* OneDegreeOfSeparation: Teshigawara Hoshiko, Tenjouin Ryouko, Toujouin Homare and Karisu Masa are all friends who go out to lunch together in Chapter 367, despite each of them only having one or two appearances in the whole series up to this point, some hundreds of chapters apart. And then Sutejijuku Ren, who is sitting next to them, ends up joining them.

** Mrs. Idou Nakera becomes so flustered when she sees the beauty of Komi at their bus that her expert routine is derailed.

** Anchi Arisa criticises everyone she comes across, but quickly deflates when complimented, to the point that her vocabulary starts declining. Chiarai focuses on this point in his delusion of her in Chapter 254.

* YuriFan: Sukida Lili is a fan of the yuri genre and ships Yamai with Nakanaka.

A restauranteur and the ramen cook of the prestigous Darou shop, the shopkeeper is an intimidating man at first glance, but like Komi, has a severe communication disorder.

* MirrorCharacter: He has the same communication disorder as Komi, and is quick to notice it when she visits the shop. To the point he puts more effort into making the ramen he serves to her beautiful.

* PetTheDog: They are so thankful towards Komi (though it was Agari who gave them a favorable review), that they cover their shop with Komi's fliers.

* PunnyName: Karisu Masa is a pun on "charisma", while Arai Kamiko means "wash girl". Even the shop's name is a pun of the word "Beauty"
* SenpaiKohai: Arai is Karisu's understudy, and she harbors a great admiration towards her, as her goal is to become a charismatic beautician just like her.
* TheStoic: Karisu is quiet, professional and collected.
