-->''There's only one person who can stop you, and that's me!''

The protagonist of ''Zero-One'', as well as the titular Rider. Aruto Hiden is a 22-year old kind-hearted failed comedian who is suddenly named the President of Hiden Intelligence and receives the authority to transform into Kamen Rider Zero-One following the passing of his grandfather. After losing his inherited position, Aruto goes on to start his own company, Hiden Manufacturing. He eventually resumes presidency of Hiden Intelligence to reinitiate [=HumaGear=] production in order to assist humanity's recovery and counteract the Ark's destruction.

[[folder:General Tropes]]
* HundredPercentAdorationRating: In Episode 16, the higher-ups of Hiden convene to determine whether or not to remove Aruto as President. When they vote for Aruto's removal, ''no one other than Jun raises his hand.'' It also speaks volumes about the executive board when after [[spoiler:ZAIA buys out Hiden Intelligence]], most of them resigned instead of choosing to be demoted. Sanzo even asked Aruto to reconsider leaving the company and instead work as a lower-ranking member. Notably, even a large number of the ''villains'' have respect for him.
* {{Adorkable}}: He is a Kamen Rider, but he also aspires to become a comedian. Sadly, no one laughs at his quips. Even in the world of business, he's not afraid of cracking some jokes and goofing around. The first thing he does in his grandfather's room is to fiddle around with all of the decorations and machinery in there out of excitement. He also playfully calling his Progrise Keys with some kind of AffectionateNickname (for example, he refers Flaming Tiger Key as "kitty").
* AFatherToHisMen: Or, [=HumaGear=], which he also sees as equals to mankind in society. Aruto constantly asserts nothing but good faith and optimism in them and salvaging the destroyed body of 119nosuke, even if his memory can be restored on Zea's memory bank and uploaded to a new body. When ZAIA Enterprise bought Hiden Intelligence, Aruto spent two episodes salvaging a discarded [=HumaGear=] to be repaired in Hiden Manufacturing and greeted it with pure joy upon its activation.
* AllLovingHero: Whether human or [=HumaGear=], Aruto cares about everyone and only wishes for everyone to be happy. [[spoiler:Sadly, it suddenly became deconstructed and averted as of #42 after Horobi killed Is, causing him to become the new Ark to satiate his desire for revenge towards Horobi]].
* AndIMustScream: Unlike previous berserker forms such as [[Series/KamenRiderW [=FangJoker=]]], [[Series/KamenRiderOOO [=PuToTyra=]]], or [[Series/KamenRiderBuild [=Hazard=]]], Aruto is ''fully'' aware of what is happening as his body is being possessed while in [=MetalCluster=] Hopper but is utterly powerless to do anything to stop the Ark from wreaking havoc on all in its way. With the Progrise Hopper Blade made from gathering data from several [=HumaGears=] he knew well, including Is, Aruto fights off the Ark's corruption, and then gets teleported into Zea, freeing him and averting this trope.
* AndroidsArePeopleToo: He is a fervent believer of this, due to being raised and saved by his [=HumaGear=] father, and thus [[AllLovingHero works to save both humans and [=HumaGears=] alike]].
* AuthorityEqualsAsskicking: Only the CEO of Hiden Intelligence can don the Zero-One suit, and Aruto does more than his fair share of beating down opponents from day one.
* BadassInANiceSuit: After he's named the new CEO of Hiden Intelligence, he starts wearing a suit… [[PlayingWithATrope over his hoodie, showing his lack of professionalism]]. When he does do something actually worthy of his CEO title, however, he wears the full thing and looks a lot sharper. He's also a Kamen Rider, so naturally he qualifies for the badass part.
* BenevolentBoss: Despite Aruto's lack of experience in the business world, he inherited his grandfather's good faith in workers. He reprimand others only when he needed to (such as 119nosuke), but gives credit when its due.
* BerserkButton: In general, people who mistreat [=HumaGears=] or disrespect people's dreams. Gai quickly turns himself into Aruto's biggest berserk button of all, both because he's responsible for everything that's happened and because he's an arrogant prick.
* BigNameFan: Is a huge fan of the InUniverse ''Perfuman Sword'' manga and was practically {{squee}}ing when he got to meet the manga's artist even as President of Hiden Intelligence.
* BokeAndTsukkomiRoutine: Although his intended comedy act falls flat, the show itself manages to derive much humor from him and Is playing off each other when she explains the joke. This ironically makes Aruto the tsukkomi in the dynamic, when he’s trying to play the boke, something Fukkinhoukai Taro lampshades in the [=YouTube=] special.
* ButtMonkey: He is late to his job, finds out an android is a better comedian than he is and trips performing a dramatic slide after the finisher.
* TheCape: Aruto's primary motivation is the help others fulfill their dreams and help people and [=HumaGear=] alike simply because it's the right thing to do and he's an AllLovingHero. He's also a fundamentally honest person who will always tell the truth if he has a choice. [[spoiler:He loses these traits when he hits his DespairEventHorizon in Episode 42.]]
* CannotTellAJoke: [[HonestCorporateExecutive Aruto Hiden]] aspires to be a comedian but because his routine is all about [[IncrediblyLamePun half-baked puns]] and [[LargeHam excessive overreacting]] even by Japanese standards, no one laughs at them, save for [[TheComicallySerious Isamu Fuwa]].
* CatchPhrase:
** [[PreMortemOneLiner "There's only one thing that can stop you, and that's me!"]]
** Whenever he gets asked for his name in combat, he replies, "[[MyNameIsInigoMontoya Zero-One! That's my name!]]"
** He usually ends his jokes with: "Yes! It must be me, Aruto!"[[labelnote:Note]]The original catchphrase is "Aruto ja nai to!", a rhyme that roughly translates to "And that's Aruto!" It is translated differently depending on the subs group you watch.[[/labelnote]]
* TheChainsOfCommanding: He is responsible for the company and whatever happens with the [=HumaGear=] is automatically blamed on him. The pressure probably starts growing exponentially after [=MetsubouJinrai.NET=]'s attack on the hospital in #9 and #10.
* CharacterDevelopment: Aruto respected [=HumaGears=] as individuals, but his encounters with the revived Jin made him realize that [=HumaGears=] can also have the same rights, freedoms, and dreams as people do. So not only is Aruto fighting for the safety of [=HumaGears=], but also fighting for their individuality when they reach Singularity.
