* HeroWithBadPublicity: [[spoiler:In New Mobotropolis, Naugus used the confusion and panic in the aftermath of the Super Genesis Wave to cast Sonic as a failure who screwed up the CosmicRetcon and now is living life carefree having written them all off. To emphasize it, on New Mobotropolis' "memorial" for everyone who was erased/reset by the Super Genesis Wave, Sonic is not present.]]

The beleaguered leader of The Restoration and best friend of Tangle.

* BreakTheCutie: Let's see. [[spoiler:Her day gets scrambled by the Super Genesis Wave which left her blind and deaf for a while, only to watch Geoffrey crown himself king of New Mobotropolis after stating that Naugus sacrificed himself to save the citizens from the CosmicRetcon while naming him the successor. She witnesses Sonic being made the fall guy of all their problems. Her attempts to sing some sense into the citizens gets shut down by her own boyfriend Ash who doesn't want to get her taken prisoner for dissent. The Forget Me Knots and Ash get themselves arrested in her place to let her escape and find Sonic. She finds Sonic but cracks when he doesn't know her. Gets an existential crisis when she finds out from a nearby library that everyone and everything she knows doesn't exist on Earth. She later becomes a vagrant wondering from city to city, before settling in Akira's café. She runs into the rebooted Chaotix which triggers another breakdown and causes her to run away while only leaving a goodbye note. By the time Mammoth Mogul's men find her wandering Studiopolis, she is left a hollow husk of a person. It wasn't until Team Freedom runs into her in Club Spin as Mogul planned that things get better for her]].

* {{Foil}}: To the deceased [[ComicBook/SonicTheHedgehogIDW Dr. Starline]], another would-be Eggman AscendedFanboy and exceptionally-skilled scientist/engineer with an ego. Judging by several comments, Starline actually was a part of Thunderbolt's group before he struck out on his own [[spoiler:and took their Chaos Emeralds with him]] all so he could get the glory of that position for himself, something Thunderbolt ''despises'' him for. The biggest difference between the two would be how exactly they view Eggman: Thunderbolt's admiration is tempered by the knowledge that she would only ever be a loyal and valued subordinate at best and she ''welcomes'' that position, while Starline despite his admiration ultimately wanted to be seen not just as Eggman's top minion, but his ''equal'' [[spoiler:and his inability to get that drives a wedge between them, their falling-out, Starline's attempts to "correct" it, and his UndignifiedDeath after being beaten by Eggman]]. This is best seen in their interactions with Metal Sonic: Thunderbolt spends her time gushing over him while repairing and reattaching his damaged arm and openly admits that said repairs are nothing to what Eggman would do but that she hopes they will suffice for now, while Starline viewed Metal Sonic as a rival for the doctor's attention.

* {{Cyborg}}: Cassia's face is extensively mechanical, as "treatment" for something unspecified. Though there is passing mention that her eyes are now entirely glass, her muscles have gotten augmentations, and several organs were replaced.

* MadScientist: While it isn’t as prevalent as Thunderbolt, it is shown that he makes his own version of badniks and oversees the repairs of Metal Sonic when he arrives.

* FanGirl: Just like her Archie self, she is wildly devoted to Eggman and has been building up a group to support him.

* TransformationOfThePossessed: As his clash with Blaze went on, Geoffrey's body which was already in poor condition even before the fight began, starts breaking down at the fight itself and is actually ''turning into his own original body to compensate''. One quick usage of the Egg Grapes' energy draining function later, Geoffrey's body was restored.

* MorphWeapon: Unlike most Resistance Wispons, her staff is a prototype "Variable Wispon" that can reconfigure itself based on various Wisps that attach to it (a [[DropTheHammer hammer]] for Cube, a BoomStick for Rocket, etc.). To elaborate:

* ControlFreak: Actually has nothing against robbing the sentience of her clan to get them to follow her orders. She even does this to all the adults of the echidnas and to Julie-Su so that she can force her half-sister to follow her orders under threat of death. Deconstructed as all this serves to turn practically all of the echidnas against her in Julie-Su's coup.

* MyGodWhatHaveIDone: [[spoiler:After the SGW and seeing New Mobotropolis descend further into tyranny]], Mina began to realize how much of the current situation is partly her fault because Naugus took advantage of her concert which was done to air a hateful and spiteful song against Nicole and the Freedom Fighters. On top of that, she realized how she basically fooled herself into thinking her intentions were far nobler than they were and apologized to Nicole for reasons that weren't true to begin with. This caused Mina to spiral into depression and self-loathing.

* BlackSpeech: When it spoke during the multiversal rewrite of the Super Genesis Wave, to most of the denizens of New Mobotropolis it came out more like horrible noise being threaded through the screams of everyone being erased and rewritten. To Jules, who being a robian could filter through most of the screaming to hear it clearly, still felt the primal fear of a child scared to death of a monster hiding under the bed with each word.

The criminal skunk brother duo, they are caught by Sally as they engage in their usual antics.

* PragmaticVillainy: As Thunderbolt rages over [[spoiler:Nicole deactivating Bunnie's bomb and thus removing her leverage on the Hooligan to keep paying her debt]], Stone calms her down by stating it doesn't matter now [[spoiler:since they have all the funding they need and construction of their Death Carrier is nearly complete, so their operation to take New Mobotropolis is about to proceed]]. They can deal with a wayward "piggy bank" at any time of their leisure after their true goal is complete.

* WomenAreWiser: Is portrayed as the smartest member of the Hooligans.

