* BravingTheBlizzard: Starts out the game walking to his local pharmacy to pick up his medication during a snow storm. While he makes it there, the way back home is what pushes him into detouring to the library.
* CruelAndUnusualDeath: As the playable character, most of the death scenes involve Mitch experiencing a variety of these.
* DeadAllAlong: The first two endings reveal that Mitch never made it to the library and is actually dying in the snow.

* BigBad: She set the library up as a puzzle game to try convince Mitch to be friends with her again. Him dying would just mean they would be together forever.
* BitchInSheepsClothing: While alive, Jackie was Mitch's best friend and was even trusted to be the first person he came out to. She however used this information to out Mitch by force and create rumors about to the point he attempted to hang himself in the boys' locker room.
* BodyHorror: Jackie appears as a rotting corpse attached to pieces of scrap metal. Her chest is cut open resembling a disecction.
* DeadAllAlong: The final chat room conversation memory with her reveals that she was killed in a hit and run when she was seventeen.

* FromNobodyToNightmare: Started as an ordinary teenage girl before being killed and turned into a monster forever thinking about her old friend.
