower are portals to both the "Runecrafting Guild" and the "Runespan".
----

* ColorMotif: Most of the wizards at the tower can be seen wearing blue colored clothing. This is because sometime after the destruction of the first "Wizards' Tower" the institute was taken over by the Blue Order, a group of wizards that followed the god Saradomin who himself had a blue ColorMotif.
** BlueIsCalm: The Blue Order created most of the non-combat related spells in the standard spellbook and believed that magic should be used to help people suggesting a peaceful nature.
** BlueIsHeroic: Like most other Saradominists they tend to see themselves as good if not outrightly heroic compared to other religious factions, though as many players can tell you the truth is far more complicated.
* WizardBeard: Most of the men have one.
* WizardClassic: The standard for wizards in VideoGame/RuneScape.

The Lesser Demon trapped within the "Wizards' Tower" and watched over by Wizard Grayzag and later Wizard Taloram. He was summoned sometime in year 70 of the Fifth Age and played a important role in the creation of teleportation magic and incidentally the destruction of the first "Wizards' Tower" as revealed in the quest Rune Memories. He also plays a role in the quest Imp Catcher where it's revealed that he's the one that taught Wizard Grayzag how to summon imps and is in fact manipulating him for reasons unknown. After completing the quest Rune Memories and having level 50 Magic and Prayer the player can make a deal with him, with the player's choice granting them 10,000 experience in either the Magic or Prayer skill.

He's also been known by the names Lemmy and Timmy Before RuneScape 3 this was his name..
----
* BloodMagic: Implied or maybe Invoked, after completing the quest Rune Memories and having level 50 Magic and Prayer the player can make a deal with him, granting them 10,000 experience in the Magic skill, all the player has to do is give him a drop of their blood. Rejecting his offer will instead grant the player 10,000 experience in the Prayer skill.
* DeathIsCheap: He has been destroyed numerous times by the wizards of "Wizards' Tower", but would respawn in the same spot overtime. In response to this the wizards created a barrier around the spot to keep him from escaping.
* EvilerThanThou: According to the imps from the Imp Catcher quest he's far worse then themselves.
* SealedEvilInACan: As stated above, DeathIsCheap for Azacorax and killing him just causes him to respawn in the same location. When the wizards killing him realized this they created a barrier around the spot to keep him from escaping from the "Wizards' Tower" 2nd floor most eastern room.
** Players are free to take advantage of this, since he can't defend himself.
* Teleportation: As revealed in the quest Rune Memories, Azacorax played a very important role in the creation of teleportation magic.
