Simple Staff is not a trope anymore, but a disambiguation page.

* SimpleStaff: He uses a golden staff as a weapon, which also doubles as a big drum stick for his magatama drums on his back. Since blunt attacks have no effect on Luffy, he reforges his staff into a trident to cut Luffy with it.

* ProngsOfPoseidon: While he's far from being a sea god, his thunder powers and status as a "God" are still befitting for this trope, once he reforges his golden staff into a golden trident, as he discovers that Luffy is vulnerable to sharp weapons. He also heats it up with his electricity, since Luffy can still be burned.

10,000 meters above the sea, some people have, against common sense, managed to live on solid clouds (forming the White Sea) and adapted to the oxygen-poor environment. These people, recognizable by the small wings on their back, used to mind their own business in Skypeia. That is, until 400 years ago, half of Jaya, where the Shandians lived, was blown up into the sky, starting a war to defend the homeland for one side, and to exploit the coveted earth (called "vearth") for the others as it is essential for agriculture in the sky. The war actually continued until Eneru and his goons came and usurped the Skypiean throne, only to be shooed away by the Straw Hats.

* BigDamnHeroes: He regularly saves people during the Skypiea arc. First, he saves the Straw Hats from Wyper when they just arrived at the White Sea, and then he gave them a whistle for emergencies. When Conis was about to be judged by Eneru's El Thor, Gan Fall saves her from it brings her to his secure home. Later, when Chopper blows the emergency whistle, Gan Fall flies as quickly as possible to save him and the Going Merry from Shura, although he loses the battle against the priest.

* CoolButInefficient: Pierre has the powers of the Horse Horse Fruit, which enables it to transform into a {{Pegasus}}, but has no benefits since Pierre is already a giant bird able to carry him with ease. In fact, it prevents Pierre from rescuing Gan Fall from the water when Shura knocks him in the lake, and Pierre is similarly incapacitated when Shura knocks him in, too.
* CoolOldGuy: Despite being old, he's a strong fighter who can go head-to-head with Wyper.

* {{Foreshadowing}}: He regularly uses the pronoun "wagahai" in Japanese, cluing the audience early on that he used to be a figure of high authority. Turns out he was the previous "God".
* InconsistentSpelling: His name has been spelled in a number of ways. Fans aren't sure if it's supposed to be Gan Fall, Gun Fall, or Ganfor. For the record, the official English manga uses "Ganfor", but the Funimation dub and subtitles use "Gan Fall". In Germany, it's spelled "Ganford", with the German dub pronouncing the D as a hard D.

* OurAngelsAreDifferent: Their wings are never seen or mentioned to be functional. In fact, the only person who seems to comment at all on their appearance is Sanji, and only with respect to the women. The fact that the Shandorians seem to have had wings even before they were, ahem, relocated just makes it more peculiar.

* BraidsBeadsAndBuckskins: They clearly have a Native-American inspiration. They live in tents just like those of the natives and their clothes and hairstyle mostly follows those of a stereotypical Native-American with a modern touch. Their conflict with the Skypieans over what was originally their land resembles the conflict with Native Americans and European settlers.

Man Of Kryptonite is about Luffy, not Eneru. Screw This Im Outta Here is a misuse, Eneru actually wanted to go to the moon, he didn't retreat out of cowardice

* LackOfEmpathy: Eneru cares only about himself; everyone else is no different from a common rock as far as he's concerned.
* LeanAndMean: He's quite tall, and while his body is muscular, it's also overall rather wiry compared to some other men in the series.

* MagicalDefibrillator: He IS one. When [[TouchOfDeath a well-placed chest shot from Wiper's Reject Dial]] stops his heart, he automatically uses his own Logia powers to restart it.

* RuleOfSymbolism: Everything about him, pretty much. His earlobes are stretched like Hindu deities, his blond hair is a sign of divinity in ancient South American civilizations, his ring of drums resembles those worn by Japanese thunder deities, and most of his attack names reference thunder deities in general.

His Eneru's design gathers many elements from multiple deities: his earlobes are stretched like Hindu deities, his blond hair is a sign of divinity in ancient South American civilizations, his ring of drums resembles those worn by Japanese thunder deities, and most of his attack names reference thunder deities in general.

* ScrewThisImOuttaHere: After being defeated by Luffy and waking up from unconsciousness. He decides to leave Skypiea with his tail between his legs on his damaged and barely flying Maxim, figuring it's not worth all the hassle to destroy the islands or retrieve the gold bell anymore. Though one gets the feeling he's fleeing because he's ''piss scared'' of Luffy and just making excuses for his cowardice.
* SelfFulfillingProphecy: He makes a prediction about how many people will make it through his "survival game", and when his count is going to be off, Eneru considers it a valid solution to blast people down until the numbers match.

* ShockAndAwe: The Rumble-Rumble Fruit is rather good makes Eneru an electric man, allowing him to create powerful thunderbolts from miles away, travel at [[{{Pun}} doing both]].(literally) lightning speed and, combined with his mantra, read the minds of people even far away from him.