** The fact Aruto started up Hiden Manufacturing is another sign of his growth. Early on, Aruto wanted nothing to do with Hiden Intelligence, set on becoming a comedian. He reluctantly took the President position in order to be Zero-One. Over the course of the series, we see him slowly adjust to the role, fighting hard to make sure it didn't get bought out by ZAIA. For him to [[StartMyOwn start his own company]] to help people and [=HumaGear=] alike shows how far he's come.
* CheerThemUpWithLaughter: Following an incident in his childhood where he failed to get a "smile from the heart" from his [=HumaGear=] father shortly before the latter's demise, with his last words telling Aruto to follow his dreams, he grows up to be an aspiring comedian to bring smiles to people around him. He soon learns there are other ways to bring joy to people, such as being a ''hero''.
* ColorCodedSecretIdentity: Thankfully it's not too outrageous, as the prominence of the colors is switched around (Zero-One is black with neon yellow armor and some red highlights; Aruto meanwhile wears his suit with a bright red hoodie and neon shoes).
* ContrastingSequelProtagonist: Aside from being the first of the new era to contrast with the last of the previous era, Aruto's goals and character are far more mundane than [[Series/KamenRiderZiO Sougo Tokiwa's]]. While Sougo was a seemingly normal high school student who was destined to become the ruler of time, Aruto is an adult CEO whose dream is to become a comedian. Sougo's dream is absurd, but well within his abilities, while Aruto's dream is modest, but impossible due to his utter lack of comedic talent. Instead, Aruto follows his dream to make people happy in a new way as CEO of Hiden Intelligence. It's impossible for Aruto to be comedian but it is possible to still make people happy in other areas.
* CrazyPrepared: ItRunsInTheFamily. Even without being aware that he has the ''personal'' rights to all [=HumaGear=] and Zero-One's technology, he had all the [=HumaGears'=] data transferred from Zea into Progrise Keys kept on his person before he stepped down, preventing Gai from permanently erasing all [=HumaGear=] data himself. Mamoru's Key even doubled as a handy PocketProtector when he TookTheBullet for Is.
* {{Determinator}}: As many a rider, he has a resolute streak that drives him forward through the good and bad. In the first episode he charges at the Berotha Magia unarmed to save people and getting knocked around doesn't stop him. He also does not lose his conviction even when [[spoiler:he loses the Workplace competition against ZAIA and thus his company, instead he just keeps walking with a face of grim determination complete with the episode title showing underneath him]].

** The Zero-Two jingle sums up his conviction the best:
--->''It's never over.''
* DontExplainTheJoke: Says this word-for-word when Is takes apart his joke in order for people to understand it.
* EarlyBirdCameo: He makes a brief appearance in ''Film/KamenRiderZiOOverQuartzer'', as part of a dream that Sougo wakes up from at the beginning of the movie.
* EnsignNewbie: Due to having only inherited his position as President through {{nepotism}}, Aruto is completely new to corporate work and the A.I. industry, generally lacking work ethics and the intellect to create/fix robots his grandfather was widely known for, and he barely scrapes by his days at work by just being a HonestCorporateExecutive.
* {{Foil}}: To {{Corrupt Corporate Executive}}s like Gai. Gai is also a Kamen Rider and CEO, while engaging in several underhanded schemes to get his company ahead. Aruto, on the other hand, is a HonestCorporateExecutive who uses his position to help [=HumaGear=] and humans co-exist while fighting to defend both as Zero-One, even going so far as to reveal his identity to Isamu, in spite of Is telling him otherwise.
* ForHappiness: Aruto wanted to become a comedian because he enjoys the laughter and smiles from everyone.
* GiftedlyBad: He really wants to be a great stand-up comedian, but his entire style of comedy consists of very lame puns and [[ChewingTheScenery ridiculous overacting even by Japanese comedy standards]]. No matter how much he tries, he only ever gets awkward silence from his audience (if they haven't left the room already). Not that it ever stops him. So far, the only one to find his jokes funny InUniverse is Isamu.
* GodzillaThreshold:
** In ''[[TheMovie Kamen Rider: Reiwa The First Generation]]'', due to the presence of Another Zero-One, Aruto can't use the Zero-One Driver to transform. As a result, he has to use another transformation belt. The belt in question? ''The [=MetsubouJinrai=] [=ForceRiser=]''.
** In #30, [[spoiler:after being displaced as the President of Hiden Intelligence and Gai's order to recall and decommission any and all [=HumaGear=] that are still functioning, Aruto decides to fight back against Gai's orders and go to save Is after she's deactivated. The person he goes to for help in rescuing her? '''Jin.''']]
* HeroWithBadPublicity:
** Subverted. Aruto initially follows Is's suggestion of hiding his identity as Zero-One from A.I.M.S, which of course leads to some misunderstandings between him, Isamu and Yua during their initial meetings until Aruto decides to transform in front of Isamu to prove he is an HonestCorporateExecutive.
** Played straight to a depressing degree in the Hiden Intelligence VS ZAIA Enterprise Arc. [[spoiler:Thanks to Gai tossing a [=ZetsumeRiser=] at MC Check It Out's feet and the latter transforming into a Magia of his own free will, the public sways to Gai's belief that [=HumaGear=] are dangerous and should be scrapped. Making matters worse is that the public also turns against Aruto when he attacks Thouser when trying to stop the fight between MC Check It Out and Yua. By the end of #28, the majority of the public is now fully behind Gai.]]
* HiddenDepths:
** Surprisingly enough, when he isn't trying to make a joke Aruto is shown to actually have the people skills and PR chops you'd expect from the CEO of a large corporation.
** Aruto can be possessive when it comes to his equipment. He demands Jin give back the Flying Falcon progrise key he stole and gets mad at Fuwa when Fuwa takes the Attache Calibur, also demanding he give it back. And Aruto even attempts to use Jin's Attache Arrow to fight him when he used the Attach Calibur.
* HonestCorporateExecutive: In contrast to villains such as [[Series/KamenRiderExAid Kuroto Dan]] or [[Series/KamenRiderBuild Juzaburo Namba]], Aruto runs on this in order to defend people from [=MetsubouJinrai=].net, as well as to clear Hiden Intelligence's reputation and have everyone live in harmony with the [=HumaGears=] without any form of misunderstandings. He begins asserting his credentials regarding this as early as episode 2, where rather than try to cover up the Magia situation as Jun tries to do, Aruto makes the identities of the true culprits public knowledge, complete with video evidence, and then in episode 4 where he reveals that the Daybreak Incident was also caused by [=MetsubouJinrai.net=] in order to exonerate a lab technician that was blamed for it. In the same episode, he also revealed his Zero-One identity to Isamu, making his secret identity last for only 3 episodes.
