!!'''Billy Thatcher'''
[[quoteright:152:http://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/rsz_1billy_7041.png]]
[[caption-width-right:152:I'M MORE IMPORTANT.]]
O. William “Billy” Thatcher is an American Chess International Grandmaster, successful writer and the star of his own A&E TV show [[ShowWithinAShow "Pawnography"]]. He is best known for his erratic and violent behavior on and off camera.

* AintTooProudToBeg: When recognized as a celebrity by Amical he starts offering anything he can to avoid the fight against Tyler.
* BadassBookworm: Visually Billy is the geekiest looking member of the team, even if he is prettied up for his television show. This does not stop him from having the most powerful mage abilities.
* BrainyBrunette: Male example.
* BrutalHonesty: One of Billy's "charming" characteristics. He pulls no punches.
* CharacterBlog: [[http://askbillythatcher.tumblr.com/ Found here.]]
* TheChessMaster: Both literally and figuratively. Though in tactics he tends to play more [[XanatosSpeedChess speed chess]].
%%* CursedWithAwesome
* DefiantCaptive: He isn't afraid to chew Amical out, and negotiates with him for concessions and privileges.
* DrinkOrder: Ginger ale and fountains of it.
* EstablishingCharacterMoment: While in boxes and before his portrait even shows up for the first time, Billy is angrily shouting his name and berating Asia for her lack of sense in the situation.
* {{Fingore}}: Fresh out of the crate he has marks running along the base of his fingers. In the animated dream sequence we see (and hear) him [[http://morphe.thewebcomic.com/comics/1790280/chapter-2-page-19-sweet-dreams/ starring at his bleeding, fingerless hands]]
* FlippingTheTable: Billy has chosen this method of resigning on more than a few occasions.
%%* GoodIsNotNice
* HollywoodNerd: He comes across as a PrettyBoy, though one with an [[http://askbillythatcher.tumblr.com/post/88542883888/francis-well-you-didnt-say-who-it-had-to-be underwhelming]] {{Geek Physique|s}}.
* HotBlooded: He can match Adrestia for temper, and has less restraint.
* InsufferableGenius: WordOfGod confirms that he's the smartest and most quick-witted character. He's good enough at chess to [[spoiler:beat Amical, despite Amical rewriting his own history to make himself a chess master and repeatedly cheating during the game]].
* IntelligenceEqualsIsolation: Self-imposed. Billy cannot abide by how dumb other people can be, and has an admitted tendency to burn his bridges.
* ItsAllAboutMe: He straight-up tells the others that he has more to lose than they.
* JerkWithAHeartOfGold: Contrast his treatment of Tyler and Curio or how he has been treating Asia during the bet in Chapter 3. He is impatient and insulting but caring enough to administer advice and help to the others no matter how bluntly it is presented.
* KickTheDog: Literally punts a [[RidiculouslyCuteCritter fluffy puppy]] against the wall as part of a test. It's a [[EmotionEater Shadow spirit]] in animal form, but his willingness to do it appalls the other seedlings.
* TheLeader: Starts off as a Type II.
* PetTheDog: [[spoiler:Saves Curio's life from a frightened Amical by distracting him.]]
* SharpDressedMan: Billy wears suits and his trademark argyle. Never try to convince him that it isn't cool.
* SmartPeoplePlayChess: And ''really'' smart people make it into a career.

!!'''Tyler Dawn'''
[[quoteright:112:http://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/rsz_tyler_9263.png]]
[[caption-width-right:112:Roll a Crit. Kill them all.]]
Tyler Dawn is a mixed-up young man with an affinity for escapism. He grew up in a small rural town in Ohio and moved on to study in New York. Through a love of fantasy novels and boredom with the mundane he finds himself diving in to the awakened world with more zeal than the other captives.

