* GameBreaker: Her fan lift/pummeling kombo in [=MK2=], a nigh-indefensible move so widely abused that it was nerfed by a software update that made it difficult to korner an opponent. Some players found a workaround anyway.

* SecretCharacter: In [=MK2=], he required you be at the Portal. Whenever you upperkut, sometimes sound designer Dan Forden appears in the korner saying "Toasty!". If you're on the portal, hit Down and Start at the same time.

* DropTheHammer: He LOVES this trope, it was his most feared special in [=MK3=] and later became his weapon style in the Gamekube version of Deception. Raiden had one too for [=MK4=], before it got put on the top of the Lightning tower (His favoured weapon's a Staff, which he uses in Deadly Alliance onward even though he supposedly gave it to Kai, kanonically.)

* HammerSpace: Literally in his kase. Look klosely at the sprites for his hammer attack in [=MK3=] and it appears to materialize out of thin air.

* LawfulEvil: Havik, however, identifies him as ChaoticEvil (and as Cleric of Khaos, he would know).

* SNKBoss: Shao Kahn in ''[=MK3=]'' and its updates (''Trilogy'' included). While his moveset is exactly the same as in ''[=MK2=]'' (even his sprites kame unchanged!), he is way more [[AxCrazy Hammer Krazy]] than in his previous appearance.
