!!Season Two Monsters

!! General
----
* AdaptationSpeciesChange: The ''Dairanger'' monsters were originally humans who turned into monsters with a martial arts technique. Here, they're created from objects, plants, or animals.
* AdaptedOut: The [[{{Mooks}} Cotpotros]], Pot Taoist[[labelnote:*]]He was planned to be in the episode "Party Crasher" as the Party Crasher Monster, but the episode was cancelled[[/labelnote]], Birdcage Vagabond, Telephone Sensei, and General Kamikaze were not adapted. Nor were the Duke of Trumps (movie exclusive) or the Gorma Temple Guards.
* CanonForeigner: Pirantis Head through Turban Shell, the last batch of ''[=Zyu2=]'' monsters. There’s also Wizard of Deception and his three rat monsters, who were all completely original creations, and Turkey Jerk, who was created out of the Chunky Chicken suit.
* DiesDifferentlyInAdaptation: Due to the Thunder Zords being introduced earlier than planned, the last batch of ''[=Zyu2=]'' monsters, who were originally killed with the Megazord or Ultrazord instead [[StockFootageFailure have the Thunder Saber's slash awkwardly superimposed over them.]]

!! Pirantis Head
[[quoteright:350:https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/tvtropes_pirantishead.png]]
!!!'''Voiced By:''' Scott Page-Pagter
A large piranha monster, the first created by Lord Zedd. He was created to defeat the Rangers, primarily to take away their Zords.
----
* AccidentalMisnaming: When he returns in "[[Recap/MightyMorphinPowerRangersS2EP38AReelFishStory A Reel Fish Story]]," Zedd simply calls him "Piranha." Not even "Piranha Monster." Just "Piranha."
* AdaptationExpansion: One of the ''[=Zyu2=]'' monsters to appear.
* AdaptationSpeciesChange: In Hamilton Comics' retelling of "[[Recap/MightyMorphinPowerRangersS2EP1TheMutinyPart1 The Mutiny]]," he clearly looks more like a goldfish-themed monster than a piranha-based one.
* AllThereInTheManual: His name is spelled "Pirantis Head" as opposed to "Pirantishead," according to his Bandai figure and Spin Fighter.
* BackFromTheDead: Lord Zedd resurrects him later in the season to join his fellow revived sea monsters in fighting the Rangers.
* BrainwashedAndCrazy: Using his flute, he could take control of both the Dragonzord and Tyrannosaurus Dinozord.
* BrightIsNotGood: Though the piranha he was created from possessed the species' usual dark, muted colors, Pirantis Head himself is adorned with bright whites, pinks, and greens.
* TheBusCameBack: He was one of the fish monsters that came back in "[[Recap/MightyMorphinPowerRangersS2EP38AReelFishStory A Reel Fish Story]]."
** He also appears in the ''Mighty Morphin Power Rangers'' comics by [[Creator/MarvelComics Marvel]], set during Season 3.
* DiesDifferentlyInAdaptation: Pirantis Head was intended to be destroyed by the Ultrazord in the original ''[=Zyu2=]'' footage (note the explosion on his chest), but at this point in ''MMPR'' the Dino Zords had been written out and replaced by the Thunder Zords, so it was changed to the Thunder Megazord's Thunder Saber.
* FiendishFish: He uses the Dino Zords to attack Angel Grove and has no problem personally attacking civilians.
* FightingWithChucks: His fish flutes, two metal fish connected by a chain, were essentially nunchaku. In the original ''[=Zyu2=]'' footage, he could extend the chain's length and use it to lasso the Megazord.
* FishPeople: He's a large, humanoid piranha.
* FreezeRay: When Pirantis Head's beam isn't taking control of a machine, it has this effect on them; he uses it to freeze the Mastodon, Pterodactyl, Triceratops, and Sabertooth Tiger Dinozords, rendering them useless.
* GodzillaThreshold: The Rangers have spent a good chunk of the episode hearing about how deadly and powerful Lord Zedd is. When Pirantis Head begins to attack Angel Grove, they immediately call for the Dino Zords, even though the monster isn't giant-sized yet. The only previous time Zordon greenlighted this was against Samurai Fan Man, who would necessitate the Ultrazord to finish off, having easily survived the Dragonzord Battle Mode finisher.
* KickTheDog: When Bulk and Skull's four-wheelers are broken down, Pirantis Head uses his fish flutes to bring them back to life. Then send them speeding wildly out of control, with Bulk and Skull still on them.
* KillerRobot: Pirantis Head turns Jason and Tommy's Dino Zords into this with his fish flutes.
* NonActionGuy: As powerful as he was, he mainly just stood around taunting the Rangers, allowing the Dino Zords and the Z-Putties to do the fighting for him. That having been said, when he ''needed'' to fight, he definitely could.
* NoSell: A negative (for Pirantis Head) example. He could not control the Thunder Zords as he could the Dino Zords; he seemed to be playing his fish flute when faced with the Mega Thunderzord, but the Megazord showed absolutely no reaction, forcing Pirantis Head to fight it the traditional way.
* OutOfTheInferno: The Rangers finally get a chance to deal with Pirantis Head directly and shoot him with the Power Blaster. There's a huge explosion, and the monster violently sparks (he jumps up and down complaining about a hot foot), but once the smoke clears, he's completely unharmed.
* PiranhaProblem: When Zordon announces that Lord Zedd has created a monster out of a piranha, a stunned Zack asks "''As in 'man-eating?'''"
* PunnyName: His name is likely a reference to ''Music/{{Portishead}}''.
* QuirkyMinibossSquad: Pirantis Head is resurrected along with Goo Fish, Slippery Shark, and Commander Crayfish to battle the Rangers in Season 2's "[[Recap/MightyMorphinPowerRangersS2EP38AReelFishStory A Reel Fish Story]]."
* RedEyesTakeWarning: Pirantis Head has shiny, red eyes.
* RightHandAttackDog: The Tyrannosaurus and Dragonzord become this to Pirantis Head while under his control.
* SmallRoleBigImpact: He's only around for the season premiere, yet he's the monster that takes out the Dino Zords and necessitates the creation of the Thunder Zords. He's also the first one to change the status quo in such a way.
* {{Technopath}}: According to Alpha, his flutes allow him to take control of any kind of machine.
* TransformationSequence: Lord Zedd's lightning hits the surface of a river and ensnares a lone piranha. The energy crackles over the fish before we see its face begin to be replaced by its more monstrous appearance, at which point the fully formed Pirantis Head rises out of the water.
* TurnedAgainstTheirMasters: A forced example, as Pirantis Head takes control of the Tyrannosaurus and Dragonzord and turns them against the Rangers.
* YouDontLookLikeYou: In the Marvel story "I'd Like to be Under the Sea" (set circa Season 3), Pirantis Head looks roughly the same body-wise, but his black/white/pink/green color scheme is gone. He's now completely gray in color, with his fins and gloves a solid green.
** When he appeared in Hamilton's "Mighty Morphin Power Rangers: Saga," his body's proportions more closely match Pudgy Pig (an oversized head with arms and legs) than his television counterpart, and his design is clearly more based on a ''goldfish'' than a piranha, as he's bright orange, extremely cutesy, and most notably, visibly lacks any teeth.

!! Primator
!!!'''Voiced By:''' Paul Schrier (First Appearance), Creator/RichardEpcar (Second Appearance)
A white ape monster created from Zack's gorilla costume.
----
* AdaptationExpansion: One of the ''[=Zyu2=]'' monsters to appear.
* TheBusCameBack: One of the monsters to return in "Zedd's Monster Mash."
* DirtyCoward: Tries vainly to flee the battle as soon as the tables start to turn.
* KillerSpaceMonkey: Though he was originally Zack's ape suit, brought to life by Lord Zedd.
* KryptoniteFactor: Reflective surfaces is his weakness, whether it be Alpha's shiny dome or Kimberly's mirror, as they cancel his transformations.
* {{Shapeshifting}}: As with Twin Man from Season 1, Primator can change his appearance to the Rangers in both civilian and morphed. Unlike Twin Man, he doesn't have a preference.
* ShockAndAwe: Uses lightning-based attacks when forced to fight openly.
* StockAnimalDiet: Being an ape, he enjoys a banana shake.