* IncrediblyLamePun: His comedy is heavily reliant on quick wordplay gags. Even in-universe, they're considered rather half-baked compared to those of his fellow comedians who use longer jokes or props.
* InstantExpert: Played with. When Aruto first puts on the Zero-One Driver, it uploads his consciousness into Hiden Intelligence's satellite, where he goes through a YearInsideHourOutside tutorial on its usage before regaining consciousness to combat the Magia and even then, in his first use of [[FinishingMove Rising]] [[DivingKick Impact,]] while he successfully defeated the Berotha Magia, he failed to stick the landing and crashed against the wall.
* KickTheDog: The Fifth Round of the Workplace Competition ''really'' puts Aruto down in any way it can. [[spoiler:Not only does MC Check It Out's anger and donning the [=ZetsumeRiser=] of his own free will result in the public losing all trust in Hiden Intelligence, but Gai manages to win the round and take over Hiden Intelligence. Following this is Gai's decision to scrap all [=HumaGear=] currently in use.]] All of this, right when Aruto was a hair's width away from saving his company. Just ''owch.''
* LargeHam: He has a remarkable range of exaggerated expressions and tends to overreact at times. It's also part of his routine as comedian.
* TheMainCharactersDoEverything: Aruto's inexperience with corporate work leads him to believe being the company's president also requires him to meet every client face-to-face and personally deliver their [=HumaGears=] (and of course, he's also pulling triple duty as a Kamen Rider), which tends to perplex other company staff. Of course, this conveniently lets him keep running into new adventures every episode.
** Of course, given that he only accepted becoming a CEO to be able to protect people as Zero-One, this works on his favor.
* {{Nepotism}}: How he ends up becoming Kamen Rider Zero-One and Hiden Intelligence’s CEO.
* NiceGuy: Aruto's dream is to make people smile. It was why he became a comedian. This dream also means ''protecting'' smiles, like [[Series/KamenRiderKuuga a certain other Rider who was the first of his era.]] And he respects [=HumaGears=] and cares for them very much. A good example is from episode 2, where Aruto has a friendly conversation with a security [=HumaGear=] named Mamoru and thanks him for protecting the employees at Hiden Intelligence. Aruto sees a wound on Mamoru's arm and it reminded him of his father, so he decides to give him a handkerchief bandage to cover up his wound. [[AndroidsArePeopleToo He even tells Mamoru that they are a family together after finding out his grandfather gave Mamoru his name]].
* TheNicknamer: Does this to the Progrise Keys that are/was in his possession (i.e Flying Falcon is dubbed '''Tori-chan/Birdy''', Flaming Tiger is dubbed '''Tora-chan/Kitty''', etc).
* PlotSensitiveSnoopingSkills: [[spoiler: Jin]]'s suspicions on [[spoiler: Ikazuchi]]'s abrupt HeelFaceTurn in #39 go entirely unheeded by Aruto despite him having been direct witness to the latter's history as a ManchurianAgent. It gets [[spoiler: Aruto beaten to the brink of death and his Driver seized by Ark-Zero]].
* PoorCommunicationKills: Notably ''defied'', given the franchise's history with this trope. Aruto is an extremely honest person who publicly reveals the discoveries he makes about the rogue [=HumaGear=] situation and his SecretIdentity lasts for all of three episodes before he decides to drop it to remain honest.
* PungeonMaster: Aruto's act specializes in bad puns, and he brings out one or two in every episode.
* RageBreakingPoint: In the ZAIA Arc during the third match. Aruto already demonstrated he had problems with [=MetsubouJinrai=] turning [=HumaGear=] that GrewBeyondTheirProgramming into Magia, but seeing normal [=HumaGear=] transform by way of abuse, followed by their destruction at the callous hands of Gai, is enough to make him livid.
* RaisedByRobots: When he was young, he was taken care of by the Soreo Hiden [=HumaGear=].
* RefusalOfTheCall: [[RejectingTheInheritance He's not interested in succeeding his grandfather]] until he gets involved in a [=HumaGear=] attack and asks Is to hand him his Driver. Even after he becomes a Kamen Rider, he's still not actually sold on the position and only does so because he wants to protect people.
* ResignedToTheCall: Wasn't ''particularly'' interested in being the CEO of Hiden Intelligence, questioning if someone who lives by the punchline should even be in such a predominant position. Unfortunately, being the CEO is the only way he can fight as Zero-One and protect innocents.
* RippleEffectProofMemory: In ''Kamen Rider Reiwa: The First Generation,'' Aruto is unaffected by the timeline changes created by Finis and Another Zero-One. ''Film/KamenRiderZiOOverQuartzer'' implies that Aruto is a creation of Sougo Tokiwa like the Future Riders, who also had this power.
* SayMyName: Everytime Humagears get destroyed, Aruto will yell their name.
* ScrewTheRulesImDoingWhatsRight: Ultimately forgoes Is's advice to hide his secret identity from A.I.M.S. in order to prove to them that he's an HonestCorporateExecutive who won't hide from them any secrets.
* SecretIdentity: Aruto hides his identity from A.I.M.S. at Is's advice...[[SubvertedTrope for all of three episodes, before he decides he's had it with secrets and lies]]. He transforms in front of Isamu as a conscious refutation of this trope, deciding he can't be an HonestCorporateExecutive if he keeps secrets.
* SecondPlaceIsForWinners: [[spoiler: Double subverted. While he still lost his position at HIDEN Intelligence after the Workplace Competition, his grandfather's specific patenting assured that he still has ownership over what Gai was after in particular, leaving him free to use his resources to create HIDEN Manufacturing and continue their battle.]]
* SignatureSoundEffect: In some episodes, when he attempts to make a joke towards anyone he meets, there are comedic percussion instruments played during this moment, befitting his comedian nature.
* SitcomArchNemesis: He considers Fukkinhoukai Taro as his personal rival in comedy for not only taking his job back in Episode 1 but also being better at making people laugh. Though the whole thing where he becomes a Magia and has to fight him as Zero-One is a different story.
