Shiki makes almost no use of modern conveniences except for refrigeration and electric light, almost never even answers her telephone, wears traditional clothing whenever possible, seems most comfortable in Touko's ancient, run-down office, and is utterly disgusted by drugs and casual sex (though she seems to feel that it's okay to be gay, since she questions Tomoe's sexuality in a completely neutral manner).