!! Salaguana
[[quoteright:350:https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/tvtropes_salaguana.png]]
!!!'''Voiced By:''' John C. Hyke (First Appearance), Dave Mallow (Second Appearance), Bob Papenbrook (Third Appearance)
A fire-breathing half iguana, half-mythical salamander monster created by Lord Zedd out of Miss Applebee's pet iguana.
----
* AdaptationExpansion: One of the ''[=Zyu2=]'' monsters to appear.
* AllThereInTheManual: His name is spelled "Salaguana" as opposed to "Saliguana," according to his episode's VHS box and his Spin Fighter.
* BackFromTheDead: Finster selects him as one of the monsters, whom he said were among Rita's favorites, to resurrect later in the second season for "[[Recap/MightyMorphinPowerRangersS2EP41TheWeddingPart1 The Wedding]]."
* BloodlessCarnage: Salaguana suffers no noticeable injury after having his tongue hacked off by the Thunder Saber.
* BreathWeapon: His main ability is breathing powerful streams of flame from his mouth.
* TheBusCameBack: Salaguana is one of the monsters to return in "[[Recap/MightyMorphinPowerRangersS2EP15OrchestralManeuversinthePark Orchestral Maneuvers in the Park]]" and "[[Recap/MightyMorphinPowerRangersS2EP41TheWeddingPart1 The Wedding]]."
* CheatedDeathDiedAnyway: Salaguana is saved from being blown up from the Power Blaster by Lord Zedd, only to be killed by the Thunder Megazord a few minutes later.
* ClassPet: Salaguana is created out of the pet iguana kept in Miss Applebee's classroom.
* DiesDifferentlyInAdaptation: Salaguana was intended to be destroyed by the Megazord's Power Sword in the original ''[=Zyu2=]'' footage (note the red lightning effects), but at this point in ''MMPR'' the Dino Zords had been written out and replaced by the Thunder Zords, so it was changed to the Thunder Megazord's Thunder Saber.
* FierySalamander: The "sala" half of Salaguana does not come from the real-life amphibian, but rather the mythological creature known for being able to live within fire.
* GreenIsGross: At Zedd and Rita's wedding reception, Salaguana is seen holding a large metal beer stein which a Z-Putty proceeds to fill for him with some sort of strange green liquid.
* HairTriggerTemper: He spends a good deal of his fight with Billy and Zack getting enraged over every little thing. Which makes sense, as he's [[StealthPun hot-headed]].
* HybridMonster: Salaguana is a combination of salamander and iguana.
* LizardFolk: He's a humanoid lizard monster.
* LogicalWeakness: As he's part iguana and thus cold-blooded, Billy deduces that a cold-based weapon could keep him from utilizing his fire breath.
* MultipurposeTongue: Salaguana can [[OverlyLongTongue shoot his tongue out]] and lasso it around the Thunder Megazord. It is quickly [[BloodlessCarnage severed]].
* NoOneShouldSurviveThat: Salaguana is dumbfounded when the Red Dragon Thunderzord withstands a blast of his fire breath.
* NoOntologicalInertia: Miss Applebee's iguana is shown being returned to normal after Salaguana is destroyed.
* NothingButSkulls: Salaguana brings a small statue with a large skull head as a gift to Rita and Zedd's wedding.
* PlayingWithFire: Being part mythical salamander, Salaguana can breathe fire.
* QuirkyMinibossSquad: Salaguana is among the resurrected monsters chosen by Finster to attack the Rangers in the abandoned theater in "The Wedding." He ultimately joins Grumble Bee, Robogoat, Dramole, Socadillo, and Eye Guy in fighting the Thunder Zords in "[[Recap/MightyMorphinPowerRangersS2EP43TheWeddingPart3 The Wedding Part III]]."
* RedEyesTakeWarning: Salaguana has solid red eyes.
* ReptilesAreAbhorrent: He's an evil, fire-breathing iguana monster.
* SpikesOfVillainy: Salaguana has small spikes all over his upper arms and thighs.
* StockFootage: All footage of Salaguana during the fight with the Thunder Zords in "[[Recap/MightyMorphinPowerRangersS2EP43TheWeddingPart3 The Wedding Part III]]" is pulled entirely from his original Zord fight in "[[Recap/MightyMorphinPowerRangersS2EP5PuttyontheBrain Putty on the Brain]]."
* TailSlap: Salaguana leaps up and spins around, whipping Trini and Kimberly with his tail in "[[Recap/MightyMorphinPowerRangersS2EP15OrchestralManeuversinthePark Orchestral Maneuvers in the Park]]."
* TongueTrauma: He gets his tongue sliced off by the Thunder Saber and is clearly in agony afterwards.
* TransformationSequence: We see Miss Applebee's iguana disappear from its habitat before rematerializing as Salaguana in front of Bulk and Skull.

!! Bloom of Doom
[[quoteright:350:https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/tvtropes_bloomofdoom.png]]
!!!'''Voiced By:''' Creator/AlexBorstein
A flower monster capable of spewing poisonous pollen created by Lord Zedd, sent to single out and destroy Kimberly after her jealousy causes tension between her and Trini.
----
* AdaptationExpansion: She's one of the ''[=Zyu2=]'' monsters to be adapted into ''Power Rangers''.
* AmbiguousGender: Thanks to a case of InconsistentDub, Trini and Kimberly's failed attack on the Bloom of Doom involves the exchange: "Where'd she go?" "Trini, I almost had him!" A minor case, as this is the only instance where the Bloom is referred to as male, the monster is clearly voiced by a woman (Creator/AlexBorstein, to be exact), and she is universally accepted as a female monster.
* AntagonistTitle: "[[Recap/MightyMorphinPowerRangersS2EP6BloomofDoom Bloom of Doom]]."
* BeCarefulWhatYouSay: Zedd creates the Bloom of Doom when he overhears Kimberly calling her gardening boring.
* BotanicalAbomination: A twisted flower monstrosity created by Lord Zedd, likely to mock Kimberly's failing gardening club.
* BreakUpMakeUpScenario: The Bloom of Doom claims that Kimberly's insane jealousy has ruined her friendship with the others, so no one will be coming to save her.
* CombatTentacles: She has two long vines for arms and can [[ShockAndAwe emit electricity]] through them.
* DarkActionGirl: She's the first female monster created by Lord Zedd and has no problem getting her hands (well, vines) dirty.
* DesignatedGirlFight: The Bloom of Doom quickly gets the male Rangers out of commission with her incendiary pollen, leaving just Trini and Kimberly to fight her. She then has an extended solo fight with Kimberly in her PocketDimension. When Kimberly ultimately escapes, the Bloom only really fights her and Trini, with the other Rangers only showing up long enough to finish her off with the Power Blaster.
* DiesDifferentlyInAdaptation: She fights the Megazord and Dragonzord and is killed by the Power Sword in the original ''[=Zyu2=]'' footage. In ''MMPR'', she's simply destroyed by the Power Blaster without growing to giant size at all.
* EnemySummoner: Surprised to see all six Rangers facing her together, the Bloom summons a squad of [[{{Mooks}} Z-Putties]] to help even the odds in her favor.
* EyesDoNotBelongThere: She has an eye in the center of her main blossom.
* FoulFlower: A flower monster with no qualms about taunting Kimberly and Trini over their recent tension, in addition to the usual desire to destroy the Power Rangers and the Earth.
* GardenOfEvil: The Bloom warps Kimberly and herself to a [[PocketDimension dark realm]] full of cacti.
* HypnoticEyes: The Bloom of Doom's eye produces a minor hypnotic effect on Kimberly as the monster teleports her to her GardenOfEvil, briefly making it difficult for the Pink Ranger to think straight.
* InconsistentDub: During their first fight with the Bloom of Doom, Trini and Kimberly refer to the monster as both male and female.
* InformedAbility: The Bloom refers to her pollen as poisonous and Billy later calls it "incendiary pollen," but it doesn't seem to affect the Rangers too badly. The worst we see is the Rangers rubbing their eyes when they retreat to the Command Center, as if they'd simply gotten some dirt in their eyes.
* NoSell: While Kimberly's first use of the ribbon weapon seems to deal some damage to the Bloom, the monster completely ignores her second attempt at using it.
* PetalPower: The Bloom has the ability to unleash a burning pollen from her petals.
* PlantAliens: She's an extraterrestrial flower monster.
* PlantPerson: She's a humanoid flower monster with arms and legs, though her torso is much less human-like.
* PocketDimension: She warps Kimberly and herself to a dark void filled with dying cacti and a thick mist covering the floor.
* PowerupLetdown: The ribbon weapon Zordon gives Kimberly to wield against the Bloom ultimately doesn't amount to much and plays no part in actually defeating the beast.
* ShockAndAwe: The Bloom is capable of sending electric shocks through her vine arms, nearly beating Kimberly with them in her GardenOfEvil.
* ThrowingYourSwordAlwaysWorks: Trini throwing her Power Daggers at a 90 degree trajectory is the only way to pierce the barrier between dimensions and free Kimberly from the Bloom of Doom's clutches.

!! Robogoat
!!!'''Voiced By:''' Steve Kramer
A robotic goat monster created from a drawing.
----
* AdaptationalBadass: Zig-zagged as his blasts do more damage in the final cut to the Thunder Zords than he did to the Megazord in the original [=Zyu2=] footage. That said, it takes the Ultrazord in [=Zyu2=] to defeat him while the Thunder Megazord power sword finishes him off here.
* AdaptationExpansion: One of the ''[=Zyu2=]'' monsters to appear.
* TheBusCameBack: One of the monsters to return in "Zedd's Monster Mash" and "The Wedding."
* InformedAbility: His powers are drawn from mystical and mechanical sources.
* OhCrap: Has one of these when the Rangers get up and charge up the Thunder Saber. He stops charging to let out an "Uh oh," following it up with [[BlatantLies "You don't scare me!"]]
* VerbalTic: Being a goat, he tends to dr-a-a-a-a-a-g out certain sounds.