%%* AmnesiacDissonance
%%* BeCarefulWhatYouWishFor
* ButtMonkey: ''God damn it, Tyler...''
* CharacterBlog: [[http://asktylerdawn.tumblr.com/ Found here]]. Tyler's is taken care of by the only non-artist in the morphE crew so he voice acts and animates it using the comic's sprites.
* CodeName: Cypher Dawn. Named after one of his novel characters.
* DullEyesOfUnhappiness: His default expression.
%%* FieryRedhead
* ForgetfulJones: He states early in the second chapter that he has had very poor memory retention since he was a child and his sister made him keep a journal to combat it.
* FunTShirt: An orange Courage Wolf T-Shirt with the text "Roll A Critical. Kill Them All". In an Ask Blog entry he states that it was a gift from his college D&D GM... [[ForgetfulJones whatever his name was.]]
* GenreSavvy: Arguably Tyler's main strength.
* InnocentlyInsensitive: [[http://morphe.thewebcomic.com/comics/1809735/chapter-2-page-31-grabby-hands/ He pokes Curio's trauma a little unintentionally.]] Billy is not pleased. Tyler is oblivious.
* TheMovieBuff: Considering he called the collars "Battle Royale" collars and asked if they were going to do a [[Film/HarryPotterandthePrisonerofAzkaban musical montage against the cupboard spirit.]]
* PopCulturedBadass: To the point where his pop culture knowledge is the fuel for his magic ability. When he was learning to cast he had to use fiction as a reference point for the impossible feats he was accomplishing.
* RedheadsAreUncool: Tyler is a red haired nerd and very unpopular with his fellow seedlings.
%%* SignificantGreenEyedRedhead

----

!!'''Asia Ellis'''
[[quoteright:118:http://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/rsz_asia_1546.png]]
[[caption-width-right:118:Understood]]
Asia is an analytical and quiet person. Her knack for observation made her an excellent apprentice for reporter and legal guardian Ken Ellis. She tends to take everything at face value and has a hard time relating to people, though she tries her best to understand.

* ArbitrarySkepticism: Being an analytical reporter, Asia is incredulous when confronted with magical concepts.
* AgentScully: Asia rejects the idea of magic pretty sternly in the first two chapters.
* AmateurSleuth: Her adoptive father, an investigative reporter, brought her along to crime scenes.
* ApologeticAttacker: When forced to fight.
%%* ApologisesALot
* BackstoryHorror: Details of Asia's Childhood are only discussed and eluded to in the comic. You need to read her [[http://asia-ellis-understoods.tumblr.com/ Tumblr Ask Blog]] to actually witness the context.
* BadLiar: LiteralMinded and without a deceptive bone in her body.
* BrutalHonesty: In contrast with Billy. Billy is unafraid to hurt people with the truth, especially when they deserve his ire. Asia is oblivious to the concept that the truth can be harmful at all. Billy's honesty is typically played for drama. Asia's for laughs.
* {{Catchphrase}}: "Understood".
* CharacterBlog: [[http://asia-ellis-understoods.tumblr.com/ Found here]]. Contains a few references to backstory and supporting cast that have not been introduced yet.
* TheComicallySerious: Especially when reviewing My Little Pony.
* TheConscience: Her role in the group appears to be this. When Billy broke the rules in order for them to win a bet and get a phone call to their family, Asia was the only one who protested that doing so was wrong. However she was forced to agree that the action was necessary after Billy told her to either forgo her call to prove her moral standing or accept she is wrong and get to call her guardian.
* DarkAndTroubledPast: Hinted at often. [[http://asia-ellis-understoods.tumblr.com/post/46632393343/full-view-here Our biggest clue is this Ask Asia entry.]]
* FriendlessBackground: Ken is the only figure from her past that she's shown to care about.
* HomeschooledKids: After whatever trauma she was put through as a small child, public school did not work out for her.
* KeepingSecretsSucks: Asia's reaction to being forced to cheat in Chapter 3's magic test. She is an honest soul and had to trade going along with a lie for getting to speak with Ken. [[spoiler:She is also very displeased by having to keep Hizrim's presence a secret.]]
* LastNameBasis: She is very particular about honorifics.
* [[OnlyKnownByTheirNickname Only Known By Her Adopted Name]] Asia decided not to give herself a code name because Asia Ellis is not her birth name.
%%* MindOverManners
* MysteriousPast: Alluded to heavily in her [[http://asia-ellis-understoods.tumblr.com Character Ask Blog]]. So far in comic we know she has an adoptive guardian and that "Asia" is not her birthname.
* NoSenseOfHumor: She has a tendency of thinking jokes are stupid or needing them to be explained.
* TheQuietOne: Much prefers to observe and take stock of situations.
* TheSpock: {{Literal|Minded}}, [[TheStoic emotionally subdued]], [[NoSocialSkills socially inept]], and honest to a fault.
* TheStoic: Except when she's [[NotSoStoic allowed to talk to Ken]].

