He reappears in ''Dream Drop Distance'' as the main antagonist, and is described as a being travelling worlds that causes beings of darkness to manifest in his wake. Unsurprisingly, he turns out to be another incarnation of Xehanort, working on another scheme to seize power.
Another "Unknown" is a BonusBoss in ''Kingdom Hearts Final Mix'', and is [[ChekhovsGunman eventually revealed]] to be Xemnas. This section, however, only refers to the ''Birth by Sleep''/''3D'' character.

An enigmatic figure who appears out of thin air in ''Birth By Sleep'' to challenge the heroes in the Land of Departure as a BonusBoss. The Unknown's identity is [[ExactlyWhatItSaysOnTheTin completely unknown]] -- [[TheQuietOne he doesn't say a word]], and even the Keyblade he drops upon defeat is simply named "No Name". Despite the seemingly [[BigLippedAlligatorMoment random]] encounter, WordOfGod confirms that his battle with one of the trio is canon.
He reappears in ''Dream Drop Distance'' as the main antagonist, and is described as a being travelling worlds that causes beings of darkness to manifest in his wake. Unsurprisingly, he turns out to be another incarnation of Xehanort, working on another scheme to seize power.
Another "Unknown" is a BonusBoss in ''Kingdom Hearts Final Mix'', and is [[ChekhovsGunman eventually revealed]] to be Xemnas. This section, however, only refers to the ''Birth by Sleep''/''3D'' character.
