** Delivers an absolutely brutal beating to Horobi as Ark-One in retaliation for him killing Is.
** He later beats up Orthus Vulcan after Fuwa offers him NoSympathy for Is's death and tells him not to fight Horobi, who vengeance aside was on the verge of leading a crusade to wipe out humanity.

* {{Hammerspace}}: What Hopping Kangaroo grants Zero-One, allowing him to literally pull a Humagear from the pocket on his chest to pull a CombinationAttack on his opponent.

* BrokenPedestal: The entire reason Aruto's vengenful crusade is such a problem in the first place. Having spent the entire show championing the cause of HumaGears even when everyone else turned on them, Aruto embracing the power of Ark and giving into his negativity risks losing all the goodwill the good guys had built up all show, since it potentially proves Horobi's point that even the greatest of humans is not immune to hatred and if Aruto Hiden will throw everything away for the sake of vengence on one of them then no human can be trusted and risks causing the whole war Horobi's trying to start in the first place.

* HundredPercentAdorationRating: In #16, the higher-ups of Hiden convene to determine whether or not to remove Aruto as President. When they vote for Aruto's removal, ''no one other than Jun raises his hand.'' It also speaks volumes about the executive board when after [[spoiler:ZAIA buys out Hiden Intelligence]], most of them resigned instead of choosing to be demoted. Sanzo even asked Aruto to reconsider leaving the company and instead work as a lower-ranking member. Notably, even a large number of the ''villains'' have respect for him.

* AuthorityEqualsAsskicking: Only the CEO of Hiden Intelligence can don the Zero-One suit, and Aruto does more than his fair share of beating down opponents from day one.

* KickTheDog: The Fifth Round of the Workplace Competition ''really'' puts Aruto down in any way it can. [[spoiler:Not only does MC Check It Out's anger and donning the [=ZetsumeRiser=] of his own free will result in the public losing all trust in Hiden Intelligence, but Gai manages to win the round and take over Hiden Intelligence. Following this is Gai's decision to scrap all [=HumaGear=] currently in use.]] All of this, right when Aruto was a hair's width away from saving his company. Just ''owch.''

* AnimalMotif: Each of Zero-One's Progrise Keys is named for the ability it grants and the animal motif of the resulting form. So far these include:
** BigCreepyCrawlies: Rising Hopper, Shining Hopper, Shining Assault Hopper, and Metal Cluster Hopper are all based on the grasshopper. [=MetalCluster=] Hopper is more specifically based on species of grasshoppers that [[TheSwarm swarm]] known as locusts. Gai specifically had the [=MetalCluster=] Hopper Progrise Key designed with this trope in mind.
** ThreateningShark: Biting Shark, based on the shark.
** NobleBirdOfPrey: Flying Falcon, based on the falcon.
** PantheraAwesome: Flaming Tiger, based on the tiger.
** BearsAreBadNews: Freezing Bear, based on the polar bear.
** MammothsMeanIceAge: Breaking Mammoth, based on the mammoth.
** BoxingKangaroo: Hopping Kangaroo, based on the kangaroo.

* AdvertisedExtra: Flying Falcon form, which was the first additional form advertised and released in the toyline and the one used in Aruto's early appearance in the Zio film. In the show proper it gets used twice, and then the key is stolen and used by Jin for the entirety of the rest of the first quarter. By the time it's retrieved the initial element forms are completely outdated in the face of Shining Hopper and then Metal Cluster Hopper so it's used one final time so Thouser can take it's data and then never touched again for a total of 3 uses in the entire show.

** BigCreepyCrawlies: Rising Hopper, Shining Hopper, Shining Assault Hopper, and Metal Cluster Hopper are all based on the grasshopper.
*** TheSwarm: [=MetalCluster=] Hopper is more specifically based on species of grasshoppers that swarm known as locusts. Gai specifically had the [=MetalCluster=] Hopper Progrise Key designed with this trope in mind.