----

!!'''Curio'''
Curio is a lurker. Be it on message boards or IRL, he keeps out of sight and watches. He is a big fan of Billy Thatcher and his television show. He is a fairly typical kid, now living a not so typical life.
[[quoteright:98:http://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/rsz_curio_5691.png]]
[[caption-width-right:98:Eh... what?]]

%%* {{Adorkable}}
* CastingAShadow: Curio's first use of Moros magic in [[http://morphe.thewebcomic.com/comics/1719776/page-47-spreading-darkness/ this strip.]]
* ConstantlyCurious: That word didn’t get on his head without a reason.
* DarkIsNotEvil: Though he is a Moros mage he is more likely to hide in shadows than perform necromancy.
* FanBoy: He is a gigantic Billy Thatcher fanboy and meeting his hero seems to be the only thing holding him together through this ordeal.
* ForcedToWatch: During the dream sequence we see him hanging on a chain and watching someone get their throat cut open.
* FunTShirt: </Sarcasm>
* NervousWreck: He breaks easily under pressure and has on more than one occasion faked his death to escape an unwelcome conversation.
* OnlyKnownByTheirNickname: Curio and Adrestia do not have their civilian names stated.
* TheQuietOne: The quiet''est'' one.
* TroublingUnchildlikeBehavior: Although it's not his fault, being forced to cut a woman's throat and Awakening as a Necromancer can't be good for a fifteen-year-old's psyche.
* ShrinkingViolet: Always, but on one memorable occasion he temporarily ''dropped dead'' under pressure.

----

!!'''Adrestia'''
[[quoteright:159:http://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/rsz_adrestia_580.png]]
[[caption-width-right:159:Adrestia was the Greek goddess of revenge.]]
A streetwise girl from the streets of Chicago. She awoke as a Thyrsus mage.

* ActionGirl: After her crate is opened, she immediately attempts to take on the guards. It doesn’t go so well.
* BerserkButton: When she claimed not to have an exploitable weakness, Malloy mentioned some kids she was looking after and she was riled into a fury.
* BookDumb: In contrast to Asia's book smarts and social ignorance.
* BoyishShortHair: A pixie cut.
* BreakoutCharacter: During the first chapter she was quickly latched on to by the audience leading to her getting a larger focus.
* BrooklynRage: With street smarts and temper in spades.
* TheBrute: The only one of the initial captives who had seen combat prior to being kidnapped.
* CameBackStrong: When she revived in her fight with Curio she was an awakened Thyrsus Mage.
* CombatMedic: Physically she is the strongest of the Seedlings. She is also the healer of the party.
* DeathActivatedSuperpower: She awakens as a Thyrsus after Curio slits her throat.
* EstablishingCharacterMoment: The first chapter sees her try to (unsuccessfully) attack Malloy and Amical 3 times and decide to let Curio kill her rather than fight him herself. This certainly helped establish her EnsembleDarkhorse status.
* JerkWithAHeartOfGold: Despite her attitude, she deeply cares for the children she works with, and shows protective impulses towards the other seedlings as well.
* TheLadette: She's the most rough-and-tumble one of the seedlings by a fair margin.
%%* LadySwearsALot
* OnlyKnownByTheirNickname: Her real name is unknown; she chose to use a [[MeaningfulName goddess of revenge]] as a Shadow Name.
%%* SatisfiedStreetRat
* ShapeshifterWeapon: A grizzly bear arm, to be precise.
* StreetSmart: Though she's the first to admit that she's BookDumb, she has a surprising range of talents, including [[spoiler:[[CombatMedic field surgery]]]].
* WouldntHurtAChild: It speaks volumes that she would rather die than lay a finger on Curio during their fight.

