* BadBoss: Egregiously so. His dialogue explicitly reveals that he sacrifices dozens, if not hundreds, of his employees to supply his...''less savory'' employees: he is sending some of his own ships (and ships and men under the jurisdiction of the UNSC) into Chorus's region of space to have them shipwrecked by tractor beams or infiltrated and stolen by his other men. He also makes it clear to Locus and Felix that if they don't speed things up, he'll have them killed.

Trope misuse. They are Co Dragons, not Big Bad Duumvirate. Yes they are the more immediate threat but there is already a trope for that: The Heavy. Big Bad Duumvirate is strictly a Big Bad suptrope, and the only Big Bad during the Chorus Trilogy is Malcolm Hargrove.

Hargrove himself is more of a GreaterScopeVillain who doesn't even get directly involved until the last episode of the trilogy, after Locus breaks free of Felix's manipulations and Felix himself dies. Hargrove is ultimately the greater threat, and Felix himself is [[BigBadWannabe fairly reliant on Locus]], but the two are nevertheless the [[TheHeavy much more prominent and impactful antagonists]].

* BigBadDuumvirate: [[DownplayedTrope Downplayed]], as the two are CoDragons for Malcolm Hargrove, but Felix and Locus are the most immediate threats of the Chorus Trilogy. As the leaders of the Space Pirates, the two are responsible fueling the civil war, and receive far greater enmity from both the Reds and Blues and the inhabitants of Chorus for their betrayal. Hargrove himself is more of a GreaterScopeVillain who doesn't even get directly involved until the last episode of the trilogy, after Locus breaks free of Felix's manipulations and Felix himself dies. Hargrove is the bigger threat in the long run, but Felix and Locus [[TheHeavy are far more prominent and impactful antagonists]].

* NGOSuperpower: They have enough resources to maintain a small army, including a powerful battleship, and are able to wage war on an entire planet. However, this trope is ultimately [[SubvertedTrope subverted]] in the grand scheme of things, as Charon had to rely on {{False Flag Operation}}s to get the people of Chorus to murder each other, and once the warring factions unite they prove strong enough to overwhelm Charon's forces despite both having been already nearly destroyed at that point. Once the [=UNSC=] gets informed of the situation, it's an automatic loss for Hargrove.

* KnightOfCerebus: Upon TheReveal that he's Locus and Felix's employer and responsible for the genocidal Chorus Civil War, every scene with him has a dark and serious tone, notwithstanding the insults thrown at him by the Reds and Blues. Even before then, he was never PlayedForLaughs.

** To Wyoming, the other ColdSniper antagonist in the series. Wyoming is Laughably Evil, while Locus is a KnightofCerebus. Both are soldiers trying to fulfill their orders and play The Dragon to the Big Bad of the season(s). However, Locus is cold, calculating, and to the point while Wyoming is hammy, prideful, and likes to draw things out. Locus constantly makes use of his armor ability, while Wyoming only uses his at the very end. However, Locus is manipulated by his partner, and ultimately strives to redeem himself for what he had done. While Wyoming is a manipulator, attempting to put all the pieces into motion before his (final) death.

** On yet another level, the reason Locus goes by the name of his armour type is because his CO told him back in the war that a soldier is nothing more than a suit of armour with a gun and no will of their own. This is the archetype Locus aspires to live by until he finally realises that Felix is using that to manipulate him into being his puppet.

* ZeroPercentApprovalRating: After his true allegiance is revealed, absolutely nobody likes him. The BGC and the inhabitants of Chorus despise him for being a traitor, and his own partner Locus, his colleagues Sharkface and the Counselor, and even his own men hate him for being an asshole.

* TomTheDarkLord: His codename is "Felix," which is a fairly unassuming name. Suffice to say, it doesn't even begin to describe the absolute monster that he is. His real name, Isaac Gates, isn't much better.
