* BadGuysDoTheDirtyWork: While Azu's StupidEvil tendencies made her an ineffective villain in the long term, Lyon undoubtedly did the world a favor by killing her.

** He deconstructs Azu's StupidEvil tendencies and plan to spread more malice by pointing out that her plans will always falter because hate is an emotion that quickly fizzles out, whereas those with deeply held principles tend to be much more motivated. Right before snatching her drive to use for his own plan and having her shot in the head.

** Gai corrupted the Ark with malice and exploited it and [=MetsubouJinrai.net=] for his own ends. Lyon outright rejects Azu's influence and has her killed, finding her malice to be too StupidEvil to be effective and favoring justice instead.

* BewareTheSillyOnes: Compared to the other villains of ''Zero-One'', Lyon is an upbeat enemy having fun openly taunting and mocking his opponents. This is the same man that [[spoiler: demolishes The Ark's MouthOfSauron and creates a scarier MechanicalAbomination in less than twenty minutes of real time]].

* FantasticRacism: He believes that the best role for Humagears are "soldiers" and plans to mass-produce and sell them, essentially putting him around Yua's initial view of Humagears as "tools used by humanity".

* ReplacementFlatCharacter: A BigBad who holds a high position in ZAIA Enterprise whose someway is connected to the creation of the Ark, and his plans involve manufacturing a conflict involving Humagears in order to make profit selling weapons, who also uses the Thousandriver to transform into a Kamen Rider? He's essentially Gai as he was originally introduced, though he's a lot more [[AffablyEvil friendly]] and less [[KickTheDog needlessly evil]] than Gai was. [[spoiler:Even his death basically comes from being beaten up by someone he gave a power-up to as part of their plans, like how Gai's plans with Zero-One [=MetalCluster=] Hopper and Vulcan Rampage ended for him.]]

** During AIMS's press conference, Lyon correctly points out that AIMS having a [=MetsubouJinrai.net=] member on their team may skew their understanding of the situation,and that even if freed Humagears can still be influenced to harm humans, as even ''Series/KamenRiderZeroOne'' itself showed. He also implicitly alludes to the fact that Fuwa and Yaiba chose to ally with a murderous terrorist instead of punishing him. No wonder he was able to get [[VillainWithGoodPublicity the public on his side]].
