-->Chief Thief Robin: "Yes, I've never heard that one before. Still, it's not so bad... If I hadn't been mocked for my name as a lad, I might never have decided in a fit of ironic pique to learn how to rob from the rich and give to the poor."
-->Player: "Are you the poor in question?"
-->Chief Thief Robin: "Well, I was. Having given myself the goods stolen from several rich people, I'm now of limited but comfortable means. Now, what can I do for you?"

The founder and leader of the Thieves Guild. He is known for being very charismatic and dramatic and enjoys giving speeches to inspire members of the guild. Despite being a master thief he rarely gets involved in "capers", which he justifies with the fact that he's well known. Instead he spends most of his time sending out recruits for income to expand and otherwise improve the guild.
----
* TheCaper: Occasionally sets these up, in fact a series of miniquests from him are referred to as "capers". Naturally he fulfills the role of "The Mastermind" in the caper.
* DastardlyWhiplash: Though hardly sinister, Darren is still a thief, makes schemes; often in the form of a caper and has a impressive handlebar mustache.
* GentlemanThief: Darren is a polite and friendly individual who happens to at least partly steal for the fun of it. As the he slowly begins to become even more of this trope with his clothes getting more fashionable.

-->Player: "..."
-->Donie: "Not just a pretty face eh? Ha ha ha."
* MagicStaff: Subverted, she originally tries to convince the player that her staff is one of these before she gives up and admits that it's not, but that she intends to get one from Zaff in Varrock after she save up enough money.

----
* AdventurerOutfit: Fittingly he wears a classic safari outfit.
* ObliviouslyEvil: In the Myths of the White Lands quest the snow imps declare him nosy, greedy and annoying, which is fair since he was intending to some of the riches The riches actually turned out to be yeti dung, which was part of a prank from the snow imps. from the Land Of Snow. There's also his conversation between the player and Zanik in the Death To The Dorgeshuun quest.
-->Player: "Hello there."
-->Explorer Jack: "Hold perfectly still! Now, don't panic but... ...you're being stalked by some foul creature."
-->Zanik: "Oh! I can't see any creature. Is it disguised?"
-->Explorer Jack: "Remarkable! It can speak rather well in human tongue. I must say, it's not often you hear a goblin speak so well. In fact, it'd make a rather splendid addition to my exploration collection."
-->Zanik: "I'm not going to be part of any collection!"
-->Explorer Jack: "Of course, we'll need to visit the taxidermist to have you stuffed. And there'll be the whole unpleasant business of... er... ending you. But then you'd be my most exquisite article!"
-->Zanik: "This is ridiculous! Can't you enjoy anything without destroying it? Let's go, [Player]."

----
* BaldMystic: He's bald and a priest.
* BeliefMakesYouStupid: Seems to have a poor understanding of Gielinor's history, with his beliefs having warped many of the godly events from Gielinor's history to portraying Saradomin as more moral and powerful then he actually was.
* InstantGravestone: Though Father Aereck never dies in the game and as such never leaves a gravestone behind, he does sell gravestones to players after completing The Restless Ghost quest.