!! Octophantom
!!!'''Voiced By:''' Eddie Frierson
An elephant-octopus monster sent to capture the Rangers and drain their powers.
----
* AdaptationalWimp: He did more damage to the Megazord in the original Zyu2 footage.
* AdaptationExpansion: One of the ''[=Zyu2=]'' monsters to appear.
* BerserkButton: Hitting him in the trunk is this.
* TheBusCameBack: One of the monsters to return in Season 3's "Ninja Quest."
* TheFightingNarcissist: He is extremely vain, to the point where he can get distracted overseeing his reflection in the mirror.
* NotInTheFace: He's very protective of his trunk, and goes nuts when the Thunder Megazord chops it off.
* SissyVillain: Has elements of this. For instance, he's very sensitive about his trunk.

!! Stag Beetle
!!!'''Voiced By:''' Wendee Lee
A horned beetle monster created from a Stone Canyon sports team poster. Lord Zedd sent the monster to drain Tommy of his Green Ranger powers.
----
* AdaptationExpansion: One of the ''[=Zyu2=]'' monsters to appear.
* TheBusCameBack: One of the monsters to return in "Orchestral Maneuvers in the Park" and in Season 3's "Ninja Quest."
* DeathByDisfigurement: His pincers are chopped off moments before he's killed.
* DirtyCommies: Implied when he refers to the Z-Putties as his "clay comrades".
* EnergyAbsorption: He was made as part of Lord Zedd's plan to drain Tommy's Green Ranger powers.
* KamehameHadoken: After absorbing the Green Ranger powers, he can fire green energy balls. Also, every time he uses this attack, it drains a bit of the power.
* PowerPincers: Has these for hands.
* SissyVillain: Downplayed. He cries out, "My beautiful pincers!" when his pincers are chopped off.

!! Invenusable Fly Trap
!!!'''Voiced By:''' Alex Borstein (First Appearance), Creator/RichardEpcar (Second and Third Appearances)
A Venus flytrap monster used as part of a plan to hold Trini's neighbor Hallie hostage on Venus Island.
----
* AdaptationExpansion: One of the ''[=Zyu2=]'' monsters to appear.
* AllThereInTheManual: Her name is spelled "Invenusable Fly Trap" instead of "Invenusable Flytrap," according to her Bandai figure and Spin Fighter.
* DiesDifferentlyInAdaptation: Has a Zord battle in the original [=Zyu2=] footage where she loses to the Megazord. This was first discovered from a Viewmaster slide of Invenusable Flytrap holding one of Zedd's growth bombs.
* GenderFlip: She becomes "he" in "Rangers Back In Time" when recreated by Zedd.
* TheBusCameBack: Would return later in Season 2 in "Zedd's Monster Mash," "Rangers Back in Time," and "The Wedding." S/he would also return in Season 3's "Master Vile and the Metallic Armor."
* KillItThroughItsStomach: After she eats the Rangers, they combine their energy to fry her insides. She spends the remainder of the battle holding her stomach in agony, doubled over in pain, and helpless against the Rangers' attacks.
* VillainsWantMercy: Zig-zagged, while her stomach's being fried, she just stands there holding her stomach in pain, begging for them to stop. After they break free, she has a brief VillainousBreakdown and screams in a blind rage attacking, despite being in too much pain to do much damage, even yelling [[SuddenlyShouting "NOW YOU'VE MADE ME MAD"]], but once they form the Power Blaster, she's back to pleading for mercy again.
* WimpFight: After her stomach was fried, she attacks by feebly flailing her arms around and screaming, proving far less effective than she was early on in the battle.

!! Guitardo
!!!'''Voiced By:''' Tony Oliver
A guitar-playing cicada monster used by Lord Zedd to hypnotize the Rangers with music.
----
* AdaptationExpansion: One of the ''[=Zyu2=]'' monsters to appear.
* DisappearsIntoLight: For some reason, he turns into sparkles instead of exploding.
* InformedAbility: Is said to be a mind-control monster, but the Rangers never appear to have their thoughts altered. Instead, he appears to have weight-changing abilities.
* MagicMusic: He's much more brutal with this trope than Gnarly Gnome was.
* MindControlMusic: While he doesn't go the "mindless slave" route, he does make Tommy incapable of holding his Dragon Dagger in the final fight. His mind control is also what results in the other Rangers floating in the air. Somehow.
-->"Succumb to me, your thoughts are mine / Feel my music fill your mind!"

!! Turban Shell
!!!'''Voiced By:''' Barbara Goodson
A conch monster sent to attack Tommy and drain the last of his Green Ranger powers.
----
* AdaptationExpansion: The last of the ''[=Zyu2=]'' monsters to appear in [=MMPR=].
* AllThereInTheManual: His name is spelled "Turban Shell" as opposed to "Turbanshell," according to his Spin Fighter.
* NoHoldsBarredBeatdown: Delivers these to the Thunderzords the first couple times. Even disrupting its power walk.
* PuzzleBoss: Overpowers all the zords and is immune to their finisher until his one weakness is discovered. You have to both scorch his interior and freeze his exterior. Afterward, he stumbles around, dazed and confused and is finally weak enough to be vulnerable to the Thunder Saber.
* WakeUpCallBoss: Not that Zedd's monsters were pushovers, but Turban Shell was the first one where it gave the Rangers more trouble than needed, even ''breaking apart'' the Thunder Megazord in the second battle and interrupting its power walk through the blasts, very rarely done. It's likely that had it been in their arsenal at the time, they would have called on the [=MegaTigerzord=] to finish the job.

!! Pipebrain
!!!'''Voiced By:''' Brad Orchard
A pipe monster created from the Golden Pipe Trophy. He was created to face off against Jason while the other Rangers were captured.
----
* AdaptedOut: Many of the ''Dairanger'' monsters had human forms removed from ''Power Rangers'', and Pipebrain is no exception.
* AdaptationalLateAppearance: Zig-zagged. On the one hand, he is the first monster from ''Dairanger'' to appear, similar to his Sentai counterpart. On the other hand, he appears later because of the leftover Zyu 2 footage.
* CombatTentacles: He has one on his left arm, which also has ShockAndAwe properties.
* ISurrenderSuckers: Pretends to be hurt to get in a few attacks against the Red Dragon Thunderzord.

!! Trumpet Top
!!!'''Voiced By:''' Dave Mallow
A trumpet monster created from a trumpet that belonged to Zack's uncle.
----
* AdaptationSpeciesChange: He was originally a comedic tofu monster in ''Dairanger'' but was changed into a trumpet-themed monster in ''Power Rangers''.
* AdaptedOut: His human form from ''Dairanger'' was not used.
* AlliterativeName: '''T'''rumpet '''T'''op.
* {{Bowdleri|se}}ze: Was a drunken-fist user in ''Dairanger'' but was changed to an illusionist for Power Rangers.
* ExclusiveEnemyEquipment: Trumpet Top steals the Thunder Saber from the Megazord. Things don't go well for him as the saber has an electrocuting self-defence mode.
* MasterOfIllusion: Can create illusions of past monsters.
* PlayingWithFire: Can breathe fire.

!! Mirror Maniac
!!!'''Voiced By:''' Tom Wyner
A mirror monster created from Kimberly's mirror.
----
* AdaptationExplanationExtrication: His mirror is broken when he grows since the Dairangers shattered it, but the Power Rangers didn't.
* AlliterativeName: '''M'''irror '''M'''aniac.
* BareFistedMonk: Uses his fists instead of a weapon.
* MirrorMonster: A literal example as he's a walking mirror monster.

!! Nimrod the Scarlet Sentinel
!!!'''Voiced By:''' Brianne Siddall
A hand-lightning rod monster created from a stone fist statue. She can summon two other monsters known as [=AC=] and [=DC=].
----
* AdaptedOut: Her human form from ''Dairanger'' was not used.
* CombinationAttack: With [=AC=] and [=DC=], Nimrod can perform a powerful lightning strike.
* MeaningfulName: Other than being based on a popular rock band, [=AC=] and [=DC=] can also mean "alternative current" and "direct current," electricity terms for monsters that have electric-based powers. Also, despite [[WesternAnimation/LooneyTunes Bugs Bunny]]'s iconic redefinition of the word, "Nimrod" is actually the name of a great hunter from Literature/TheBible.
* OhCrap: Has one when she sees the [=MegaTigerzord=] walk through their lightning barrage, cowering in fear and making her minions attack so she doesn't have to be the one walloped.
* ShockAndAwe: Nimrod and her two monsters have this ability.
* ShoutOut: [=AC=] and [=DC=] is a play on the rock band ''Music/{{ACDC}}''.
* TerribleTrio: She and her two goons serve as this trope.
* UnrelatedInTheAdaptation: AC and DC were her sisters in ''Dairanger,'' and then later their ghosts (which is why they just fade away instead of exploding).
* TheWorfEffect: She and her two goons were strong enough to handle the Thunder Megazord and the newly created White Tigerzord but struggled against the [=MegaTigerzord=].

