* OmnidisciplinaryScientist: Mainly builds and programs robots, but apparently things like making blasters and other weapons come with the course.

* ReplacementGoldfish: Blues leaving him hit pretty hard, and he created Rock and Roll soon after. However, ultimately subverted in that he loves them just as much as he does his original "son".

* MyGodWhatHaveIDone:[[spoiler: His reaction when he accidentally shoots Roll and sees the destruction wrought by Ra Moon's EMP pulse.]]

* OptOut: [[spoiler: Tried to anyway, he got sick of Wily's plans which put the world in danger one occasion and the final straw for him seeing that he was now resorting to kidnapping a former colleagues daughter. But Wily strong arms him back into his service by mentioning the nuculer core in him that could blow up at any time and take innocent lives in the process if Blues didn't come to Wily for maintenance every now and then.]]

* HeelRealization: [[spoiler: Upon seeing the lengths Wily will go for his plans, including using him, kidnapping an innocent girl and forcing her father to be his patsy for purely petty reasons. Blues realizes his mistake in helping Wily and re-christens himself Proto-Man, vowing to stop Wily's plans from behind the shadows.]]

* DangerouslyGenreSavvy: With the ''VideoGame/MegaMan2'' Robot Masters, he clearly realized that Mega Man winning was a viable possibility, so he installed malware in each of them that would slowly corrupt Mega Man when he copied their weapon data.

* DangerouslyGenreSavvy: The Spears take advantage of the ThreeLawsOfRobotics during their assault on the A.R.T.S. convention. Ultimately subverted though, as they didn't take into account the robots could use non-harmful means to stop them [[spoiler:as well as a loophole in the laws.]]

* GenreSavvy: Understands how BossBanter often leads to heroes knowing too much about villainous plans, and forces Bubble Man to stop bantering.

* BearHug: Greets Dr. Cossack with one, ''[[StrongerThanTheyLook lifting him bodily off the ground with ease]]''.

* StopHelpingMe: Provides an in-universe example in issue #18's back-up story, when he's assigned to help Ice Man in studying the movement of a glacier... and instantly decides that means they have to ''stop'' said glacier by beating it into submission and holding it back. Needless to say, Ice Man isn't happy about this.

* StrongerThanTheyLook: Pulls a bus back up a cliff in one panel. [[JustifiedTrope Justified]] in that he's a robot.

* WeCouldHaveAvoidedAllThis: The real tragedy of Blues' situation is that Wily is ultimately able to ''repair his power core'' without removing Blues' sense of self, thus proving his and Dr. Light's fears both wrong. Of course, the question of whether or not they had the ability to do so at first is left unanswered.

* AntiAntiChrist: [[spoiler: Dr. Wily's magnum opus, who fights for humanity and is best friends with X]]

* PoorCommunicationKills: Dr. Light was never serious about "rewriting his rebellious streak" or changing his personality, but Blues assumed he was and decided to run away.

* RidiculouslyHumanRobot: Built to resemble and act like a child. Aside from his boots, he's virtually indistinguishable from one. He can feel hot and cold, display emotions, make many of his own decisions, and even drink beverages in the form of E-Cans. The only other thing that would tip one off to his true nature as a robot (aside from his robot abilities) is the fact that he's bound by Asimov's Three Laws of Robotics. If you asked him to hit a human, even playfully, he would be unable to do it.

** In issue 55 [[spoiler: He clamins the nuculer core within Blues could potentially blow up and take out a crowded area if he didn't keep coming to Wily to get it maintenance. But Blues finds out from Dr. Lalinde that the core has a casing around it, meaning Wily was lying about that and really the only thing it'll "kill" is Blues if it burns out. Seems Wily is still sticking to his "Not Being a Monster" credo.]]

* LastEpsiodeNewChaarcter: Close. She premiered in issue 54 of 55, one issue before the comic's hiatus.

A bee robot based off of a scrapped Lightbot to serve as Tempo's younger sister in the hopes of rekindling her emotions.