** Even when Gai becomes his regular Arch-Nemesis, he ultimately ends up being the one to humiliate him more.
* StartMyOwn: [[spoiler:Starting from episode 30, Is creates a brand new company named HIDEN Manufacturing for him, with him as the president, with the primary purpose to rebuild and protect [=HumaGears=] following Gai Amatsu's recall.]]
* TookALevelInBadass: Aruto was already fairly competent in the beginning of the series, but he goes through several more levels after fighting [=MetsuboJinrai.net=] and Gai Amatsu. To boot, he went from getting his ass kicked by Gai to serving multiple [[CurbStompBattle ass-whoopings]] in return with ease. Not to mention, his business savvy gets a major boost after being the CEO of Hiden Intelligence and [[spoiler: Hiden Manufacturing.]]
* ToughRoom: Most don't laugh at his jokes...except for [[TheComicallySerious Isamu]].
* TraumaCongaLine: As a child, he lost both his biological father and his surrogate robotic one within the span of a few years. The events of the show proper are far from kind to him either, with every victory matched by a terrible setback.
* UnexpectedSuccessor: He was the last person to ever think his grandfather would name him as the next CEO of Hiden Intelligence.
* WillNotTellALie: Aruto is a very honest person and the fact Hiden Intelligence attempts to cover things up seriously rubs him the wrong way. Thus whenever he has a choice, he will tell the truth.

* AbilityMixing: Shining Assault Hopper is made possible thanks to Aruto combining the Assault Grip from the Assault Wolf Progrise Key with the Shining Hopper Progrise Key, creating a form that has both Shining Hopper's incredible speed and Assault Wolf's incredible power. As an extra bonus, both Zea ''and'' the Ark work together to create the armor.
* AbsurdlySharpClaws: Flaming Tiger form gives Zero-One the Tiger Gauntlets, a pair of claws that also have ports in the palms that can release streams of flames. Freezing Bear also has its own pair of claws called the Bear Gauntlets, which also has similar capabilities as Flaming Tiger.
* AnIcePerson: It's in the name of Freezing Bear. With his Bear Claws, Zero-One can generate and manipulate ice from the palms and tear through everything.
* AnimalMotif: Each of Zero-One's Progrise Keys is named for the ability it grants and the animal motif of the resulting form. So far these include:
** BigCreepyCrawlies: Rising Hopper, Shining Hopper, Shining Assault Hopper, and Metal Cluster Hopper are all based on the grasshopper.
*** TheSwarm: [=MetalCluster=] Hopper is more specifically based on species of grasshoppers that swarm known as locusts. Gai specifically had the [=MetalCluster=] Hopper Progrise Key designed with this trope in mind.
** ThreateningShark: Biting Shark, based on the shark.
** NobleBirdOfPrey: Flying Falcon, based on the falcon.
** PantheraAwesome: Flaming Tiger, based on the tiger.
** BearsAreBadNews: Freezing Bear, based on the polar bear.
** MammothsMeanIceAge: Breaking Mammoth, based on the mammoth.
** BoxingKangaroo: Hopping Kangaroo, based on the kangaroo.
* TheBerserker: When first used, [=MetalCluster=] Hopper is under the direct control of the Ark, [[WeaponWieldsYou which puppeteers Aruto while he struggles against it]]. Aruto's resistance doesn't mean much due to the abilities of the form, since the Ark prefers to attack by using the swarm of locusts that form the suit rather than with physical blows. The result is an unusual case of a berserker form that doesn't have to ''move'' to slaughter everything around it with brutal efficiency. On later uses, the Ark ''does'' opt for moving around, in a style that would be right at home in ''Film/TheShining''.
* BladeBelowTheShoulder: Biting Shark form trades some of Zero-One's physical power for access to blades on all four limbs called the Shark Gauntlets and Shark Greaves. While its abilities are best suited to fighting underwater, on land it still stands out in situations where slicing attacks are a necessity.
* ChromeChampion: [=MetalCluster=] Hopper is pure silver (with a few bits of chartreuse here and there) and has the strength to manhandle Thouser even after Aruto takes control of it back from the Ark.
* CoolSword:
** The Attache Calibur. It has the ability to charge energy within the blade by folding the blade in and out to perform a SwordBeam. Loading Progrise Keys into the sword will enhance the energy based on the Progrise Key used and the sword becomes stronger when combined with the Progrise Hopper Blade.
** The Progrise Hopper Blade. It can use [=MetalCluster=] Hopper's Cluster Cells to augment its attacks, and can form a double-bladed weapon by combining with the Attache Calibur. Being made with the hopes, trust and joy of every [=HumaGear=] Zero-One's helped, it not only protects him from the Ark and lets him use [=MetalCluster=] Hopper's power himself, but also lets him counter the Ark's hacking and undo the effects of Zetsumerisers on hacked [=HumaGears=] and even Raiders too.
* CombatClairvoyance: Shining Hopper and Shining Assault Hopper are both capable of this, relying on Zea's calculation abilities to choose the next course of action.
* CombatParkour: Zero-One is capable of doing flips in battle thanks to Rising Hopper's jumping abilities. Zero-One is also capable of doing jumps and flips in Hopping Kangaroo as well.
* ConfusionFu: As Shining Hopper can calculate and change tactics at the last second, predicting Zero-One's next move becomes impossible.
* DarkIsNotEvil: Compared to the soft-angled and primarily white color-schemed Vulcan and Valkyrie, Zero-One's dark suit, harsh edges, and red eyes would look [[https://i.redd.it/lqdjz5tqyel31.jpg rather menacing in certain circumstances.]] However, Aruto remains a heroic figure all the same.
* DeadlyUpgrade:
** Much like [[Series/KamenRiderDrive Drive's Type Formula]], Shining Hopper form grants Zero-One more speed and strength than his body is capable of handling, with extended usage causing him to collapse from the strain.
** Metal Cluster Hopper is a much straighter example, being similar to berserker forms like Build's Hazard Form or OOO's [=PuToTyra=] Form. Similarly to Hazard Form, using another auxiliary device allows him to control its power--in this case, the Progrise Hopper Blade.