[[folder:Amical's Manor]]
!!'''Amical'''
[[quoteright:189:http://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/amical_8664.png]]
[[caption-width-right:198:Good morning, Seedlings!]]
Amical is a high powered Acanthus mage who owns a large manor and is known to throw extravagant parties. He is introduced as the host of the arena event where the Seedlings were first pit against one another in a battle to the death. He wields a flintlock pistol with stunning accuracy and the ability to fire multiple shots in rapid succession. He is exceptionally charismatic and makes no small effort to try and befriend the Seedlings and earn their trust and favor.

* AffablyEvil: To the spectators, at least, and he is happy to pamper the seedlings who survived his ordeals.
* AgentPeacock: He's emotive, vain, flouncy, a lover of sweets, and some of his clothes wouldn't look out of place in Versailles. He's also a dead eye with his pistol, runs a staff that would be a QuirkyMinibossSquad in their own right, and administers his Seedlings ruthlessly. It's implied that he's a master of at least one Arcanum, and his CharacterBlog reveals that he's trained in Forces, despite it being the hardest Arcanum for an Acanthus to learn.
* AnythingThatMoves: WordOfGod is that he's into anyone and everything. Except [[WhyDidItHaveToBeSnakes revenants]]. No hugs for revenants.
* BadassAdorable: Do not be fooled by the golden curls, it invites only defeat and disappointment.
* BeautyMark: Under his left eye.
* BerserkButton: If you damage his paintings he will get ''very'' angry.
%%* BlondGuysAreEvil
* BlueAndOrangeMorality: As with most mages who have forgotten the nuances of the sleeping world. Amical is an interesting example because he sincerely believes that he is doing good and is offended when the Seedlings accuse him of evil.
%%* TheCharmer
* ComedicSociopathy: His hissy fits would be hilariously pathetic if they didn't include [[spoiler:hexes and headshots.]]
* CosmicRetcon: A perk of Time magic, and a useful tool for a TriggerHappy sociopath with poor impulse control.
* EasilyForgiven: Remember when Tyler said he would murder Amical in chapter 1? Seems Tyler is his biggest supporter now.
* EvilMentor: Though this is more due to his BlueAndOrangeMorality than having malevolent designs.
* FriendlyEnemy: Not that he sees himself as the seedlings' enemy.
%%* GratuitousFrench
* TheGunslinger: With a heavily enchanted pistol.
* HandsomeLech: Amical flirts with all seedlings of age. Despite his flirtatious attitude and charming demeanor he appears to be single.
* TheHedonist: Amical is quite childish, needy and desperate to earn the love of everyone and gets upset if they cite reasons for disliking him such as his perchant for kidnapping or murder.
* ImprobableAimingSkills: Thanks to magic.
* ItsAllAboutMe: He expects the seedlings to be grateful for being kidnapped into his tutelage.
* LargeHam: With flamboyant clothes, over-the-top mannerisms, and cutesy turns of phrase.
* LoveHungry: He needs everyone to love him. He will not allow anyone to think poorly of him for any reason at all, including kidnap and murder.
* ManChild: Consider how quickly he resorts to tears to get his way.
* SinkOrSwimMentor: There are hints that he is pressed for time in training the seedlings.
* SpotOfTea: Amical is quick to offer a cup of cherry tea in any situation.
* TimeMaster: As an Acanthus, he's naturally skilled with Time magic, [[spoiler:which he uses to CosmicRetcon his way out of killing Billy in a rage]].
* VillainWithGoodPublicity: A given for Amical to operate the way that he does in the [[NewWorldOfDarkness Mage: The Awakening]] canon and canonical membership in the politically-minded Silver ladder.
* [[WhyDidItHaveToBeSnakes Why Did It Have To Be Death Arcana?]]: Amical gets ''extremely'' nervous around [[{{Necromancy}} Death spells]] and things related, to the point where he attempts to downplay its existence to Curio (a ''Necromancer''), and instinctively draws his gun when Curio uses it to rot a training dummy.

