A Shadow Elf from the world of TabletopGame/Mystara, Farrow is a former member of the dreaded Eyes of the Serpent; a secret society of thieves, spies, saboteurs and assassins dedicated to protecting their race at all cost. When a mission went wrong in Glantri, he was hurled through a Gate into Sigil, where he managed to survive and ultimately came to join the Revolutionary League. Unfortunately for him, he ended up falling under the sway of Shemeshka the Marauder, who gave him a Ring of Disguise and ordered him to infiltrate every faction at the same time. The result was too much for the elf's mind, and it catastrophically splintered; each of his disguises became its own seperate personality, with poor Farrow sharing his body with them whenever the right circumstances are triggered.

Only the sight of somebody flaunting or challenging a repressive authority will trigger the re-emergence of Farrow himself.\\
In 2nd edition, his 14 alter-egos and their triggers are:
* Dox: A male human wizard noted for his pointy chin, Dox is the alter who is a member of the Athar. Dox manifests whenever Farrow or one of the other alters comes in contact with a vocal street preacher.
* Ozer Pidey: A chubby female elf priest of the Believers of the Source. She takes over when Farrow encounters somebody who boasts of besting the challenges that the multiverse has thrown in their past.
* Wellrock: A male tiefling assassin with long, jet black hair, Wellrock is Farrow's alter for the Bleak Cabal, and takes over in response to encounters with horrific or pathetic sights.
* Trez Damrod: A violent-tempered, dark-skinned, male human warrior, this is Farrow's Doomguard alter, and he takes over when Farrow encounters a wanton act of entropy.
* Kale O'Seth: This male half-elf bard is the alter used to infiltrate the Dustmen. He takes over when Farrow encounters somebody dying a natural death.
* Burbery: This red-tinged female tiefling pickpocket belongs to the Fated, and surfaces whenever Farrow either strongly focuses on obtaining something or sees somebody strong or capable taking from the weak.
* Mellon Mahl: Short and bald, this male human serves the Fraternity of Order as a lowly clerk in the City Court. Questions of the law, whether directly addressed to one of Farrow's alters or simply overheard, trigger his emergence.
* Kirrik the Ear: A blonde, bearded, male half-elf gossiper, Kirrik is the alter used to infiltrate the Free League. He takes control whenever Farrow sees somebody defy a faction or otherwise stand up for their own beliefs.
* Josbert Plum: A towering male human paladin, Josbert is the most righteous and benevolent of the alters, with a sincere faith in the Harmonium. He emerges to defend Farrow if ever Farrow is directly threatened, but can also take over whenever Farrow sees somebody commit a crime.
* Skiba: This tattoo-adorned female elf ranger is the Mercykiller alter, and takes over whenever Farrow believes a lawbreaker hasn't been lawfully punished. If she takes over, she stops at nothing to "correct" this problem. This can make it rather hard to predict whether a crime will trigger the emergence of Josbert or Skiba.
* Sylvester Goldwax: With the appearance of a toothless old male human, Sylvester is a street artist with connections to the Sign of One (specifically, the Will of the One subfaction), and he takes control whenever Farrow sees somebody engaged in an act of creation.
* Aza Dowling: A hedonistic, horn-headed female tiefling mage, Aza is the alter representing the Society of Sensation. She is obsessed with novelty, and only takes over when offered (or challenged with) tantalizing new experiences -- as a result, she is appearing less and less of the alters.
* Featherback: A sleek, athletic, male human druid, Featherback belongs the Transcendant Order and is triggered by the sight of people performing physically demanding and dexterous tasks.
* Rue-The-Day: A boisterous, prank-loving elf, Rue-The-Day is a Xaositect to the core, and surges to dominance in response to sights of "wholly inane activity", as the sourcebook puts it.

* AGodIAmNot: Although the Lady's power level is divine at the very least, she refuses to allow others to worship her, swiftly Mazing or flaying anyone who tries. Some argue that it's because she's an entity of such power that begin called a "mere" god is insulting. It's more commonly accepted, and may be the official explanation, that if she were to allow others to worship her like a god, then that would turn her into an official god, which would collapse the warding around Sigil that keeps gods out.

*Nerf: An ever so slight one in the 5e Planescape: Adventures In The Multiverse sourcebooks. While the Lady remains unstatted and thus cannot be defeated by anything short of the GM saying she was, her namesake ability has taken a slight hit in lethality; rather than instantly flaying the body and soul of those she passes her shadow across, miscreants who draw the wrong kind of attention from her are wracked with such unconscionable pain that it instantly drops them to 1 hit point with no saving throw or means of mitigating it. Then, if the clueless berk somehow didn't get the memo to stop screwing around, she Mazes them while they're still in that state, forcing a critically injured person into a randomized near-infinite labyrinth that can have anything running around in it with them.
* NotSoStoic: Very much downplayed considering that she only ever communicates via proxies that speak in rebuses, but there have been two published adventures that show she is more cognizant of what goes on around her beyond punishing troublemakers. In "Die, Vecna, Die!" it is noted that she is having to actually expend a significant portion of her power and attention to maintain Sigil's wards in the face of Vecna's assault, and the epilogue of "Turn Of Fortune's Wheel" has a Dabus give the party a message that more or less congratulates them on behalf of the Lady for fixing the cosmic imbalance at the heart of the adventure's plot, as well as permitting the Dabus to turn a random brick into a Cubic Gate for their use, one face of which is specifically keyed to Sigil so that the party can return to the city whenever they want in a massive show of appreciation and trust from the entity that once slew the God of Portals.

Male Fensir twins who migrated to Sigil from their former homes in Ysgard due to their being regarded as bad luck for their lack of the normally innate spell-casting abilities of their people.

A floating and rather sarcastic human skull, often mistaken
for their lack of a mimir but very definitively isn't. Presents the normally innate spell-casting abilities of their people. Driven by despair, they easily fell 5E's monster book, Morte's Planar Parade. For tropes related to his appearance in with the Bleakers faction, and with their artistic talents (or delusions, in Morvun's case), they have since chosen to scrape a living as bleakniks.Planescape: Torment, go here.

Added DiffLines:

* MrExposition: In addition to presenting Planar Parade he is the first NPC encountered by the players in Turn of Fortune's Wheel and introduces them to Sigil.
* OracularHead: Like mimirs, he's a floating skull who knows a lot about the planes, unlike mimirs, he has a personality.
* UnreliableExpositor: Just about anything he says should be taken with a few grains of salt. He was condemned to the Hells for lying in life after all.

* EnsembleDarkhorse: Of the [=NPCs=] of Planescape, she may easily be one of the best known, besides the Lady of Pain herself. When the 4th edition "Manual of the Planes" sourcebook was released, Shemeshka was one of the very few Planescape [=NPCs=] to make the edition jump. Indeed, one could argue that the Arcanoloths survived the transition and became the Ravaastas mainly due to her impact on Planescape. She was also brought back (along with the return of the Arcanaloths to their proper name) in 5th edition as the in-story purveyor of Mordenkainen's Tome of Foes.

* MouthOfSauron: Since the Lady refuses to communicate with anyone directly, it falls to the Dabus to carry out her will and pass on any direct instructions from her to their intended recipients. Since the Dabus are generally seen as having her authority, virtually no one willingly obstructs their work or raises a hand against them, regardless of their alignment or persuasion, as doing so is a really good way to get on the Lady's bad side and wind up in one of her Mazes.
