* InterchangeableAsianCultures: Nene clearly has East Asian heritage, but what ethnicity she is gets left to the fans. Originally she was named after a (Russian) anime character and makes multiple references to {{Seppuku}}, hinting that she's Japanese, but other popular flashes such as ''Sim Date'' have instead labelled her as Chinese. Going towards the 2010s and into the K-Pop craze, Nene started getting labelled as South Korean too.

* VagueAge: While they look and act no older than the other kids in most interpretations, Pico consistently refers to their anger as "teen {{angst}}" in both versions of ''Pico's School''. WordOfGod is that they're all high school seniors, which means they're anywhere from 16 to 18.[[invoked]]

* MagneticHero: Inverted. The Punk Rock/Goth Gestapo only forms because all the main members are, in some way, grateful to Cassandra for being there for them. However, she doesn't care about them or their problems at all... at least in her first game. She sort of feels bad about preying on their vulnerabilities in ''Love Conquers All''.

* VillainousCrush: Cyclops claims Pico wasn't shot alongside his classmates because Cassandra has a crush on him. How right Cyclops is depends on the game, having it go from mere speculation to (at least in ''Pico's Cat Fight'') actually fighting other prospective love interests over dating him.

* NonstandardCharacterDesign: When a flash in question uses MonochromaticEyes for characters, Nene's eyes have a huge chance to be drawn as two rectangles, representing her Asian nationality. Designs that opt out of using rectangles instead make her eye shape more ovular or realistic than the others.

* SlenderManStandIn: Despite debuting ''about three years'' before [[Franchise/TheSlenderManMythos Slendy]], he manages to resemble him very closely, at least in his suited look in ''Newgrounds Rumble''.

* FatBastard: Mindchamber's version of her retains the bulkiness of her original sprites, unlike her teammates' skinnier redesigns. As the cruelest member of the group and the leader, it makes her LargeAndInCharge.

* PinkMeansFeminine: Her outfit consists of a dark pink headband, dress/overalls, and shoes, and light pink tights/pants, a light pink shirt, and light pink hearts on her shoes. In addition, she's often depicted in fan flashes being the most focused with having concupiscent ties and is the only girl in the trio.

* BrokenAce: ''Nene Interactive Suicide'' says of her "even popular girls have problems" right off the bat. Subverted in most appearances, as her popularity is primarily downplayed in favor of whatever problem she's currently dealing with.

* EstablishingCharacterMoment: The short opens with Big Fuzzy Kitten, surrounded by his 14 [[https://newgrounds.fandom.com/wiki/Turd_of_the_Week Turd of the Week]] [[MedalOfDishonor Awards]]... [[Squick getting off to]] [[ShockSite 2girls1cup]].

* HumongousMecha: Once Pico and friends decimate the Kitty Krew {{mooks}}, Big Fuzzy Kitten deploys a serpentine cat {[mecha}} from their headquarters to finish them personally.

* AntiHero: According to Piconjo the user, his character is supposed to be on a good side, as he is the self-proclaimed defender of the portal. However, some of the opponents he fought, his questionable opinion on Newgrounds and its users, and some the actions being very reminiscent of a {{troll}} (such as flooding the portal with submissions of varying quality) made him look more villainous in many people's eyes. It was to the point that ''Newgrounds Rumble'' portrayed him as a full-on villain whose reign as King of the Portal destroyed Newgrounds instead.

* CreepyShadowedUndereyes: Many of his depictions, especially those based off of Mindchamber's design above, give him reddish shadowed undereyes.

* GagPenis: To an extreme degree. Whenever that big-ass sword of his isn't enough, Piconjo's bigger, meatier sword will burst forth and finish the job.

* HatedByAll: In Piconjo's own flashes, almost everyone acts extremely hostile towards him. This includes Ninjers [sic], Toadies and many animators who were popular on Newgrounds back in 2004, all of them usually end up being killed and humiliated by Piconjo. The trope applies to most of his appearances in non-Piconjo-made flashes as well, though with a much less impressive win streak.

* KickTheDog: He quite literally kills a dog in ''Piconjo Jam 21'', only for him to then PetTheDog by reciting a respectful poem to it, as it fought him valiantly. Then it turns out the dog is NotQuiteDead and is saved with medical intervention [[ItMakesJustAsMuchSenseInContext in the form of a lime and coconut.]]

* MultipleChoicePast: Namely regarding his exact relation to Pico. Some works depict him as a douchebag who [[IdenticalStranger happens to look similar to Pico]]. Others portray him as a manifestation of Newgrounds', and in turn Pico's, dark side. And still others will claim he's biologically related to Pico, be it his [[LongLostRelative long lost brother]] or even the alter-ego of Otis, his cousin.
* OnlyFriend: In ''Newgrounds Rumble'', he and [[spoiler: Fancy Pants are each other's only friends. Also serves as an OddFriendship given Piconjo is aiming to cause anarchy in Newgrounds while Fancy Pants just wants to make it out with his life.]]

* PyrrhicVictory: In art created by Piconjo, even if Piconjo (the character) is beaten, his enemies are likely to be forced to suck his GagPenis anyways.

* VaginaDentata: A rare GenderInverted example with his aforementioned GagPenis, which once turned into a dragon, complete with head and mouth.

* AmbiguouslyHuman: According to Convict's creator, Luis, Convict is a criminal who gained the ability to shapeshift after getting struck by lightning. However, given his [[RedEyesTakeWarning red eyes]], the skull on his head, and his shapeshifting abilities, it isn't clear if he's human or something else altogether (at least after gaining said shapeshifting abilities).
