The King of Scorpions is as impatient as he’s dramatic, evil and short-tempered. He wants to rule everything NOW! He controls his minions using his hypnotic sting or the force of his unpleasant personality!

* HistoryRepeats: [[spoiler:After Laval gives him a orb of CHI, he's so thrown off by the gesture that, blaming chi for all the problems the Dark Tribes, swears off using it forever and throws the orb down a chasm like Laval did with the chi that created the Dark Tribes, and awakens the Ice Hunters]].

!Ice Clan

Leader of the Sabre-Tooth Tiger Tribe, he was the first of the Ice Clan to be thawed out by the CHI Scorm threw into the cavern. He is the leader of the Ice Clan.

* ParentalFavoritism: She clearly favors Mungus over Mottrot, to the point where she requests for Mottrot give up his chi to help revive Mungus (some more chi gets dropped into their hole, though).

* FantasticRacism: Initially held some disdain for the "ground-born" species of Chima. When Laval, Cragger, and Eris first meet him, Fluminox immediately allows Eris to get Fire Chi, but forces Laval and Cragger to further prove themselves worthy.

* HonorBeforeReason: [[spoiler:He didn't reveal that Crominus tricked him because if he had the tribes would have gone to war, with his love Crunket being caught up in it.]]

The closest thing to leaders for the animal tribes. The first to drink from the Chi pool and be evolved by it, they built their Lion Temple around the Sacred Pool and took it upon themselves to ensure a balanced distribution of Chi to all the animal tribes.

The prince of the Lion tribe. He was formerly best friends with Cragger until the major conflicts began when he unwittingly helped his buddy sample Chi power before he was ready, leading to the Crocodiles coming into open conflict with the Lions.

* BeleagueredBoss: Temporarily, when [[spoiler:Lagravis is captured and Laval has to take charge of the Lion tribe in his place]].

* HonorBeforeReason: Despite his father and the Elder Council knowing that Laval had very good reasons to [[spoiler:steal an orb of Golden Chi, Laval insists on exile for breaking one of the rules of his tribe.]]

** If he didn't drop the Crocodile chi into the Gorge of Eternal Depth, [[spoiler:the Dark Tribes would never have been created]].

* TheGoodKing: He keeps order in Chima and makes sure all tribes get their Chi.
* HonorBeforeReason: Insists that Chi must be distributed evenly and fairly, even to hostile tribes. Justified in that the environment gets a little... uppity if said Chi isn't distributed thus. It's subverted later on with [[spoiler:Laval's exile. He knows that Laval had a good reason to steal the Golden CHI orb (it was the only way to get his friends away from the Fog of Destiny), and was willing to bend the rules for him, and manages to convince him to temporarily get out of his exile to fend off the Crocs.]]

A lion guard notable for his complete inability to multitask. Despite this, he is often seen at King Lagravis' side.

A lion exiled from Chima for reasons that are initially unexplained, he has survived in the Outlands for years prior to the events of the series. Eventually, Laval and the others find him, and take shelter in his home.

* AnimalEyes: Averted; He is the only lion who has round pupils. All the other lions have slit pupils.

A lioness who was raised by Tormak of the Tiger Tribe.

* TheSmurfettePrinciple: She is the only female lion in the entire show. In the toyline, there is at least one other currently unnamed lioness.

Living in the swamp, they are the Lions' greatest rivals. The tension between the two tribes escalates into open war after Cragger takes a Chi sample before he's ready.

Prince of the Crocodiles, elevated to king after his parents' went missing.

* CoolHelmet: He wore a golden helmet which obscured his face after being crowned king of the crocodiles (which his father also wore before him).

* FreudianExcuse: Despite being the first born, she was neglected by her parents in favor of Cragger, who was thought to have died while he was an egg. She tried to help Cragger, but ended up making things worse, resulting in her feeling unwanted, and waiting for an opportunity to take control of the tribe.

* TheResenter: She resents both her parents and Cragger for denying her what she feels is her rightful place as heir to the crocodiles.

* MrExposition: He informs the lions on the Hundred Year Moon and what it will do to the wolves.

* NotSoStoic: He briefly shows concern for Windra when her copter crashes at the end of "The Chi Jackers".

* DarkIsEvil: A savage wolf with dark black fur.

* CuteLittleFangs: He is a young wolf who has short fangs sticking out his mouth.
* EarlyInstallmentCharacterDesignDifference: Wonald’s first appearance was actually in a book titled ''LEGO Legends of Chima: Beware of the Wolves'', a book made up of short stories related to the wolves of Chima. In one of the stories, Wonald is the main character, but looks different from his tv show counterpart by having lighter fur and a gray outfit instead of dark gray fur and a red outfit.

* EvilCannotComprehendGood: He was utterly confused by Laval actually giving him some Chi after the Dark Tribes' defeat, eventually coming to the conclusion that Laval only did it to mock him.