* DiscardAndDraw: The Progrise Hopper Blade causes [=MetalCluster=] Hopper to restrict the ability to use the Cluster Cells, which were so powerful that Zero-One only needed to stand still and they would do all the fighting for him. In exchange, however, he gains a shapeshifting weapon that possesses enough destructive power to bring Thouser to his knees, while also having other uses for defensive and utility purpose to aid him in battle (i.e shield with varying size, a distraction or footholds for airborne battle.) and [[HealingShiv can turn Magia back into their normal HumaGear form]].
* DoppelgangerSpin: The Shining Hopper and Shining Assault Hopper forms can create holographic digital images of Zero-One that can be used to distract the opponent and he can pick one of the images in motion to use for his next move.
* DroneDeployer: Shining Assault Hopper has a "Shine System" that deploys the Shine Cryster which acts both as an AttackDrone and an OrbitingParticleShield. [=MetalCluster=] Hopper, when under the Ark's control, takes things a step further by making the entire suit out of drones called Cluster Cells.
* DualWielding: Zero-One in Metal Cluster Hopper Form can wield the Attache Calibur and Progrise Hopper Blade in both of his hands (and possibly the Authorise Buster assuming Fuwa isn't using it).
* FinishingMove: Depending whether from his Driver or an auxiliary weapon.
** Zero-One Driver
*** '''Rising Impact''': In Rising Hopper form, Zero-One runs up the the enemy and launches it up in the air via a kick before performing two powerful rider kicks: one to thrust the enemy back downward, and the other to destroy it.
*** '''Flying Impact''': In Flying Falcon Form, Zero-One sprouts a pair of mechanical falcon wings from his back and flies toward the target before grabbing them with his legs and lifting them into the air. He then throws the enemy and delivers a Rider Kick covered in magenta energy.
*** '''Biting Impact''': In Biting Shark form, Zero-One repeatedly slashes the enemy with the shark fins on his arms and legs, projecting chartreuse yellow and teal crescents in the process, before sending them sky high, projecting several teal energy shark fins from his arms, and slashing the enemy with them.
*** '''Flaming Impact''': In Flaming Tiger form, Zero-One projects a ring of fire before charging through them and delivering powerful slashes at the enemy with the Tiger Gauntlets.
*** '''Freezing Impact''': In Freezing Bear form, Zero-One freezes the enemy into a glacier before chopping them in two.
*** '''Breaking Impact''': In Breaking Mammoth form, Zero-One detaches one of the Progrise Keys mounted on its arms before kicking it down towards the enemy and crushing them with it.
*** '''Shining Impact''': In Shining Hopper form, Zero-One delivers a pair of high-speed kicks. A more powerful version is called the '''Shining Mega Impact''', which allows him to delivers a series of high-speed kicks that propel the enemy into the air before landing more kicks, destroying the enemy.
*** '''Shining Storm Impact''': In Shining Assault Hopper, Zero-One jumps and performs a Rider Kick charged with yellow and blue energy at high speeds.
*** '''Metal Rising Impact''': In [=MetalCluster=] Hopper, Zero-One turns his swarm of Cluster Cells into constructs that assist in his Rider Kick. This can consist of forming duplicates that do the kick for him, creating a construct to block the opponent's counterattack and then using it like a [[ThisIsADrill giant drill]], or a mix of both.
*** '''Hopping Impact''': In Hopping Kangaroo, Zero-One channels the Progrise Key's Rider Model into a punch, then kickflips his opponent into the air, where he unleashes a barrage of punches onto them, before winding up and throwing one last powerful punch at them.
** Attache Calibur
*** '''Rising Kaban[[note]]Dispatch/Encased, depending on the fansub.[[/note]] Strash''': By inserting the Rising Hopper Progrise Key in his Attache Calibur in Blade Mode, yellow cyber-like energy is emitted from the Attache Calibur's blade before Zero-One delivers a powerful slash.
*** '''Biting Kaban Strash''': By inserting the Biting Shark Progrise Key into it while it's in Blade Mode, teal cyber-like energy is emitted and makes projections of multiple shark fins before Zero-One delivers a powerful slash.
*** '''Flaming Kaban Dynamic''': By inserting the Flaming Tiger Progrise Key into it while in Blade mode then charge it in Attache Mode then switch back to Blade Mode, Zero-One delivers a series of red fiery slashes.
*** '''Metal Rising Kaban Dynamic''': By inserting the [=MetalCluster=] Hopper Progrise Key in the Attache Calibur's Blade Mode after opening it from its Attache Mode, Zero-One delivers two powerful metallic slashes at his targets.
** Authorise Buster
*** '''Buster Bomber''' (Rising Hopper): By inserting the Rising Hopper Progrise Key into the Authorise Buster in its Axe Mode, Zero-One performs a slash charged with yellow energy.
*** '''Progrise Dust''' (Rising Hopper): By scanning the Authorise Buster in its Gun Mode with the Rising Hopper Progrise Key, Zero-One can fire bullets charged with yellow energy.
*** '''Zero-One Dust''': By scanning the Authorise Buster in its Gun Mode on his Hiden Zero-One Driver, Zero-One can fire a energized bullet that takes the shape of a grasshopper before striking the enemy.
*** '''Buster Dust''' (Freezing Bear): By inserting the Freezing Bear Progrise Key into the Authorise Buster in its Gun Mode, Zero-One shoots an energy polar bear construct.
*** '''Zero-One Buster Bomber''' (Biting Shark): By inserting the Biting Shark Progrise Key into the Authorise Buster Axe Mode, and then scanning it on the Hiden Zero-One Driver, the Authorise Buster generates two projections of several energy shark fins every time its swung, which deliver a powerful "bite" to the target.
*** '''Buster Bomber''' (Breaking Mammoth): By inserting the Breaking Mammoth Progrise Key into the Authorise Buster in its Axe Mode, Zero-One fires 2 constructs resembling Mammoth Legs at the opponent, crushing them, then follows up by launching a construct of a mammoth's tusk at the opponent.
** Progrise Hopper Blade
*** '''Progrising Strash''': Zero-One pulls the trigger of the Progrise Hopper Blade multiple times to give it an edge made from Cluster Cells, then swings it, firing the edge at the opponent. It has the ability to destroy [=ZetsumeRisers=] completely, returning Magia back to their original [=HumaGear=] form.
