!!The Kosugi household

[[folder:Takuma Kosugi]]
!!Takuma Kosugi
The main human character. A lonely salaryman who ends up asking his robotic cook to become his wife, and gets exactly what he asked for.

* LethalChef: Takuma's attempt at cooking omelettes is so disastrous that Mina ends up physically (and painfully) dragging him away from the oven. Later, when Mina is away from home and remotely instructing Takuma on cooking, she insists on not looking or listening, presumably because it would be ''that'' painful for her to watch him cook.
* {{Robosexual}}: Given his relationship with Mina. He takes her as his common-law wife, and is clearly attracted to her much like to a flesh-and-blood woman, for example taking the opportunity to sniff her hair.
* SecretSecretKeeper: A recurring pattern is for him to be seemingly fooled by Mina or someone else, only to reveal, in his thoughts, that he knew all along:
** He is apparently fooled when a [[MakesJustAsMuchSenseInContext tentacled alien from Mars]], pretending to be Mina, slips into his house. However, the end of that chapter hints that he knows perfectly well what the alien is, and even starts regularly leaving out treats for her.
** When Mina and Mamoru detect a ghost in their new house and refuse to tell him, he pretends to be ignorant, but thinks to himself that he wishes they'd just tell him about the ghost.
** When Mina leaves the house briefly and leaves another robot (Satsuki) to pretend to be her, Takuma realizes this instantly but doesn't say anything, perhaps figuring that Mina must have good reason.

[[folder:Mina Kosugi]]
!!Mina Kosugi
The titular character. A household robot who is a fairly cheap, old model by the standard of the setting, but can behave surprisingly humanlike at times.

* CallAHumanAMeatbag: [[DownplayedTrope Downplayed]]; Mina isn't directly contemptuous of humans, but she's somewhat annoyed by their biological limitations. She believes it's inefficient how humans need to ingest nutrients through their mouth, instead of simply charging a battery. Also, when asked if she is worried if Takuma will leave her for a human woman, she responds that the woman would not have her awesome specs and would need to ingest food, with the implication that this makes Mina a superior partner.
* CharacterTic: Whenever she feels proud of herself, she tends to tilt her head upwards, acting as smug as her unmoving face will allow her to. Sometimes, she herself seems unaware of doing it.
* [[DoesNotKnowHisOwnStrength Does Not Know Her Own Strength]]: Mina's early attempts at skinship with Takuma are rather painful, due to her accidentally gripping him too hard. At one point, she tries to hug Takuma and ends up squeezing him against a wall. As for kissing, her first attempts are basically "slamming Takuma with her faceplate at full force", and it takes a while for her to figure out the best approach.
* EasilyDetachableRobotParts: Mina's limbs can be detached and reattached easily, which she exploits to "surprise" Takuma on his birthday (i.e. prank him by disassembling herself and pretending to have been destroyed). She cannot assemble herself on her own, though.
* ExpospeakGag: Occasionally slips into this mode of speaking, often due to her gaps in the understanding of human concepts. For example, when talking about kissing: "So having your mucous membranes touch shows that you feel a level of intimacy towards the other party, correct?"
* GreenEyedMonster: As her emotions develop due to her relationship with Takuma, she briefly becomes jealous of a ''microwave'' (which Takuma praises for its ability to heat up a towel). She quickly demonstrates that she's capable of heating up a towel too, and when Takuma subsequently praises her, she is clearly ''very'' satisfied.
* NotSoStoic: The most intense display of emotions on her part comes in chapter 35: After she has pointlessly endangered herself just to show off, Takuma gets genuinely mad at her. She responds by lowering her head, very clearly downcast, and hunching down in depression.
* NoWaterproofingInTheFuture: Generally averted -- she is waterproof enough that she can bathe with Takuma. This is only as long as she's not using the upgrade that makes her taller, since it involves opening up gaps in her outer shell. In a later chapter, water does seep into her systems due to previously unnoticed damage, breaking her speaker.
* {{Pride}}: Her greatest flaw. For all her supposed lack of emotion, she loves to be praised and to brag about her specs. This eventually comes back to bite her, after she pointlessly endangers herself and others just to show off -- fighting an unstable robot head-on, instead of asking a human to intervene; Takuma calls her out on it, which makes her depressed.
* RobotMaid: She can do housework, but being [[SingleTaskRobot a model made for cooking]], she only does cooking-related tasks. There's a "domestic plugin" available that would improve her ability with domestic tasks and turn off the perpetually looping advert for the plugin, which otherwise plays when she tries a non-cooking related task.
* SingleTaskRobot: A downplayed example. She's perfectly capable of doing things besides cooking, but when it comes to housework, she is supposed to only cook; if she tries doing any other tasks, an obnoxious ad starts playing throughout.
* TheSpock: She is exasperated by the human tendency to act on emotions. At one point, when hearing about a movie about robots taking over the world, she fondly comments it would be "a logical and wonderful world".
* TheStoic: Mina usually remains collected and deadpan regardless of the situation. Additionally, her faceplate is immobile and frozen in a neutral expression (although she is capable of emoting to some degree, mostly with her eyes). That said, throughout the manga she occasionally shows signs of all-too-human behavior. Most notable is her acting smug whenever she's praised, tilting her head back and narrowing her eyes.
* TerribleArtist: At one point, she tries to teach Mamoru how to spell Takuma's name, by drawing Takuma's face with his name underneath. The drawings are... caricatural at best, and Mamoru mistakes them for a tanuki, a snake, and a watermelon.
* TinMan: She insists that as a robot she is purely logical, unlike those silly emotional humans, but she sure shows all-too-human behavior throughout the story: seeking to be praised for her specs at every opportunity (and acting smug afterwards), getting jealous whenever some other machine seems to one-up her, trying to act cool after being caught in an embarrassing mistake, being self-conscious about Takuma seeing her internals...
* WhatIsThisFeeling: In Chapter 2, she notes that she genuinely enjoys having a picnic with Takuma. She finds this confusing, as she usually would not find any enjoyment in doing something that inefficient.