----

!!'''Malloy'''
Malloy is the head of Amical's "guard". A Mastigos mage by trade. A large man with tired and weary features. He has seen his fair share of Seedling in and out of the manor and has a thick skin about the entire affair, normally taking time to talk to the captives and explain to them how their predicament could be a lot worse.
[[quoteright:199:http://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/malloy_small_2150.png]]
[[caption-width-right:199:Just shut up and do it.]]

* BeingPersonalIsntProfessional: Though he bends this rule for Asia.
* BigBrotherIsWatching: Malloy has been shown to rifle through the Seedling's pasts while speaking to them and remind them that he knows all about their lives and loved ones.
* BigGuyLittleGuy: He plays the big to Rick's small.
* CoDragons[=/=]ThoseTwoGuys: With Rick.
* CoolOldGuy: Possibly the oldest, and a very skilled mage.
* EmotionControl: A spell that he uses on Adrestia when she is getting too angry to contain.
* EvilWearsBlack: Wherever he fits on the morality spectrum, he only ever wears black dress shirts and trousers.
* GentleGiant: He is the only one who takes pity on Asia's inability to cast.
* HugeGuyTinyGirl: He takes a role of protecting Asia because they follow the same mage path and Asia collects fatherly figures. His sprite is also so large that no one could possibly be taller than him without their head breaking the top of the frame.
* LieToTheBeholder: He uses Mind magic to make observers see himself and Asia as other people.
* NumberTwo: Rick outright calls him Amical's "Golden Boy" during a brief banter session in the opening chapter.
* ParentalSubstitute: He has become this for Asia. [[http://asia-ellis-understoods.tumblr.com/post/80428559185/fun-fact-asia-collects-father-figures Confirmed in Asia's ask blog.]]
* PunchClockVillain: He comes across more as a BeleagueredAssistant to Amical than a true villain, even when he's disposing of the bodies.
* {{Telepathy}}: Natural for a Mastigos.
* TeleportersAndTransporters: Space magic lets him fill this role on the team. Going by ''TabletopGame/MageTheAwakening'' rules, he's ''very'' good at it; teleporting a group requires mastery of the Space Arcanum and is increasingly difficult the more people are being moved.

----

!!'''Rick'''
A Thyrsus mage under Amical's employ, he has less patience than Malloy and is far less ready to speak with the Seedlings. He and Malloy are close friends and often trade jabs and insults.

* [[BaldOfEvil Bald of Ambiguously Evil]]: He's more unpleasant than Malloy, at least.
* BigGuyLittleGuy: The little half.
* CoDragons[=/=]ThoseTwoGuys: With Malloy.
* EvilWearsBlack: Wherever he fits on the morality spectrum, he only ever wears black dress shirts and trousers.
* HatesSmallTalk: Compare Rick waking the boys to Flux waking the girls each morning. Rick shuts down any attempt to talk with a simple "you're not the first group, you won't be the last, I don't bother remembering your faces anymore."
* PunchClockVillain: Comes across as a bit unpleasant, but he's mostly just there to do his job.
* TattooedCrook: A large Thyrsus symbol over his eye.