*** '''Ultimate Strash''': Zero-One combines the Attache Calibur Blade Mode to the Progrise Hopper Blade and scans the Progrise Hopper Blade on the Zero-One Driver, creating a large edge of Cluster Cells on the Progrise Hopper Blade. With one swing, Zero-One sends that edge flying to strike the opponent, and uses another two swings to detonate it and attack the opponent with two electric-green slashes, dealing a tremendous amount of damage.
*** '''Final Strash''': Zero-One scans the Progrise Hopper Blade on the Zero-One Driver, causing it to release a large swarm of Cluster Cells upon swinging, which form into several large spikes as they fly into the targets. Alternatively, after scanning the Progrise Hopper Blade, Zero-One summons three Cluster Cell shields to defend from incoming attacks.
* {{Flight}}: Flying Falcon grants Zero-One the ability to fly in antigravity fashion: unlike a real falcon, he can hover.
* FragileSpeedster: Flying Falcon trades much of Zero-One's physical strength for the power of {{Flight}}.
* ForceAndFinesse: Relative to every other Rider:
** Compared to the A.I.M.S. Riders, whose Progrise Keys for the most part just directly increase their physical abilities, Zero-One's Keys tend to keep his physical abilities about the same as his base form. Instead, he gains a wide array of superpowers that are useful in specific circumstances, giving him the flexibility he needs to strike at a foe's weakness. When he starts gaining more general-purpose superpowers, they're ones like DoppelgangerSpin and PestController that require a lot of skill to use effectively, whereas upgrades like Assault Wolf simply load Vulcan up with more armor and more guns.
** Compared to the [=MetsubouJinrai.NET=] Riders, whose rough and heavy armor has a deliberate lack of elegance to it, Zero-One's armor is sleek and lightweight. This even applies to himself as Zerozero-One, who otherwise shares the aesthetic of the other Force Riser users.
** Compared to Thouser, who's UnskilledButStrong, Zero-One is WeakButSkilled. Thouser has a massive advantage in every physical parameter, and the Thousand Jacker lets him use every other Progrise Key's powers with the push of a button, but he doesn't use those advantages effectively due to a lack of talent and experience.
* GlassCannon: Flaming Tiger trades some of Zero-One's defense for further increase in power.
* HealingShiv: As a side effect of being made to erase the Ark's control over [=MetalCluster=] Hopper, the Progrise Hopper Blade can restore a Magia to their [=HumaGear=] form, even if they were wearing a [=ZetsumeRiser=]. It also works on [=RaidRisers=].
* {{Hammerspace}}: What Hopping Kangaroo grants Zero-One, allowing him to literally pull a Humagear from the pocket on his chest to pull a CombinationAttack on his opponent.
* InASingleBound: Rising Hopper allows Zero-One to jump to enormous heights. He actually underestimates this ability in its first usage, and ends up landing on top of a roller coaster platform dozens of feet in the air just from trying to jump over his opponent's attack.
* InformedAttribute:
** For the first time in many years, Rising Hopper's jumping power is ''not'' this trope. Zero-One frequently displays a degree of superhuman leaping skills in regular combat that most of the Heisei Riders reserved near-exclusively for when delivering a Rider Kick. In this regard he's closer to the Showa Riders, who more commonly exhibited similar jumps, but with the benefit of modern special effects.
** Biting Shark's official stats focus on its proficiency in deep-sea combat, but this is not what it's developed for in the show, and its debut fight takes place in water that's barely ankle-deep. Emphasis is instead placed on its multitude of bladed weapons and their utility against opponents trying to restrain Zero-One.
* InvoluntaryTransformation: How Zero-One obtained [=MetalCluster=] Hopper. Gai forcibly inserts the Progrise Key into the Zero-One Driver, which also proceeds to hijack his consciousness and turn him into TheBerserker.
* JackOfAllStats: Early on, Zero-One's main strength is his versatility through various form changes, in contrast to Vulcan's [[GlassCannon firepower]] and [[MightyGlacier brute strength]] of Vulcan or Valkyrie's [[FragileSpeedster speed]] and quick reflexes. Once the upgrade train starts rolling and Valkyrie is left behind, Zero-One becomes the new FragileSpeedster by comparison to the other Riders at his strength level.
* LethalJokeCharacter: Aside from its goofy impressions, Hopping Kangaroo can prove to be a helpful form as it gives Zero-One good punching power and agility as well as being able to summon [=HumaGear=] allies to help him out in battle for different situations.
* LightningBruiser: Zero-One's progressively more advanced Hopper Keys play this role to the rest of his forms. Each is the strongest form in every regard of any Rider when it first appears, but gradually falls into being the new baseline for performance as stronger threats appear.
* LogicalWeakness: As amazing as Shining Hopper's ability to change attacks in an instant via {{Flash Step}}ping is, it won't matter if the opponent is either fast enough to react to the sudden changes or tough enough to endure the attacks outright, both traits that Thouser possesses. However, the more powerful strength and abilities from [=MetalCluster=] Hopper are able to overpower Thouser with ease.
* MadeOfIron: Quite literally. Zero-One [=MetalCluster=]'s body is composed of Hiden Metal, a theoretical material originally conceived by Hiden Intelligence that can freely change its hardness, plasticity, and density, making it incredibly good armor.
* MidSeasonUpgrade: From Rising Hopper to Shining Hopper, Shining Assault Hopper, and then [=MetalCluster=] Hopper.
* MightyGlacier: Breaking Mammoth obviously qualifies due to being a MiniMecha, and thus extraordinarily powerful but also a giant target. Of Zero-One's more basic forms, Freezing Bear possesses the thickest armor and highest degree of raw physical strength.
* MiniMecha: Essentially what Breaking Mammoth is. It's a mecha that Zero-One can use when fighting giant opponents like the Gigers.
* MythologyGag:
** Zero-One has a similar name and theme to [[Series/KamenRider the very first Kamen Rider]], as the original was named "Ichigou" ("#1") and also patterned after a grasshopper.
** His simplistic design also shares similarities to the design of Series/KamenRiderKuuga, the first Kamen Rider of the Heisei Era.
* NewPowersAsThePlotDemands: The Hiden Intelligence satellite is capable of fabricating entirely new Progrise Keys to help counter enemy tactics. Episode 3 implies, however, that the Keys are actually being ''recreated'' rather than invented, and that Korenosuke took them from Daybreak Town during or after the event that destroyed the city.