* TheBerserker: When first used, [=MetalCluster=] Hopper is under the direct control of the Ark, [[WeaponWieldsYou which puppeteers Aruto while he struggles against it]]. Aruto's resistance doesn't mean much due to the abilities of the form, since the Ark prefers to attack by using the swarm of locusts that form the suit rather than with physical blows. The result is an unusual case of a berserker form that doesn't have to ''move'' to slaughter everything around it with brutal efficiency. On later uses of the form prior to its severance from the Ark, the Ark ''does'' opt for moving around, in a style that would be right at home in ''Film/TheShining''.

** When using Shining Hopper or Shining Assault Hopper, Zero-One wields the Authorise Buster, an [[AnAxeToGrind axe]] and [[MixAndMatchWeapon blaster]] weapon.

* WeaponOfChoice: Each of Zero-One's major forms has a weapon associated with it, though he can use the weapons in other forms if he wants:

* InvoluntaryTransformation: How Zero-One obtained [=MetalCluster=] Hopper. Gai forcibly inserts the Progrise Key into the Zero-One Driver, which also proceeds to hijack his consciousness and turn him into TheBerserker.

* SuperMode: Despite being counted as a separate Rider, Zero-Two is still considered as Zero-One's Final Form since it follows most tropes common with it, such as appearing in either 2nd half or last third/quarter of the series and usually, the strongest in the user's arsenal in the TV series. It's reinforced with [[Series/KamenRiderDecade Decade ]] [[Series/KamenRiderZiO Complete Form 21]] having Zero-Two as the Final Form card[[note]]The primary criteria of which form is considered the Final Form, with capital F, is generally the toys, primarily the form's TransformationTrinket being released in the show's final quarter and being interactable with the primary DX belt. Though the Zero-Two Driver is treated as a separate belt in-universe, it really is just the Zero-One Driver with an attachment plate that was originally released as a separate add-on along with the Zero-Two Progrise Key. Thus, Ark One below is not treated as Zero-One's official Final Form, as 1) it is a Premium Bandai item released months ''after'' the end of the show, thus it isn't necessarily merchandise for the kids anyway, and 2) it actually is a separate belt that has no interaction with the base Zero-One Driver.[[/note]].

* SuperMode: Despite being counted as a separate Rider, Zero-Two is still considered as Zero-One's Final Form since it follows most tropes common with it, such as appearing in either 2nd half or last third/quarter of the series and usually, the strongest in the user's arsenal in the TV series. ** Hellrising Hopper is [[UpToEleven even worse in this regard]]; Aruto experiences agonizing pain when using it due to the negative emotions saturating the Progrisekey, a more amplified version of the stress he undergoes as Ark-One. It causes him to attack Kamen Rider Eden with vicious brutality, and he is only stopped from using a FinishingMove on Eden [[spoiler:thanks to Is's intervention.]]

* SuperSpeed: When using the Rising Impact finisher in Rising Hopper form, Zero-One gains a temporary speed boost to perform the Rider Kick finisher in rapid motion. When using Shining Hopper form, Zero-One is given a permanent speed boost that he can use freely and he goes even ''[[UpToEleven faster]]'' when using the Shining/Shining Mega Impact finisher. Once Shining Assault Hopper is fully powered up, Zero-One's speed cranks up '''''even further!'''''

* PainfulTransformation: Aruto screams and contorts in agony when he changes into this form.

On a meta level, Sougo was the final Rider of the Heisei era while Aruto is the first of the Reiwa era, and in-series, they are also completely different: Sougo was a high schooler with an absurd dream to become a king which ulimately is within his power, while Aruto is an adult with a modest dream of "making people smile" that he isn't skilled enough to pull off via his chosen profession (comedy), though he is able to succeed once he changes his focus. [[spoiler:They also both utilize evil powers at the end of their respective stories (Oma Zi-O for Sougo and Ark-One for Aruto), but while Sougo used Oma Zi-O to kill the BigBad and repair all the damage caused to the timeline, Aruto discarded Ark-One's power and utilized a stronger version of his base form to defeat Horobi without destroying him.]]

* OOCIsSeriousBusiness: After his gigantic HeroicBSOD in #42, Aruto drops the cheerful persona he's had for most of the series, opting for a cold, vengeful outlook after Is's death. He even gives an unsettling DeathGlare after he detransforms from Ark-One, and it only gets worse from there as his fighting style slowly degenerates into unrefined brutality.