----

!!'''Flux'''
A female mage under Amical's employ. Said to be very established with Matter magic. She often rambles in conversation and obviously finds socializing with the prisoners to be socially awkward.

* BerserkButton: Thinking she's being mocked.
--> '''Flux:''' I'm going to turn those beers you love into... ''[[CutHisHeartOutWithASpoon cow shit!]]''
* CrouchingMoronHiddenBadass: She is by far the least threatening of Amical's crew, but beneath her bubbly apologetic exterior is a powerful Obrimos mage. A five-on-one training match against her was supposed to be unfair... to the other five.
* MotorMouth: Expect any Flux comic to have endless panels of her talking, clarifying, correcting and apologizing... endlessly.
* NervousWreck: [[http://morphe.thewebcomic.com/comics/1801592/chapter-2-page-21-a-ray-of-sunshine/ Two successive comics were devoted]] to [[http://morphe.thewebcomic.com/comics/1802258/chapter-2-page-22-open-mouth/ her "foot in mouth" syndrome.]]
* PunchClockVillain: Her duties seem mostly to involve managing the manor and its defenses.

----

!!'''Spectacle'''
A personable non-mage who has managed the manor grounds since before Amical took over the estate. He has had only one appearance so far, at the end of Chapter 3.
* DeadpanSnarker: "Avenge the flowers."
* DoesNotLikeShoes: He goes barefoot in his fancy suit.
* MustHaveNicotine: Lights up in the parlour without realizing what he was doing.
* OnlyKnownByTheirNickname: Almost certainly.
* SharpDressedMan: He wears a loud three-piece suit with a bow tie, despite being a gardener.
* UnfazedEveryman: He speaks quite casually about some of the horrible things going on in the [[TabletopGame/NewWorldOfDarkness World of Darkness]] while explaining how Amical is a good boss by comparison. Also...
--> '''Tyler:''' Does (Amical) give these [[ExplosiveLeash collars]] to his guests?
--> '''Spectacle:''' ''*{{Beat}}*'' ...[[CasualKink I assumed it was a sex game]].
[[/folder]]

[[folder:Others]]
!!'''Independent/The Knife Wielding Woman'''
[[quoteright:190:http://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/independent_3292.jpg]]
[[caption-width-right:190:Let's go get 'em Hangy!]]
A woman with iridescent hair who is somehow connected to the seedlings back-story. She has appeared only in the prologue and dream sequences so far. The word INDEPENDENT is carved into her forehead. Voiced by [=ChibiSilverWings=].

* BloodIsTheNewBlack: All art of her to date is coated in blood, both clothes and skin.
* HiddenEyes: How she is always displayed.
* KnifeNut: Her basic sprite features a knife. So far Asia's notebook, Asia's phone, Amical's gun and Amical's teacup are the only items that have been displayed on the sprite. Whether this is fanon or canon it is clear that having a knife attached to her sprite is significant.
* LaughingMad: Her [[http://morphe.thewebcomic.com/comics/1677596/page-4-getem/ giggling]] is the first human voice in the comic.
* NoNameGiven: There is no official name for her yet. Comments call her anything from "Creepy Jailer", "Alecto", "The Laughing Lady". Independent is the closest to a canon name we have, given that Adrestia and Curio were referred to as Vengeful and Curious before they were named.
* TheNicknamer: Calls Tyler "Hangy" in the prologue.
* TheOphelia: Obviously she is quite mad and is described as giggling and skipping away during the second dream sequence.
* SignatureLaugh: The laughing sound effect for Independent.
* SlasherSmile: Both her sprite and animated self wear one.
* YouGottaHaveBlueHair: Styled into PeekABangs.

----

!!'''Hizrim'''
A strange entity that began talking to Asia telepathically after Cross vandalized Amical's wards and his portraits. He appears to believe Asia "freed" him at some point in the past.