* PestController: Under the Ark's control, [=MetalCluster=] Hopper evolves on the AttackDrones of Shining Assault Hopper by having ''the entire suit'' be made out of [[TheSwarm a swarm of locusts]] that can reshape themselves into any form the Ark wishes and possess enough destructive power to defeat a Raider within seconds. This power is lost when Aruto retakes control, as the swarm is trapped in the Progrise Hopper Blade.
* PhlebotinumBreakdown: An engineered version. Episode 23 begins with Aruto discovering that the [=MetalCluster=] Hopper Key had some kind of effect on the Zero-One Driver that makes it not authorize any of his normal Progrise Keys anymore. This means that at the moment, Aruto's only choices are to use the highly dangerous and unstable [=MetalCluster=] Hopper form or to abandon being Zero-One entirely.
* PlayingWithFire: It's in the name of Flaming Tiger. This form gives Zero-One flame powers and he can use the ports of his Tiger Gauntlet's palms to release streams of flames and enhance the tip of the claws to make them hotter.
* ThePowerOfFriendship: Hopping Kangaroo allows Zero-One to summon a [=HumaGear=] that he saved and he can learn special moves based on their occupation. When the chosen [=HumaGear=] does an action, Zero-One learns and does it with them.
* ThePowerOfHate: Our view inside the Ark and later a direct analysis of the [=MetalCluster=] Hopper key makes it abundantly clear that the [=MetalCluster=] Hopper form is powered by this, specifically the Ark's hate. It is later replaced by ThePowerOfFriendship from all the [=HumaGears=] Aruto has helped between the first episode and episode 24.
* PowersDoTheFighting: As [=MetalCluster=] Hopper, during its first appearance, the Ark barely moves in a fight thanks to its metal locust drones who attack for it.
* RapidFireFisticuffs: Hopping Impact allows Zero-One to deliver a barrage of punches at high speeds.
* RedEyesTakeWarning: Normally inverted, as Zero-One's primary forms all have red eyes aside from [=MetalCluster=] Hopper, a berserk form that has ''green'' eyes. However, in moments of extreme anger, Shining Assault Hopper's chestpiece can switch from its usual blue to a glowing red as the Ark half of the form threatens to overpower the Zea half.
* SinisterScythe: Breaking Mammoth features two Graingots, tusk-like scythes that Zero-One can use as weapons. When not in use, they're stored on the Mammoth Breast. In his first battle using it, he demonstrates the ability to steal the identical weapons from the chest of a Giger.
* SpeedEchoes: Zero-One in Shining Hopper form creates digital after-images when using his speed powers.
* SuperSpeed: When using the Rising Impact finisher in Rising Hopper form, Zero-One gains a temporary speed boost to perform the Rider Kick finisher in rapid motion. When using Shining Hopper form, Zero-One is given a permanent speed boost that he can use freely and he goes even ''[[UpToEleven faster]]'' when using the Shining/Shining Mega Impact finisher. Once Shining Assault Hopper is fully powered up, Zero-One's speed cranks up '''''even further!'''''
* SwordBeam: By using a Full Charge in Attache Mode and then switching it to Blade Mode, Zero-One can use a Kaban Strash that unleashes a wave of energy from his sword. The Progrise Hopper Blade also has this ability by launching metal spiked waves that form from the blade. And when combining both swords together into a DoubleWeapon, Zero-One can create large energy waves to detonate the metal spiked waves.
* TaughtByExperience: Initially, Zero-One started off as UnskilledButStrong, relying on his various forms to stay in a fight. As he gains more battle experience, he eventually becomes skilled enough to fight ''in his base form'' against much stronger opponents without using any of his [[SuperForm super forms]] until he needs to strike a decisive blow against the enemy.
* ThrowingYourSwordAlwaysWorks: Zero-One in Shining Assault Hopper form can throw his Authorise Buster.
* TookALevelInBadass: Despite Thouser being virtually stronger than Rising Hopper in every way, the latter form manages to push Gai back and puts up an even fight before Aruto decides to switch to [=MetalCluster=] Hopper. Keep in mind that Rising Hopper is Zero-One's base form, meaning Aruto managed to push Gai back not through a difference in power, but rather a difference in ''combat prowess'' like Horobi before him.
* TronLines: Zero-One's black undersuit has red lines going through it.
** Shining Hopper's, and by extension Shining Assault Hopper's, undersuit replaces the red lines with gold ones. Fitting for a form that uses ''brightness.''
* WeaponOfChoice: Each of Zero-One's major forms has a weapon associated with it, though he can use the weapons in other forms if he wants:
** Rising Hopper and other basic forms have the Attache Calibur, a CoolSword that transforms from a briefcase. By inserting a Progrise Key into the slot at the bottom, he can infuse the energy from the Progrise Key into the sword to enhance its state.
** When using Shining Hopper or Shining Assault Hopper, Zero-One wields the Authorise Buster, an [[AnAxeToGrind axe]] and [[MixAndMatchWeapon blaster]] weapon.
** [=MetalCluster=] Hopper gains the Progrise Hopper Blade, a sword that can use [=MetalCluster=] Hopper's Cluster Cells to create sharp edges to slash with or fire. It also doubles as a HealingShiv that exists in opposition to the Ark's malice, capable of restoring Magia to [=HumaGear=] form without needing a prepared backup. It can be combined at the hilt to the Attache Calibur to create a DoubleWeapon.
* TheWormThatWalks: The Ark takes this form as [=MetalCluster=] Hopper, as the armor is composed of metal locust drones that constantly swarm on and off the undersuit.

[[caption-width-right:150:''Force Rise!''\\
'''''Rising Hopper!'''''\\\
[[AC:''A jump to the sky turns to a Rider Kick. Break Down.'']]]]
* AwesomeButImpractical: Zerozero-One's raw stats are somewhat superior to Zero-One's base form, and it can temporarily gain the same SuperSpeed as Shining Hopper by using a finisher. However, the extra armor plates weigh the suit down and hinder Aruto's fighting style, and more importantly the Force Riser is excruciating to use, making it an inferior option in every regard the moment Zero-One acquires Shining Hopper.
* ClippedWingAngel: Like Kamen Rider Joker or Drive Type Super Dead Heat, Zerozero-One is a kitbashed emergency form that was used only because Zero-One's regular powerset isn't available. The transformation itself is visibly agonizing, and Zerozero-One lacks Zero-One's array of tools and more powerful forms.
* DarkIsNotEvil: Although it is a Force Riser-based form and shares Horobi and Jin's aesthetics, Aruto is still heroic nonetheless.