!! Pursehead
[[quoteright:350:https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/tvtropes_pursehead2.png]]
!!!'''Voiced By:''' Richard Cansino
A coin purse monster created by Lord Zedd from a purse given to Kimberly by her mother for her date with Tommy.
----
* AdaptationalWimp: In ''Dairanger'', his counterpart Purse Priest was able to take on the entire team. Pursehead, however, clearly can't handle direct combat and gets taken out by the White Ranger alone.
* AdaptedOut: His ''Dairanger'' counterpart had a human form that was never used in ''Power Rangers''.
** He also had the ability to open his purse-head and reveal a red, more human-like head inside, which went unused in ''MMPR''.
* AdvertisingOnlyContinuity: The VHS box for "[[Recap/MightyMorphinPowerRangersS2EP19TwoforOne Two For One]]" refers to the monster as "Purselips."
* CarryABigStick: Pursehead's main weapon is a staff with a [[DropTheHammer large mallet]] on one end and a fish-shaped club on the other.
* {{Cyclops}}: Pursehead only has one eye in the middle of his huge purse head.
* DiesDifferentlyInAdaptation: In ''Dairanger'', he was destroyed by the team's Qiryoku Bomber, but in ''Power Rangers'', he was destroyed single-handedly by Tommy (since none of the ''Dairanger'' suits other than Kibaranger were adapted in ''MMPR'').
* EpicFail: He dies from a blast of Saba's eye beams and a single kick from Tommy.
* FreezeRay: The Compact Ray he fires from his oversized compact mirror freezes the Rangers' minds, turning them into motionless statues.
* GlassCannon: He can [[OneHitKill one-hit KO]] the Rangers with his Compact Ray, but he can't handle fighting them head to head ''at all''.
* ImprobableWeaponUser: Aside from his staff, his weapons come from the items held inside Kimberly's purse. Her compact mirror becomes a freezing Compact Ray, and her dental floss becomes an energy lasso. Who knows what the lipstick would've become had Zedd not turned it into Lipsyncher?
* KnowsTheRopes: Pursehead can pull out a large dental floss container from within his head, then use the floss as a rope to lasso his opponents.
* MonsterProgenitor: He's this to Lipsyncher, though his destruction does not affect her.
* OneHitKill: His Compact Ray is capable of freezing an opponent's mind, taking them out of the fight in a single shot.
* {{Pun}}: "Silly White Ranger. I'm more trouble than you can HANDLE!"

!! Lipsyncher
[[quoteright:305:https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/tvtropes_lipsyncher.png]]
!!!'''Voiced By:''' Alex Borstein
A lipstick monster created by Lord Zedd from a tube of lipstick Trini gave to Kimberly for her date with Tommy.
----
* AdaptedOut: Her ''Dairanger'' counterpart had a human form that was never used in ''Power Rangers''.
* AllThereInTheManual: Her name is spelled "Lipsyncher" instead of "Lip Syncher," according to her episode's VHS box and ''Mighty Morphin Power Rangers: The Fighting Edition''.
* BeautyIsNeverTarnished: Subverted as a slash from Jason's Power Sword leaves a mark on her face.
* BeCarefulWhatYouSay: When she starts fighting Jason, she asks him, "Think those fists will stop me?" ''So he throws his sword at her face''.
* BloodierAndGorier: Not the most severe example of this trope, but Lipsyncher is still the only monster in all of ''MMPR'' to be shown to bleed.
* BreathWeapon: Lipsyncher can scream out destructive beams of sound from her mouth.
* BrownNote: When giant-sized, Lipsyncher emanates a long, shrieking note that causes great distress to the Red Dragon Thunderzord (and presumably Jason inside).
* TheChick: Is easily the most feminine monster in the entire series, surpassed only by Rita and Scorpina.
** She also fills this role on the roster for ''Mighty Morphin Power Rangers: The Fighting Edition'' on the [[UsefulNotes/SuperNintendoEntertainmentSystem Super Nintendo]].
* CoolSword: The blade to Lipsyncher's sword looks like a giant pair of lips.
* CurbStompBattle: She is immediately in control of the Zord fight and wails on the Red Dragon Thunderzord until the Assault Team eventually arrives, which in turn curb stomp her.
* CuteMonsterGirl: She's already vaguely one of these in the show itself, but this aspect becomes even more apparent in her design for ''MMPR: The Fighting Edition'', which really emphasizes her femininity.
* DarkActionGirl: She has absolutely no problem getting her hands dirty and very nearly destroys Jason's Thunder Zord.
* DeathByLookingUp: Lipsyncher watches as the Red Dragon Thunderzord leaps off the Thunder Zord Assault Team and flies closer towards her, powering up its finisher.
* DeathFromAbove: The flying Thunder Zord Assault Team finally destroys Lipsyncher.
* EyeObscuringHat: The entire upper half of her face is hidden by her large lipstick cap hat.
* FauxAffablyEvil: The facade breaks as soon as her face is damaged, at which point she takes no prisoners.
* FemmeFatale: She's one of the most feminine monsters in all of ''MMPR'' and comes quite close to destroying the Red Dragon Thunderzord on her own.
* GracefulLadiesLikePurple: She acts all sweet and girly until her face is slashed by Jason's Power Sword, at which point all bets are off.
* GratuitousFrench: Before she begins to beat down the Red Dragon Thunderzord, she bids it "Au revoir."
* HurtFootHop: She does this when the Unicorn Thunderzord sends a series of boulders flying towards her, one of which drops down onto her right foot.
* MakeMeWannaShout: Lipsyncher is capable of emitting purple beams of sound from her mouth. A single blast from this beam can completely shatter a statue and knock the Red Ranger flat on his back.
* MakeUpIsEvil: About as literal an interpretation of this trope as there possibly can be, as Lipsyncher literally ''is'' evil makeup.
* MoreDeadlyThanTheMale: She poses a much greater threat to the Rangers than her male compatriot, Pursehead.
* MusicalAssassin: In the show, she can spew destructive sound beams as well as shriek out painful musical tones. In ''MMPR: The Fighting Edition'', she can actually release giant musical notes (as in the actual symbols for music themselves) made of energy that detonates on contact with an enemy.
* NeverGivenAName: "Lipsyncher" comes from Zordon and the Rangers, but Lord Zedd - the monster's creator - only ever refers to her as "Lipstick Monster."
* NoSell: She doesn't even react to the Red Dragon Thunderzord's [[PlayingWithFire fire breath]].
* {{Pun}}: "What's the matter, Ranger? Can't face the MUSIC?" and "Time to KISS this world goodbye!"
* PurpleIsPowerful: Lipsyncher is purple and she gives the Red Dragon Thunderzord a rather sound thrashing.
* ThrowingYourSwordAlwaysWorks: Jason does this with his Power Sword and it results in a bloody gash across Lipsyncher's face.
* VanityIsFeminine: She's female and vain. Rather than bursting into tears when her face is injured, she freaks out and drops her dance majorette persona, becoming a vicious fighter.
* VillainousBreakdown: She has one of these when Jason slices her beautiful face open.

!! Magnet Brain
[[quoteright:350:https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/tvtropes_magnetbrain.png]]
!!!'''Voiced By:''' Michael Sorich
A magnet monster created by Lord Zedd from Billy's Polarizer device, sent to destroy the Earth by destabilizing the planet's magnetic polarity.
----
* BroughtToYouByTheLetterS: He has a large 'N' (for 'north') and 'S' (for 'south') on each end of his MagicStaff. He also has one on each side of his giant magnet head.
* ConvergingStreamWeapon: Magnet Brain gets hit by the Power Blaster, but it only sends him flying back into a wall.
* {{Cyclops}}: He only has a single eye, located between the north and south ends of his oversized magnet head.
* FlamethrowerBackfire: Magnet Brain fires energy blasts at Jason and Zack as they try to shoot him with their Blade Blasters, causing their guns to backfire on them.
* GoneHorriblyWrong: Billy creates a magnet device (a "Polarizer") intended to help him monitor a rare magnetic storm that takes place once every one hundred years. Lord Zedd transforms the Polarizer into Magnet Brain.
* HandBlast: He can fire swirling energy blasts from his hands.
* ImprobableWeaponUser: After growing to giant size, he summons a huge magnet which he throws at the Thunder Megazord.
* InconsistentDub: Zordon calls the monster "Magnetic Brain" at one point.
* MagicStaff: He wields a magnet staff that he can use to alter the Earth's polarity. It can also hover and spin in the air on its own as it starts to work Magnet Brain's magic.
* MagnetismManipulation: Magnet Brain's main power, he can use his magnetic abilities to destabilize the Earth's polarity, fire magnetic blasts that cause the Rangers to either stick together or be forced away from each other, reverse the polarity on Jason and Zack's Blade Blasters and make them misfire, and use oversized magnets to restrain his opponents.
* MistakenForQuake: When Magnet Brain begins to disrupt the Earth's polarity, it causes Angel Grove to start shifting and quaking. According to Alpha, similar events are happening across the entire planet.
* NoSell: The Power Blaster hits him, but instead of falling over and exploding, he's simply thrown back and crashes into a wall. Despite this, he's able to keep fighting and battles the Thunder Zords soon after.
* {{Pun}}: Right before creating Magnet Brain, Zedd says "And now, to introduce to Earth a monster with ''magnetic'' personality!"
* ReversePolarity: His mission is to do this to the Earth's natural magnetic pull during a rare cosmic storm, which would wreak havoc on the entire planet before ultimately disintegrating it completely.
* RhymesOnADime: When the Rangers arrive to confront him, Magnet Brain taunts "North is south, up is down! I'm about to trash this town!" Seconds later, he says "Let's try a polarity switch and see if it makes you twitch!" before firing a blast from his staff.
* ShockAndAwe: When his giant magnet is stuck to the Thunder Megazord, he uses his staff to electrify it, shocking the Zord.
* SuicidalOverconfidence: He declares "Magnet Brain fears no one!" as the Rangers summon the Power Blaster.
* SwordBeam: Magnet Brain is destroyed by the Thunder Saber's finishing attack.
* WreckedWeapon: He gets quite upset when the Thunder Megazord rips his giant magnet in half.

