A spider who serves as the main chaser of the game.

* AdaptationalVillainy: This version of Red's grandmother is an abusive GruesomeGrandparent who blames Bonnie for her family all dying or vanishing, and is eventually transformed into a spider monster who continues trying to kill Bonnie.
* AssholeVictim: After all the abuse she put her granddaughter Bonnie through, she got killed by Hunter right before she herself was about to kill Bonnie with an ax. While this act serves as Hunter's StartOfDarkness, it nevertheless comes off as deserved.
* TheDragon: She is the Parallel's main servant who it lets loose on Bonnie at several points.
* GiantSpider: Her form in the Parallel.
* GruesomeGrandparent: She forced Bonnie to work delivery, repeatedly guilt-tripped her, did things like making her go without dinner and locking her outside the house in the rain as punishments, and left her with a lot of trauma as a result.
* KarmicTransformation: She became the savage beast she was to her granddaughter.
* LoveMakesYouEvil: Abused Bonnie because she blamed her for the deaths of her daughter and husband.
* MaternalDeathBlameTheChild: The reason she abused Bonnie is because her birth killed the mother, her daughter Angelique.
* TroubledAbuser: She pretty much suffered from losing her husband and daughter as much as her granddaughter suffered from her back then.

A sentient dimension that feasts on the despair of lost souls.

* BigBad: It is the dimension that trapped Bonnie and several others inside itself to devour them.
* GeniusLoci: The Parallel is a sentient dimension that traps people inside it to eat their souls.
* KarmaHoudini: In all endings, it remains out there, still dragging people into its dimension to feast on their souls.
* PragmaticVillainy: In the GoldenEnding, it is willing to let Bonnie and Hunter go like it did for an unnamed soul in the past because they came to terms with their traumatic past, and as a result their souls now taste disgusting to it.
* {{Sadist}}: It feasts on miserable souls and so tries to make its victims suffer. With Bonnie, it makes her do a puzzle based on her family's horrible breakdown that started when she was born and [[DeathByChildbirth killed her mother]].
* VillainousBreakdown: At the end of the final area, it sends the Wolf Spider after Bonnie and Hunter while leaving angry messages on the wall about how they “ruined” its SadisticChoice puzzle. The next time we meet it in the GoldenEnding, it has been utterly defeated and let’s them go since their souls no longer taste good.

* StoryBreadcrumbs: Her and Garbage Gary's story is hinted through one of the "Who Died First" puzzles.
* VanityIsFeminine: Is very vain and obsessed with her appearance, always looking at her reflection.

Three humanoid men with hats for heads that are having a fancy dinner. In truth they're Mr. Red, Mr. Blue and Mr. Yellow, three roommates who died and whose souls got trapped in the Parallel.

* AccidentalMurder: How Mr. Yellow died.
* TheHedonist: Mr. Blue spent his time gambling and womanizing, which resulted in his death. He continues to do so as Fedora.
* DisproportionateRetribution: Mr. Blue spent all their life savings on gambling. Mr. Red's reaction? Cut his body with a chainsaw!
* StoryBreadcrumbs: Their story is hinted through one of the "Who Died First" puzzles.
* TokenGoodTeammate: Bowler is probably the nicest of the trio because he's not a hedonist (Fedora) nor a snob (Top Hat).

* RoseHairedSweetie: She had pink hair and was a sweet girl who wanted to help people.
* UnwittingInstigatorOfDoom: She wanted to enter the Parallel and transform it into a HappyPlace for misfits, which caused her death, Maia's transformation and the Parallel dragging many others into its clutches.