* DarkAndTroubledPast: Whatever he showed Asia about his past when asked ''horrified'' her. It apparently involved a murderer in high school, though whether he is the murderer in question or not...
* DisproportionateRetribution: Scrambled Billy's mind because he found him annoying.
* FauxAffablyEvil: He helped Asia with her magic and offered her information to help with her Emily disguise. On the other hand, [[spoiler: he's an Abyssal PuppeteerParasite who was infiltrating her body at the time, and pulled at GrandTheftMe when he got tired of playing along]].
* HearingVoices: How his telepathy initially manifests.
* SpellMyNameWithAThe: The Hizrim has been known to refer to Hizrim as The Hizrim in scenes.
* SuddenlyVoiced: Hizrim is the only character so far to be voiced on a regular basis.
* ThirdPersonPerson: Always uses "Hizrim" in place of "I", and also often uses "Asia" instead of "you" when speaking to her.
* TheVoice: The Whisper, more like...
* VoiceOfTheLegion: His text is written out of boxes, in monochrome white scattered across the screen, and his own voice has a weird disjointed quality to it.

!! Cross
[[quoteright:180:http://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/morphe_cross_3487.png]]
[[caption-width-right:180:“Gotta love a challenge.”]]
Andrew Cross is a jittery, scarred, somewhat unstable Sleepwalker who holes up in a heavily guarded suburban bungalow when he’s not out breaking and entering. He seems to have a personal vendetta against Amical.

* BadassLongcoat: A black trench coat, perfect for entertaining guests and conducting home invasions.
* BadassNormal: He can hold his own against mages and other supernaturals, which takes pretty serious skill; he got through the manor’s defenses without any effort. Even Malloy is cautious of him.
* BroughtDownToBadass: If the Chapter 4 opener [[UnreliableNarrator can be believed.]]
* CrazyPrepared: During the Chapter 4 opening where he had all the tools and knowledge to handle Amical's defenses.
* DePowered: It's been strongly hinted he ''used'' to be a mage before some bizarre cranial injury.
* JerkassFacade: As unpleasant as his paranoia makes him, he's the first to say that the seedlings' safety is more important than their strategic value.
* LaResistance: Acts like this against Amical.
* MotorMouth: He does like to talk.
* PintSizedPowerhouse: One of the shortest people in the comic, even in his combat boots.
* ProperlyParanoid: As anyone who antagonizes a cabal of mages ought to be. His house is locked up and {{Booby Trap}}ped to high heaven, and his suspicion of magical {{Tracking Chip}}s is justified in the setting.
* SailorsPonytail: A very long one. He must spend a lot on shampoo.
* WalkingTechbane: To magically imbued items, with spectacular results.

* {{Catchphrase}}: "Understood".

!!'''Curio'''
Curio is a lurker. Be it on message boards or IRL, he keeps out of sight and watches. He is a big fan of Billy Thatcher and his television show. He is a fairly typical kid, now living a not so typical life.

* FunTShirt: </Sarcasm>
* NervousWreck: He breaks easily under pressure and has on more than one occasion faked his death to escape an unwelcome conversation.
* OnlyKnownByTheirNickname: Curio and Adrestia do not have their civilian names stated.
* TheQuietOne: The quiet''est'' one.

* BoyishShortHair: A pixie cut.

* ImprobableAimingSkills: Thanks to magic.

* CoDragons[=/=]ThoseTwoGuys: With Rick.
* {{Telepathy}}: Natural for a Mastigos.

* BigGuyLittleGuy: The little half.
* CoDragons[=/=]ThoseTwoGuys: With Malloy.

* DeadpanSnarker: "Avenge the flowers."
* DoesNotLikeShoes: He goes barefoot in his fancy suit.
* MustHaveNicotine: Lights up in the parlour without realizing what he was doing.
* OnlyKnownByTheirNickname: Almost certainly.

* YouGottaHaveBlueHair: Styled into PeekABangs.