!! Gatekeeper of the Dark Dimension
[[quoteright:350:https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/tvtropes_gatekeeper_9.png]]
!!!'''Voiced By:''' Mike Reynolds
A key monster that guards the entrance to the haunted forest dimension where Lord Zedd's minion Doomstone keeps Tommy trapped.
----
* AdaptationalWimp: His ''Dairanger'' counterpart could fire off oversized keys like rockets, open and shut the large key blades on his head like scissors, and even ''steal people's souls''. In ''Power Rangers'', Gatekeeper can... lock doors.
* AdaptedOut: His ''Dairanger'' counterpart had a human form that was never used in ''Power Rangers''.
* AffablyEvil: He doesn't seem to be noticeably sinister or malicious compared to most other monsters, instead simply wanting to do a good job since Lord Zedd has given him such an important assignment.
* BlindShoulderToss: After being unable to locate the right key on his key ring, he simply declares "phooey" and tosses it over his shoulder.
* CoolKey: His oversized Master Key, which he ultimately uses to lock the door to the Dark Dimension.
* {{Cyclops}}: Gatekeeper only has a single eye in the middle of his face.
* DemotedToExtra: His ''Dairanger'' counterpart was a pretty serious threat, even lasting for two whole episodes instead of the usual one, but in ''Power Rangers'' he's edited down to a single scene, his only role being to trap Tommy in the Dark Dimension.
* DeusExMachina: His only purpose in the episode is basically to give a reason why Tommy simply can't teleport himself out of the forest.
* {{Exposition}}: Almost the entirety of his dialogue is this.
* FlashBack: Gatekeeper trying to lock the door to the Dark Dimension is one of the moments Lord Zedd recalls and discusses in ''Lord Zedd's Monster Heads''.
* ForgetfulJones: He can't remember which of the keys on his key ring is the proper key for the door to the haunted forest, so he just pulls out his Master Key.
* InformedAbility: He says once he locks the door to the Dark Dimension, that [[BlatantLies no one will be able to escape]]. Naturally, Tommy is back home by the end of the episode.
* TheLonelyDoor: The wallless door that he locks with his Master Key in order to trap Tommy within the haunted forest.
* PocketDimension: Gatekeeper doesn't seem to be in the Dark Dimension when he locks Tommy inside it, instead standing in an empty black void with fog hiding the floor. The only other thing in the area with him is a [[TheLonelyDoor lone door]], which he proceeds to lock.
* SkeletonKey: After fumbling with his key ring for a moment, he decides to just forget it and use his Master Key to lock the Dark Dimension shut.
* ThinkingOutLoud: Gatekeeper is a bit of a motor mouth in his brief appearance, going over how Zedd has given him the job of watching over the Dark Dimension and making sure it stays locked up, as well as depositing Tommy inside for Doomstone and his [[BackFromTheDead resurrected]] [[MonsterOfTheWeek monsters]] to deal with.
* TheUnfought: His only role is to lock Tommy within the haunted forest for Lord Zedd. He is never seen fighting the Rangers.
* WeHardlyKnewYe: He only appears in one scene and is never seen nor heard from again.
* WhatHappenedToTheMouse: He disappears without a trace after locking Tommy in the Dark Dimension.

!! Doomstone
[[quoteright:350:https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/tvtropes_doomstone.png]]
!!!'''Voiced By:''' Tom Wyner
A mysterious tombstone monster who presides over Lord Zedd's Dark Dimension, resurrecting previously destroyed monsters to help keep Tommy trapped there.
----
* AdaptedOut: His ''Dairanger'' counterpart, Company President Gravestone, had the ability to open his head up and reveal a flamethrowing apparatus within. This power wasn't carried over to Doomstone, as none of his ''Dairanger'' footage was utilized in "[[Recap/MightyMorphinPowerRangersS2EP21ZeddsMonsterMash Zedd's Monster Mash]]."
** Gravestone's teammates, Boss Kamikaze and Teacher Telephone, never made it into ''Power Rangers'', not even in crowd scenes.
* AllThereInTheManual: The announcer in the episode's "Today on ''Power Rangers''..." segment seems to refer to Doomstone as "the Halloween Monster."
* BareFistedMonk: Though he didn't engage the Rangers directly very often, when he did, it was with simple hand-to-hand techniques.
* BossRush: Once he's faced with three morphed Rangers, Doomstone starts spamming them with resurrected [[MonsterOfTheWeek monsters]], sending Primator, Rhino Blaster, Invenusable Fly Trap, and Snizard after them one by one.
* {{Bowdlerise}}: In ''Dairanger'' his suit had a large cross sticking out of his back, which was removed in ''Power Rangers'' for obvious reasons. The cross symbol on his forehead was also altered into what looks like a minus symbol. Finally, the skeletal parts of his body were painted gray, although that may have been more of a stylistic choice, since there was obviously no issue with other skeleton monsters such as Bones, Skelereena, and Rito Revolto.
* CoDragons: Pumpkin Rapper and Robogoat act as these to him for a majority of his fight with the Rangers.
* ConservationOfNinjutsu: His resurrected monsters are noticeably nowhere near as powerful as the originals, with even top tier monsters like Primator and Invenusable Fly Trap getting taken down with only a couple of kicks.
* {{Cyclops}}: He only has a single eye in the middle of his giant tombstone head.
* DemotedToExtra: Company President Gravestone was a recurring side villain who was part of a trio of monsters known as the Gorma Three Stooges. In ''Power Rangers'', Doomstone only appears in this one episode where he never gets a proper fight against the Rangers and isn't even really focused on any more than the returning monsters.
* DomainHolder: While it's never explained explicitly, Doomstone appears to be a being of at least some importance within the Dark Dimension.
* FlashBack: Doomstone and his resurrected monsters are among the encounters Lord Zedd recalls and discusses in ''Lord Zedd's Monster Heads''.
* GratuitousEnglish: He has "Here is MHLCAEH" (with the 'C' being backwards) written across his head.
* MysteriousPast: We're never told if Doomstone is a creation of Lord Zedd's, if he's a resident of the Dark Dimension that simply works for him, or what.
* {{Necromancer}}: This is the only special ability he displayed while fighting the Rangers; by the end of the episode he'd resurrected Pumpkin Rapper, Robogoat, Primator, Rhino Blaster, Invenusable Fly Trap, and Snizard.
* NoCelebritiesWereHarmed: He speaks in a 'spooky,' vaguely [[Creator/BelaLugosi Bela Lugosi]]-like voice.
* NonActionGuy: Despite his apparent rank within the Dark Dimension and ability to revive old monsters, Doomstone himself doesn't attack Tommy directly very often, only intervening when it looks like his monsters may be losing the advantage.
* NoNameGiven: Despite him being universally known by fans as "Doomstone," the necromancing tombstone monster is never actually referred to as, well, anything. The episode's "Today on..." segment implies that his real name may actually be "the Halloween Monster," but it's never officially stated in the episode itself.
* SoreLoser: As it becomes obvious that his attempted BossRush isn't working, he bemoans that the Rangers are "taking all the fun out of my celebration!"
* TaughtByExperience: When Tommy tries to morph shortly after arriving in the Dark Dimension, Doomstone leaps out and snatches his Morpher from him before he can do so. He holds onto it for most of the fight.
* WhatHappenedToTheMouse: Once Pumpkin Rapper grows to giant size, Doomstone suddenly disappears and isn't mentioned not only for the rest of the episode, but for the rest of the series as well.

!! Terror Blossom
!!!'''Voiced By:''' Dave Mallow
A cherry blossom monster created from several flower petals.
----
* InformedAbility: According to Zordon, Terror Blossom's petals are very poisonous. The most damage they did, though, was freezing three of the Rangers.
* GreenThumb: He has a head of cherry blossoms.
* {{Necromancer}}: Was able to resurrect Hatchasaurus by creating a cloud of flower petals.
* TechnicolorDeath: Instead of simply exploding into a fireball when defeated, he explodes into a huge cloud of petals.

