An ancient temple-city and formerly the seat of a glorious empire, Mzali spent much of its later history in decline. However, this changed with the uncovery of the mummyfied remains of an ancient child-king, Walkena. while this helped to revitalizethe city, it also drew the gaze of Cheliax, whose troops attacked the ancient city. Protected by a reawoken Walkena, the city soon found itself ruled by the increasingly harsh undead god-king.
