* TheWoobie: He has lost his mother, he and his father were forced to leave their native Syria due to hostilities, they travelled to England on a raft with other refugees, he and his father are forced to separate upon arriving on English shores, he has to spend the night sleeping rough on the back of a pickup truck, he ends up in a strange town with strange people (Coventry), he is rejected by all potential adoptive families (mainly because of Jerry's ManChild antics), excluded from the ''Rock Opera'' by Mr. Cavendish and overhears Barnaby's parents saying he can't stay with them, is it any wonder he gets so upset as to run away to Shropshire ([[spoiler: because he's been led to believe that's where his father is]])?

* BreakTheCutie: After all he's been through already, overhearing Barnaby's parents saying he can't stay with them upsets him so much that he runs away

* TheQuietOne: Until he meets Jerry and Barnaby which is understandable, given what he goes through beforehand.

A social worker who helps move Doru to Coventry.

* BlatantLies: He claims he's trying to save the ''Rock Opera'' ... by taking parts away from children!

* TheDeterminator: He becomes this over the course of the movie, given the obstacles he, Mr. Poppy and their students encounter on their trip to Wales.

* TheReasonYouSuck: He finally stands up to his father and brother in the climax and even to Angel Matthews since he's so riled.

* BlatantLies: He claims he's trying to save the City Nativity Play...by taking parts away from children!

* ItsAllAboutMe: By far the worst example in the franchise. He dismisses everyone in Coventry as not being up to the standards he expects from people wishing to take part in a City Nativity Play and resolves to just do the whole show himself.

* KickTheDog: He threatens to kill Dodger the dog if he doesn't get a part in the City Nativity Play.

* TheReasonYouSuck: He gradually adopts this general attitude towards to everyone in Coventry and the City itself.
* TheUnfavorite: He initially accepts the St. Bernadette's students in the city Nativity Play but excludes Doru.

* AffectionateNickname: Jerry Poppy has several of these for him, such as 'Barnacle' and 'Bumblebee'.

* TheWoobie: Both her and Lauren when Jeremy attempts to leave her after letting his own memory-loss and Bradley Finch's scheming get the better of him.

* HeroesLoveDogs: In Jennifer's absence, his only friend is his pet dog Cracker until she is unintentionally KilledOffscreen by Mr Poppy.

* TheDeterminator: Purely for the sake of beating St. Bernadette's...and everybody else.

* EvenEvilHasStandards: He willingly leaves a student of his (called Eleanor) behind in the middle of nowhere and doesn't bother looking for her but he draws the line when he realises his own (former) hero willingly abducted a baby and locked a bunch of children, including Eleanor, inside a snow globe.

A privileged but lonely boy who attends Oakmoor.

* AscendedExtra: Eleanor after she is left behind in the first sequel.

* CharacterDevelopment: Usually for the purpose of supporting the St. Bernadette's students and whoever is teaching them.

* CreatorsPet: It's obvious from the moment Roderick Peterson and the St. Cuthbert's choir arrive for the ''A Song for Christmas'' competition that she thinks it's a ForegoneConclusion they're going to win. She even gives Roderick suggestions on how to improve his act while they're watching the other entries together.

A former Performing Arts student who is a teacher at St. Bernadette's.

* IdiotBall: Granted he hadn't really got to know Mr. Poppy (but well enough to know he was a ManChild) but he really should have found somewhere private for him to tell his lie about Hollywood to Mr. Shakespeare, certainly somewhere where it would have been harder for Mr. Poppy to eavesdrop.

* TheReasonYouSuck: Has constantly subjected Donald to this, it comes back to bite him eventually.

* BrutalHonesty: Mr. Poppy asks her if she thinks he's ugly and she does, the St. Bernadette's students decide to help her anyway.

* TheMillstone: His memory-loss makes him this to Lauren, Mr. Poppy and later to Sophie.

* TheWoobie: She gradually descends into this as the strain of trying to refresh her father's memory in time for his and Sophie's wedding takes its toll.

* TheUnfavourite: To Lauren, she really doesn't like him or want him as a stepfather.

* Hypocrite: He calls out Donald for patronising Roderick when both have bullied and belittled Donald all his life.

* LikeFatherLikeSon: When it comes to being a Jerkass.
* Jerkass: Even more so than Gordon Shakespeare, though this is partly due to how his father raised him.

* WouldHurtAChild: Such is the combination of him being both TheDeterminator and a Jerkass that he abducts a baby and locks a bunch of school children inside a giant snow-globe.

* BrotherChuck: He isn't even mentioned in ''Nativity Rocks!'' but his replacement is no less of a pompous JerkAss.

* GrumpyBear: He's always moody and complaining unless he's praising Roderick.