!! Four Head
!!!'''Voiced By:''' Alex Borstein
A four-headed monster created from a statue by Angel Grove High's art class for a world teen summit.
----
* AdaptedOut: Her four human forms from ''Dairanger'' were not used.
* AttackReflector: She could reflect any attack that comes her way, as shown by deflecting the Megatigerzord's finishing move.
* CompositeCharacter: Four Head's ''Dairanger'' counterpart was actually the combined form of the Gorma Four Deva Kings, a recurring enemy group of that Sentai. Since ''Power Rangers'' tries to go away with using human enemies from the Sentai (with a few exceptions like Rita/Bandora and Scorpina/Lamie), they turned the combined form into one monster.
* DemotedToExtra: Her ''Dairanger'' counterparts lasted a little longer than she did.
* PunnyName: "Four Head" sounds like "forehead."
* ShesAManInJapan: Her ''Dairanger'' counterparts were four males.

!! Beamcaster
!!!'''Voiced By:''' Dave Mallow
A radio monster created from Bulk's energy output meter and a fishing pole that belonged to Skull's dad.
----
* AllThereInTheManual: His name is spelled "Beamcaster" as opposed to "Beam Caster," according to his episode's VHS box.
* BewareTheSillyOnes: Beamcaster looks ridiculous and talks like some evil Howard Cosell, but he likely came closer to achieving true victory for Zedd than any monster before him, hypnotizing the entire team!
* DiesDifferentlyInAdaptation: His ''Dairanger'' counterpart was destroyed by the Chi-Power Bazooka (the Power Cannon's sentai counterpart), but because it was not introduced yet, he was destroyed by the Power Blaster instead. He was also the last of ''MMPR'''s monsters to be destroyed by the Power Blaster.
* ImprobableWeaponUser: Wields a fishing rod as a weapon.
* MadBomber: Beamcaster uses explosives for weapons.
* NearVillainVictory: Brainwashes the Rangers and Bulk and Skull (who would later save their bacon in a similar situation), as well as many Angel Grove citizens. Had it not been for Rocky, Adam, and Aisha, he probably would have had a victory in the bag.

!! Silver Horns
[[quoteright:350:https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/tvtropes_silverhorns.png]]
!!!'''Voiced By:''' Michael Sorich
A tick monster created by Lord Zedd to buy time until Serpentera arrived on Earth; he's the first monster to face Rocky, Adam, and Aisha in their very first mission as Power Rangers.
----
* AccidentalMisnaming: In ''Lord Zedd's Monster Heads'', when Zedd and Goldar are reminiscing about Silver Horns' fight with the Rangers, Zedd refers to him as "the Silver Horn."
* AdaptationalIntelligence: Downplayed, but his counterpart, Ikazuchi, only vocalized in monstrous growls and roars. Here, he is fully capable of speaking.
* AllThereInTheManual: His name is spelled "Silver Horns" as opposed to "Silverhorns," according to his Collector Set figurine and ''Mighty Morphin Power Rangers: The Fighting Edition''.
* BareHandedBladeBlock: Grabs the Red Dragon Thunderzord's staff with his hand while it's attempting to use the finisher on him, making this one of the few times a finisher has been blocked. This also doubles as a NoSell.
* BigCreepyCrawlies: Though he doesn't quite look like one, Lord Zedd says (and Alpha later confirms) that he created Silver Horns out of a tick.
* TheBigGuy: Silver Horns is this for the Evil Space Aliens' side of the roster in ''Mighty Morphin Power Rangers: The Fighting Edition'' on the [[UsefulNotes/SuperNintendoEntertainmentSystem Super Nintendo]]. His counterpart on the hero's side is the Shogun Megazord.
* {{Cowboy}}: Speaks like one, Southern accent and all.
-->''"Yee-haw! I'm as happy as a wolf in a house full of hens!"''
* {{Cyclops}}: Silver Horns only has one eye on his huge, horned body.
* DeathByLookingUp: Silver Horns watches as the falling Thunder Ultrazord gets closer and closer...
* DeathFromAbove: Silver Horns is ultimately destroyed by the Thunder Ultrazord, which flies up into the air and then ''drops'' onto its targets.
* ExtendableArms: He has this ability in ''MMPR: The Fighting Edition''.
* FlashBack: Silver Horns' fights with the Rangers and the Red Dragon Thunderzord is one of the monster attacks Lord Zedd recalls and discusses in ''Lord Zedd's Monster Heads''.
* FourLeggedInsect: Silver Horns is one of these, with his clawed arms and boot-like feet.
* GlowingEyesOfDoom: His lone eye lights up whenever he unleashes his lightning.
* ImplacableMan: Silver Horns spends a good deal of his battle with the Red Dragon Thunderzord casually laughing as he continuously clobbers the Zord and [[NoSell No-Sells]] basically all its attacks, including its finisher. Even when the White Tigerzord shows up to help, it doesn't make much of a difference. It finally takes the Thunder Ultrazord to put the monster down.
* InformedAbility: Upon seeing that Silver Horns has been created from a tick, Zedd says, "His horns will suck the very life out of those Earthlings." Whether he was literal or dramatic is unknown, but either way, the monster never displays any life-draining abilities.
* NoHoldsBarredBeatdown: He delivers a thorough one to Rocky in his Red Dragon Thunderzord.
* NoSell: Virtually every attack the Red Dragon Thunderzord tries does not affect him until the Rangers summon the Thunder Ultrazord.
* PlayingWithFire: While he mainly used lightning bolts to attack, he was also capable of shooting flames from his horns as well.
* PowerPincers: Silver Horns has these instead of hands.
* PullingThemselvesTogether: When Lord Zedd first creates him, we see segments of Silver Horns' body come together until he's fully formed.
* ShockAndAwe: Silver Horns could generate and shoot multicolored lightning bolts from pretty much every horn on his body.
* SpikesOfVillainy: Silver Horns is quite possibly the spikiest monster ever created by the Evil Space Alien crew (well, aside from [[PropRecycling Repellator]]).
* SummonBiggerFish: His apparent reaction to Lord Zedd arriving in Serpentera for backup (not that he needed it at that point).
* VillainousBreakdown: A subtle one. When Tommy shows up in the White Tigerzord to help Rocky, Silver Horns starts taking the fight a bit more seriously. Immediately dropping the laid-back country boy persona, he says, "The sheriff has a deputy? No posse's gonna get ME!" and punches a mountain into pieces, hurtling a bunch of rocks at them. When the Red Dragon Thunderzord tries to attack next, [[NoSell it's instantly tossed back]].
* VocalDissonance: Silver Horns is a hulking, cyborg-looking monstrosity built like a tank whose torso is covered in enormous horns... That speaks like a stereotypical cowboy.

!! Skelerena
!!!'''Voiced By:''' Tom Fahn
A skeletal hyena monster created from a picture of a hyena in a magazine.
----
* AdaptationalIntelligence: Downplayed. While Jin Matoba was unable to speak in his Garouki form, being a feral werewolf-like monster, Skelerena is fully capable of speaking and taunts the rangers at any opportunity.
* AdaptationSpeciesChange: Garouki was a wolf-beast in ''Dairanger'' but became hyena-based in ''Power Rangers''.
* AdaptationalVillainy: While Jin Matoba of ''Dairanger'' was mostly a villain, he at least had a NobleDemon quality to him that wouldn't allow for any dirty tricks, and his monster form was more of a BrainwashedAndCrazy situation. Skelerena, by contrast, is a straight-up monster and laughs at his opponents' misfortunes.
* AdaptationalWimp: Compared to Garouki's skills in ''Dairanger'', Skelerena never once attacked the rangers and instead just taunts them before he was easily destroyed by the Power Cannon. Most of this is due to all of his footage having him fight up close with the then-unadapted ''Dairanger'' suits and never becoming enlarged for a Megazord battle.
* AdaptedOut: His human form from ''Dairanger'' was not used.
* AllThereInTheManual: His name is spelled "Skelerena" as opposed to "Skelereena" or "Skelerina," according to his Collector Set figurine.
* CurbStompBattle: Skelerena didn't even lay a hand on the rangers before they whipped out the Power Cannon and destroyed him.
* DeathByAdaptation: While there are signs that Jin Matoba was still alive in ''Dairanger'', Skelerena is confirmed to be dead by the end of the battle against the Rangers.
* DemotedToExtra: His ''Dairanger'' counterpart, Jin Matoba, was actually the main rival to the Red Ranger, and the monster form, Garouki, was created when the villains powered him with Gorma energy. However, because they could not use his human form, his monster form was downgraded to MonsterOfTheWeek. He ended up being the first monster to be killed by the Power Cannon.
* DemBones: Another skeletal monster.