[[folder:Mamoru]]
!!Mamoru
A tiny egg-shaped robot, originally designed as a medical robot to care for the elderly. While away from home for a factory upgrade, Mina purchases such a robot for purposes of remotely communicating with Takuma. However, the robot seems to gain its own personality, and eventually gets "adopted" by Takuma and Mina as their "child".

* CannotTellFictionFromReality: When he is read a storybook about Momotaro fighting evil onis, he decides this is a dangerous situation and tries to call an ambulance. When Takuma explains it's just a made-up story, he gets confused, because "making things up is bad".
* HowDoIShotWeb: Due to his factory personality getting overwritten, he is initially confused by his temperature measurement capabilities, and needs to be taught by Mina how to take Takuma's temperature and how to interpret it.

!!Other characters

[[folder:Akari Kosugi]]
!!Akari Kosugi
Takuma's sister, who is highly supportive of his relationship with Mina... for her own reasons.

* BigBrotherAttraction: [[ImpliedTrope Implied]]. Her camera's memory card is full of photos of Takuma, and she gets very red in the face when asked about this...
* {{Fetish}}: She apparently has a thing for "unconventional romances" in general -- to the point where she's dating another girl mostly for the thrill of how unusual it is. In particular, she greatly enjoys the concept of InterspeciesRomance, which of course means that she's enthusiastic about Takuma and Mina's relationship.
[[/folder]]

[[folder:Super Mina]]
!!Super Mina
An advanced Mina model belonging to Rihito, a son of a rich family. Becomes Mina's friend after an encounter at the beach.

* RidiculouslyHumanRobot: Compared to Mina, she is a lot more expressive, and is essentially indistinguishable from a human, save for her glowing eyes.
[[/folder]]

[[folder:Erisu]]
!!Erisu
A member of a high-school "anti-robot club".
* AIIsACrapshoot: [[spoiler:She was accidentally programmed with a number of human biases, including prejudice towards robots, which ended up ballooning out of control -- to the point where she physically tries to destroy Mina, and presumably would try to do the same to other robots as well.]]
* BoomerangBigot: [[spoiler:She harbors an obsessive hatred for robots. She also is one, which she keeps a secret from her school friends.]]
[[/folder]]

[[folder:Iida and Senju]]
!!Iida and Senju
Iida is an employee from Mina's developer company. She initially appears in Chapter 12, arriving to take Mina away for an upgrade. She is assisted in her work by a robot named Senju, which is a special model for internal company use.
* PerpetualSmiler: Senju's faceplate is permanently molded into a small smile.