* {{Blackmail}}: Threatened to destroy [[spoiler:Bunnie's new implants in order to force her to provide funding for her various endeavors.]]

* BadassAdorable: Cassia, oh so much.
* BerserkButton: While Clove is normally reluctant to hurt others and is willing to spare people from a beatdown if they just turn around and run, she will not tolerate any badmouthing of her sister. She seriously contemplates killing Rough when he calls Cassia a freak.

* OnlySaneMan: Seems to be one of the more rational and down-to-earth members of Thunderbolt's group.

* FoolishSiblingResponsibleSibling: Cassia's the foolish while Clove is the responsible.

* EvenEvilHasStandards: They draw the line at taking lives. Bean is often held back by the other Hooligans to avoid mass casualties from his bombs.

* TheMole: [[spoiler:Serves as one for Thunderbolt's group of Eggman supporters, giving them intel and access to New Mogotropolis' network]].

* RevengeByProxy: [[spoiler:He's fully willing to kill Mina not just because she's a remnant of the old world, but because she was one of Sonic's "mates".]]
* {{Sadist}}: He contemplated breaking into Restoration HQ and torturing Jewel the Beetle into revealing Mecha Sally’s location before killing her anyway and very much wants to destroy Nicole right in front of Sally. There’s no logical reason to either action, other than for his own enjoyment. Deconstructed later on when [[spoiler:Sally realises this and manipulates Metal Sonic in the Studiopolis fight, effectively able to read his moves like an open book]].

* PsychoPrototype: To Sage, as while Phage possesses UndyingLoyalty to Eggman just like her successor, she's also obviously ''much'' more bloodthirsty than Sage ever was.

** The existence of the old world has become one for him as well. He’s made it his personal mission to eliminate every trace of it, starting with Sally, as he's insulted by the Eggman of Mobius' assertion that that her Mecha form would make her a perfect "compliment" to himself. [[spoiler:Discovering New Mobotropolis still exists causes him to go ballistic, immediately prioritizing the city’s destruction over Sally’s as that place is where the ''army'' of Metal Sonics are conceptualised]].

** The existence of the old world has become one for him as well. He’s made it his personal mission to eliminate every trace of it, starting with Sally. [[spoiler:Discovering New Mobotropolis still exists causes him to go ballistic, immediately prioritizing the city’s destruction over Sally’s as that place is where the ''army'' of Metal Sonics are conceptualised]].

A computer virus that was originally the prototype of [[VideoGame/SonicFrontiers Sage]]. She had been locked away by Eggman when she began to consume his own data, saved only because he thought she might have some future use. Now freed by Metal Sonic to counteract any hacking by Nicole, she seeks to consume Nicole’s data to satiate her seemingly never ending hunger.

* GrewBeyondTheirProgramming: [[spoiler: After consuming come of Nicole's data]], Phage began to change and morph into a completely different kind of artificial intelligence far beyond her original program capabilities.

** DropTheHammer: With her Blue Wisp in, she can use her Variable Wispon as a hammer and powerful melee weapon.

* StoryBreakerPower: His psychokinesis is so overpowered compared to the rest of Team Freedom with the exception of Blaze that in major fights, he is the first to go down to prevent the rest of the heroes from being made redundant.

* ItsAllMyFault: Elias fully blames himself for Sally’s robotization and separation from the pre-SGW universe characters.

* TheBrute: The main muscle of the gang.

* LadyOfBlackMagic: Rosemary is currently a member of Naugus's cult and is implied to have learned at least some Ixis Magicks.

* JerkassHasAPoint: While he’s extremely abrasive and rude about it, he’s not wrong that Amadeus’ actions to secure Team Freedom’s escape led to the capture of many Freedom Fighters, numbering up to almost ''half'' of their overall forces. He's also right to point out that Amadeus has no real experience in fighting on the frontlines of a guerrilla war campaign and engaging in sabotage, and he should have listened to Hamlin who has more experience in both.

* CameBackWrong: Has been suffering from dissociative episodes after returning from Cyber Space, often involving concerning ramblings. It's implied that this is due to encountering THE END during the Super Genesis Wave.
* FantasticRacism: It's implied by some of his comments and reactions to post-SGW characters that he doesn't think of "Genesis Births" as being "actual" people compared to individuals from Mobius.

* OnlySaneMan: Seems to be the only member of the Secret Freedom Fighters that isn’t traumatized or deeply damaged by the events of the Super Genesis Wave and the wars of Mobius.

* AppearanceIsInTheEyeOfTheBeholder: Like in the game, THE END takes the appearance of whatever the person seeing it perceives as death. It’s implied that seeing THE END's true form drove Elias, Lyco, and Leeta temporarily mad.

* CanonForeigner: His character originates from [[Film/SonicTheHedgehog the]] [[Film/SonicTheHedgehog22022 movies]] and he appears nowhere else in the franchise.

* OlderThanTheyLook: [[spoiler:If the memory she unlocked in Chapter 25 is true, she was once the head priestess/friend of the 'Supreme Goddess' (who is heavily implied to be Sally Acorn's MirrorCharacter) during the times of the Ancients]].

* LadyOfBlackMagic: Rosemary is currently a member of Naugus's cult and is implied to have learned at some Ixis Magicks.

* OlderThanTheyLook: If the memory she unlock is true... she was once the head priestess/friend with the 'Supreme Goddess' during the times of the Ancients.

* NotInThisForYourRevolution: The only reason he is working for the Bosses is because Clove beat him in a duel. He only takes orders from her and makes it clear that he’s only sticking around until he manages to defeat her.