!! Scatterbrain
!!!'''Voiced By:''' Mike Reynolds
A kaleidoscope monster created from a kaleidoscope to erase the Rangers' memories of their own identities.
----
* AllThereInTheManual: His name is spelled "Scatterbrain" as opposed to "Scatter Brain," according to his episode's VHS box.
* BewareTheSillyOnes:
** Scatterbrain looks even sillier than Beamcaster was but had even more success by wiping out all of the Rangers' memories.
** He ended up having this trope thrown at him when he learned the hard way that the comic relief duo, Bulk and Skull, are not to be trifled with. This was thanks to the duo reflecting Scatterbrain's own beam towards the Rangers and helping them regain their memories, at the cost of losing their knowledge of learning their identities.
* LaserGuidedAmnesia: He has a beam that can erase people's memories.
* NearVillainVictory: He actually succeeds in his mission to erase the Rangers' memories. The only thing that stopped him from taking them to Lord Zedd was Bulk and Skull pulling a BigDamnHeroes.
* ShowdownAtHighNoon: Has one with Bulk and Skull. While he ultimately wipes their knowledge of learning the identities of the Rangers, they were able to reflect his beam and helped the team regain their memories.

!! Pachinko Head
!!!'''Voiced By:''' Michael Sorich
A pachinko monster created from Ernie's pachinko machine.
----
* AdaptationalNiceGuy: EXTREMELY downplayed. His original counterpart was fun-loving and mischievous as well as violent. The "violent" part was only added to Pachinko Head's resume once he transformed five of the Rangers into giant pachinko balls.
* AdaptationalWimp: His ''Dairanger'' form manages to NoSell nearly every attack from their mecha, yet in Power Rangers, he's the Red Dragon Thunderzord's equal in hand to hand combat, and the Thunder Megazord easily overpowers him (while it didn't in ''Dairanger'').
* BareFistedMonk: He uses his fists instead of having any weapons.
* DiesDifferentlyInAdaptation: Serpentara's counterpart destroyed his ''Dairanger'' counterpart. Because it would not make sense for Lord Zedd to destroy his own monster, Pachinko Head was destroyed by the Thunder Megazord instead.

!! Show Biz Monster
!!!'''Voiced By:''' Bob Papenbrook
A video camera monster created from a TV camera when the Rangers guest-starred on ''The Harvey Garvey Show''.
----
* AdaptationalVillainy: His ''Dairanger'' counterpart, Media Magician, was actually a sympathetic monster who, while initially evil, [[LoveRedeems fell in love with Rin, the Pink Ranger]]. He only fought the Rangers again, when one of the villains, Gara, [[TragicMonster killed him and brought him back as a mindless giant.]] Here he's just another MonsterOfTheWeek.
* AdaptationalWimp: Because he only appears in stock footage from a different Sentai, he never actually interacted with the rangers, not even showing his counterpart's [[TimeStandsStill pause attack]]. Most he could do was taunt them before going giant and being defeated by the Thunder Megazord.
* AdaptedOut: His human form from ''Dairanger'' was not used.
* AllThereInTheManual: His name is spelled "Show Biz Monster" as opposed to "Showbiz Monster," according to his episode's VHS box.
* CurbStompBattle: Was struck down by a single slice from the Thunder Megazord without even laying a hand on the Rangers.

!! Flame Head
!!!'''Voiced By:''' Alex Borstein
A furnace monster sent by Lord Zedd to light Angel Grove ablaze.
----
* AllThereInTheManual: His name is spelled "Flame Head" as opposed to "Flamehead," according to his episode's VHS box.
* BreathWeapon: Unsurprisingly, Flame Head could spew streams of flame from his mouth.
* OneWingedAngel: Slightly. When human-sized, he wears what looks like an Arab sheik hood that covers his face. However, when he's grown to giant size, the hood comes off, revealing a horrifying, fiery head underneath.
* PlayingWithFire: Given that he has ''flame'' in his name, this isn't surprising.
* SissyVillain: He has a female voice and acts more like a female villain than a male villain.

!! Cannontop
!!!'''Voiced By:''' John C. Hyke
A cannon monster created from a miniature cannon model belonging to Billy's cousin.
----
* {{BFG}}: Had the power to blast the Rangers into a distant dimension.
* HairTriggerTemper: May have been the cause of his poor performance. During the battle, he just gets madder and madder, which allows the Rangers to take advantage of his mistakes.
* ImperialStormtrooperMarksmanshipAcademy: Never once hit his target.

!! Bookala and Bad Bookala
[[quoteright:350:https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/tvtropes_bookala.png]]
[[caption-width-right:350:(Good) Bookala]]
[[caption-width-right:350:[[labelnote:Bad Bookala]] https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/tvtropes_badbookala_8.png [[/labelnote]]]]
!!!'''Voiced By:''' Dave Mallow (Bad Bookala)
A benevolent kabuki-themed alien in possession of a powerful diamond who crashes on Earth and his evil counterpart created by Lord Zedd after he fails to steal said diamond.
----
* AdaptedOut: The Kabuki Novice had the power to possess people and turn them into crazed Kabuki actors. Here, neither of the Bookalas are shown to be capable of such a thing.
* AdaptationalNiceGuy: The real Bookala is a lot nicer than his ''Dairanger'' counterpart, who caused chaos by possessing others and had abducted the fiancé of Yufang, Rin's grandfather. Subverted though for his evil twin.
* AliensSpeakingEnglish: Downplayed, as Bookala has to learn the language of another planet by repeating words given to it by its inhabitants. Averted with Bad Bookala, however, who speaks English right out of the gate.
* AlliterativeName: '''B'''ad '''B'''ookala.
* DecompositeCharacter: He and Weldo were actually the same monster in ''Dairanger''.
* EvilKnockoff: Bad Bookala.
* EvilSoundsDeep: Bad Bookala has a much deeper, scratchier voice.
* ExtraEyes: Bookala and Bad Bookala have the usual two eyes, as well as a third in their forehead.
* InnocentAliens: Bookala, who just wants to repair his ship and get home. Bad Bookala, not so much.
* KabukiTheatre: Downplayed. While Bookala is very clearly kabuki-themed, it isn't acknowledged or commented upon by anyone.
* LetThereBeSnow: Bookala creates a minor snowfall as a parting gift for the Rangers before leaving Earth.
* TheLoad: While nice and well-meaning enough, Bookala is not the brightest, he's slow, his large bulk hinders him more than helps (he can't even seem to be able to get through normal sized doors), and the Rangers have to spend a large amount of the episode rescuing and helping him more than anything else. He's also the only person Weldo manages to hit with his EyeBeam.
* MineralMacGuffin: A good deal of the episode revolves around fighting over Bookala's Lightning Diamond and trying to keep it out of Zedd's hands.
* MultipurposeTongue: Bad Bookala can unleash a black tendril-tongue from his mouth, which he uses to ensnare the Thunder Megazord. It quickly gets severed by the Thunder Saber.
* NonActionGuy: Bookala seems to either be a pacifist or is simply incapable of physical confrontation.
* OverlyLongTongue: Bad Bookala's aforementioned tendril-tongue. It's unknown if the real Bookala shares this ability.
* ParasolOfPrettiness: Bookala has a parsol that he carries around with him.
* PlanetOfSteves: Not only is the alien visitor named Bookala, but according to Zordon, it's the name of his home world as well.
* PowerCrystal: Bookala's Lightning Diamond, which he uses to fuel his spaceship as well as other magical uses, such as [[{{Sizeshifter}} altering his size]]. Zedd wants the Lightning Diamond in order to give Serpentera an unlimited power supply.
* PrecisionCrash: Bookala's ship is borderline crashing to Earth after narrowly escaping from Serpentera and it just so happens to land not only in Angel Grove, but in the exact same stretch of the park where Billy, Adam, and Aisha are having a picnic.
* ProtagonistTitle: "[[Recap/MightyMorphinPowerRangersS2EP36TheGreatBookalaEscape The Great Bookala Escape]]." Also doubles as an AntagonistTitle, thanks to Bad Bookala.
* {{Pun}}: Bad Bookala tells the Rangers "I now sentence you to a severe tongue-lashing!" before attacking them with his [[OverlyLongTongue extending tongue]].
* {{Sizeshifter}}: Bookala uses his Lightning Diamond to either shrink small enough to fit in his spaceship or to grow to human size.
* StrangeSyntaxSpeaker: Bookala's sentences, while coherent, aren't in proper grammatical order. "I will see you again some day" comes out as "Again see you, I some day will," etc. Bad Bookala speaks in this same manner, though not quite as strongly.
* TemptingFate: Aisha's idea to make a decoy Bookala doll. Lord Zedd is known to make monsters out of things, especially items of importance that belong to the Rangers, and she goes and makes a doll replica of an alien being. Naturally, this doll is what Zedd creates Bad Bookala out of.
* ThirdEye: Both Bookalas have one of these in their foreheads.
* TongueTrauma: Bad Bookala gets his tongue sliced off by the Thunder Saber.
* TornadoMove: Bad Bookala gets swept up in the Thunder Saber's tornado attack.
* TrueFinalBoss: After Weldo is destroyed by the Rangers, Bad Bookala ends up being this, going on to fight the Thunder Zords.
* WeatherManipulation: Bookala apparently possesses this ability, as he makes it snow for the Rangers (as Billy had earlier lamented that it never snows in Angel Grove) before bidding them farewell. Bad Bookala seems to have not inherited this ability.

!! Weldo
[[quoteright:350:https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/tvtropes_weldo.png]]
!!!'''Voiced By:''' Eddie Frierson
A robot monster looking to steal Bookala's Lightning Diamond from the Rangers, presumably for Lord Zedd.
----
* DecompositeCharacter: He and Bookala were actually the same monster in ''Dairanger''.
* {{Determinator}}: He chases the Rangers and Bookala relentlessly in search of the latter's Lightning Diamond.
* DiscOneFinalBoss: He appears to be the main threat of the episode when he first appears, but he's quickly killed off and replaced by Goldar and Bad Bookala.
* EyeBeams: He can fire a purple laser from his single eye.
* GratuitousEnglish: Both his forearms read "T-[=RW2=]."
* MysteriousPast: There's no scene of Zedd deciding to create Weldo, the monster just ''appears'', with the only reason to assume he's created by Zedd is because ''where else'' would he have come from? Furthermore, his creation is heralded by ''yellow'' lightning (as opposed to Zedd's usual white), and while his name and mechanical nature seem to imply he was created out of Billy's welding torch, we don't even see Zedd's magic transforming the tool into the monster.
* OneHitKill: Billy destroys Weldo with his Blade Blaster, something never done to any other non-Putty enemy before or since.
* OneHitPointWonder: His eye beam packs a punch, but he dies from a single shot from Billy's sidearm.
* PunnyName: A combination of "welding" and "Waldo."
* RedEyesTakeWarning: He has a single red eye (the right one) with three light-up dots in it.
* RoaringRampageOfRevenge: Billy delivers the fatal shot to Weldo in retaliation for him blasting Bookala.
* RobotHair: Despite looking otherwise completely mechanical, Weldo wears a white kabuki wig on his head.
* TrickBoss: At first it seems as if Weldo will be the episode's MonsterOfTheWeek, but then he's taken out by Billy's Blade Blaster a few minutes later.
* TriggerHappy: He fires his eye beam ''incessantly'' inside Billy's garage.
* WeHardlyKnewYe: We don't see Zedd create him, he doesn't fight the Rangers, he dies in one hit, and we don't see Zedd get angry over his destruction.

!! Jaws of Destruction
!!!'''Voiced By:''' Chuck Kovacic
A saw monster created from a woodshop buzzsaw from Angel Grove High
----
* AdaptationalWimp: In ''Dairanger'', Archbishop Saw was a PerilousOldFool who was the second-in-command, outranking Shadam, and gave Ryo a really brutal beating before Chouryo betrayed him. Here, the Jaws of Destruction is easily killed by the Thunder Megazord. While he was the first monster to be killed by Dairenoh, his advanced age meant his reflexes and strength weren't what they used to be, his ''Power Rangers'' counterpart was introduced after the Megazord fought and defeated many other monsters.
* AdaptedOut: His human form from ''Dairanger'' was not used.
* CurbStompBattle: For all he stands around talking about how he'll defeat the Rangers, the megazord just sort of stands there. When he actually attacks, it destroys him in one stroke.
* DualWielding: Wields two giant saw blades.
* InformedAbility: Zordon said that he was one of Zedd's most dangerous monsters sent to finish them off once and for all. It turns out to be a ho-hum Megazord battle.

!! Tube Monster
!!!'''Voiced By:''' Brad Orchard
An inner tube monster created from Bulk and Skull's rubber ring.
----
* AdaptationalEarlyAppearance: He's the ''last'' monster seen in ''Dairanger'' (in the DistantFinale).
* CombatTentacles: As with Pipebrain, he has one on his left arm.
* CurbStompBattle: On the receiving end, the Thunder Megazord proved to be the strongest of the two.
* PaletteSwap: He's a blue and white recolor of Pipebrain. Notable as this was also the case in ''Dairanger''.

!! Photomare
!!!'''Voiced By:''' Creator/KirkThornton
A camera monster created from an instant camera.
----
* AdaptedOut: Her human form from ''Dairanger'' was not used.
* MagicalCamera: She was able to trap the child-Rangers in photos taken from her camera briefly.
* PowerCopying: Made a copy of the Red Dragon Thunderzord Warrior mode during the Megazord fight.
* VocalDissonance: She is addressed with female pronouns in-series [[ViewerGenderConfusion but is voiced by a man]].

!! Wizard of Deception
!!!'''Voiced By:''' Tony Oliver
A time-travelling sorcerer summoned on Rita's behalf. He creates a clone of Tommy with Green Ranger powers.
----
* BigNo: His final words when Tommy takes him out with his own wand.
* InformedAbility: Said to be Zordon's old rival but is taken out by his own wand.
* OffTheShelfFX: Clearly made from a department store Halloween costume. His wand is clearly a cheap piece of plastic.
* OriginalGeneration: He does not exist in ''Dairanger'', where Season 2 got most of its source footage from.

!! Rat Monsters
A mob of mutant rats created by the Wizard of Deception to attack colonial-era Angel Grove.
----
* CurbStompBattle: While they scared the colonists, the Power Rangers handled them with no problem. Did the Wizard of Deception really think that a few mook-level rat monsters would be able to take out a group of superheroes who see putties as a minor annoyance?
** Subverted when Billy states that fight them while unmorphed may be a bad idea.
* ScrewThisImOuttaHere: When the White Ranger arrived to take the other Rangers back to the future, the rat monsters briefly scuttered away.

!! Snow Monster
!!!'''Voiced By:''' Gardner Baldwin
A yeti monster from the storybook ''Grumble the Magic Elf'' who attacks those trespassing his mountain valley.
----
* HoistByHisOwnPetard: Causes an avalanche, ends up getting crushed by it.

!! Turkey Jerk
A turkey monster created by Bulk and Skull in their latest scheme to uncover the Power Rangers' secret identities, only to be brought to life by Lord Zedd.
----
* AllThereInTheManual: His name is spelled "Turkey Jerk" as opposed to "Turkeyjerk," according to his episode's VHS box.
* IdiotBall: Not on his part, but rather Bulk and Skull's; he thought they were his parents. They could have turned him away from evil and made him good had they not been freaked out by his appearance.
* ImprobableWeaponUser: Wields a laser turkey baster and a cranberry branch that explodes.
* OriginalGeneration: He's a wholly ''Power Rangers'' original monster, created out of a very heavily altered Chunky Chicken suit.

!! Mondo the Magician
!!!'''Portrayed By:''' Rintaro Nishi
!!!'''Voiced By:''' Mike Reynolds
An evil sorcerer and old friend of Rita Repulsa trapped inside the "Grumble the Magic Elf" storybook.
----
* AdaptedOut: His human form from ''Dairanger'' was not used.
* AdaptationalWimp:
** Shadam was ''the'' BigBad of ''Dairanger'' (or at least, the final boss). This guy's just a monster of the week.
** He was winning in ''Dairanger'''s battle but never fought Dairenoh. Here, he was taken out by the Thunder Megazord, though it did take two finishing strikes.
* AlliterativeName: '''M'''ondo the '''M'''agician.
* AmbiguouslyHuman: He may be a human as he looks like a metal-covered person, but considering his ''Dairanger'' human form was never seen, it's hard to tell.
* DemotedToExtra: His ''Dairanger'' counterpart was the main villain.
* DiesDifferentlyInAdaptation: Two finishers from the Thunder Megazord take down Mondo. His counterpart Shadam had a more... [[BodyHorror horrifying death]].
* NobleDemon: Downplayed. While most monsters continue attacking when the zords are down, he waits for them to get back up to resume fighting.
* OneSteveLimit: Shares the same name as the ruler of the [[Series/PowerRangersZeo Machine Empire]].
* SealedEvilInACan: He was trapped inside the "Grumble the Magic Elf" storybook, and while he was briefly let out by Rita, he was sent back after the Rangers defeated him.

!! Needlenose
!!!'''Voiced By:''' Tony Oliver
A Mexican-accented cactus monster created from a rare species of cactus. He was sent alongside Goldar to the year 1880 when Angel Grove was a Wild West town.
----
* AlliterativeName: '''N'''eedle'''n'''ose.
* TheParalyzer: Used poison needles to paralyze the Rangers.
* PlantAliens: He's a plant-themed creature.

!! Vase Face
!!!'''Voiced By:''' Brianne Siddall
A ceramic monster created from a clay sculpture Tommy made in art class.
----
* AdaptationalLateAppearance: His counterpart was one of the earlier monsters in ''Dairanger''. Here, he's the monster of the season 2 finale and is the last of the ''Dairanger'' monsters to appear.
* AdaptedOut: His ''Dairanger'' counterpart had puppets of himself to make the Ranger's fight them instead of himself. However, they were never used in ''Power Rangers''.
* CombatTentacles: He could summon a clay like tentacles to trap the Thunder Megazord.