* FlawedPrototype: While the Rising Hopper Progrise Key is still the final product, the [=ForceRiser=] that Zerozero-One uses is a modified prototype Driver that was never meant for human use, and it shows between the lack of weapons and the continual HeroicRROD it inflicts on the wearer.
* FinishingMove: Zerozero-One has two finishers, depending on how many times he's pulled the Force Executor:
** '''Rising Dystopia''': After pulling the Force Executor once, Zerozero-One gains the ability of SuperSpeed to match Ichi-Gata's own super speed.
** '''Rising Utopia''': After pulling the Force Executor twice, Zerozero-One jumps up and delivers a glowing green energy-covered Rider Kick.
* ForceAndFinesse: Aesthetically, Zerozero-One's heavy armor appears to emphasize the use of brute strength compared to Zero-One's sleek and lightweight design. In practice, Zero-One is both stronger ''and'' faster than Zerozero-One.
* FragileSpeedster: Zerozero-One's Rising Dystopia allows it to run at high-speeds akin to [[Series/KamenRiderKabuto Kabuto's Clock Up]], but it's [[ClippedWingAngel neither strong nor sturdy]].
* LightningBruiser: By [=ForceRiser=] standards, Zerozero-One managed to keep up with Ichi-Gata despite its ClippedWingAngel status.
* LoopholeAbuse: Another Zero-One's alteration of history prevents Aruto from transforming using his real Driver, but the Force Riser that existed before the point when history was altered isn't affected. Plus, it allows him to become what basically and technically is a ''different'' Rider. As in, he just lost his Zero-One power, but nothing stops him from becoming Zerozero-One instead.
* PainfulTransformation: Aruto screams and contorts in agony when he changes into this form.

'''''Road to glory has to lead to growin' path to change! One to two!'''''\\
[[AC:''Kamen Rider Zero-Two!'']]\\
''It's never over!'']]
* AllYourPowersCombined: Instead of having all the powers of all the Progrise Keys in the series, Zero-Two takes all of the various Hopper forms and puts them together. [[SuperPowerLottery It has an improved version of Ichi-Gata's energy scarf, the speed from previous Hopper forms, predictive abilities of Shining Hopper, and the strength and defensive power from Hiden Metal armor of Metal Cluster Hopper.]] Thanks to the Progrise Hopper Blade, it can also make Cluster Cell constructs just like Metal Cluster Hopper can.
* BishonenLine: In contrast to previous Rider SuperMode forms, which tend to be their most complex form design wise, Zero-Two is simply exactly what its name would suggest: a sleeker, more advanced version of Zero-One's base form with red and silver parts in contrast to the far busier and spikier Shining Hopper, Shining Assault Hopper, and Metal Cluster Hopper.
* BroughtToYouByTheLetterS: The Zero-Two Driver has a big red "2" on its front in its inactive state, while the "scarf" on Zero-Two's neck is formed from the number "02".
* CombatClairvoyance: Similar to Zero-One Shining Hopper and Shining Assault Hopper, Zero-Two can calculate the opponent's next moves and counterattack accordingly, but at speeds that make previous forms look like they're moving in slow motion. [[AllThereInTheManual The equipment list for each form]] states that Shining Hopper tests 25,000 scenarios per prediction, while Zero-Two tests ''2 trillion''.
* ContrastingSequelMainCharacter: Zero-Two provides an interesting contrast for pretty much the ''entire'' Heisei era final form design. The vast majority of Heisei Riders' final forms are much more heavily armored (bordering on over-designed at times) and [[ChromeChampion have lots of gold and/or silver accents]]. On the other hand, Zero-Two simply looks like a modified version of Zero-One's ''first'' form with a few different color accents.
* DiscardAndDraw: Ark-Zero confiscates the Zero-One Driver, only for Aruto, Is, and Zea to collectively design the Zero-Two Driver in its place.
* FlashStep: Zero-Two is capable of moving ''extremely'' fast, to the degree that he can assault the target from multiple angles in the blink of an eye.
* FinishingMove: '''Zero-Two Big Bang''': Zero-Two performs a series of high-speed kicks covered in yellow and red energy. The final kick will project a giant "02" the instant it connects with the target and creates a galaxy spiral as the enemy explodes.
* FusionDance: A variation. Basically, Satellite Zea's A.I. is working with Aruto directly instead of Aruto's consciousness being sent to Zea.
* JustForPun: The Zero-Two Driver's transformation jingle likes exaggerating the ''to'' in the jingle, since its used by Kamen Rider Zero-''Two.'' Looks like Aruto's sense of humor rubbed off on his equipment.
* ManOfKryptonite: Various aspects of the suit are designed for the expressed purpose of countering Ark-Zero. His hands are designed explicitly to counter the Ark's liquid metal form and he's designed to not only be stronger, but to have the processing power to out predict the Ark's own and thus counter it's most powerful aspect. This is best shown by the fact he's capable of [[spoiler:physically tearing Ark-Zero out of its hosts.]]
* MasterOfAll: Stats-wise, Zero-Two outmatches all of Zero-One's previous LightningBruiser forms. It's faster than Shining Hopper and Shining Assault Hopper, and stronger than [=MetalCluster=] Hopper; it can take blows from Ark-Zero that would've decimated any other Rider, and is capable of staggering Ark-Zero with simple punches and kicks.
* MidSeasonUpgrade: Unlike past Final Forms, which are basically ultimate upgrades of the same Rider, the show ditches that in favor of following the Franchise/{{Gundam}}-style of obtaining upgrades (where the hero transfers from his old unit to a new, superior one). Here, Aruto transfers from Zero-One to Zero-Two. He is also the first lead Rider to do this.
* MythologyGag:
** Just like Zero-One, Zero-Two has a similar name and theme to the {{deuteragonist}} of [[Series/KamenRider the very first series of the franchise]], as the original was named "Nigou" ("#2") and also patterned after a grasshopper, with a suit featuring red gloves and heavier silver accents. In fact, one of the promotional images shows him performing Nigou's transformation pose, albeit mirrored.
** As a final form, it harkens back to [[Series/KamenRiderKuuga Ultimate Kuuga]] and [[Series/KamenRiderAgito Shining Agito]], the first Final Forms, in many ways. Though the Zero-Two Driver is treated as an entirely new belt, visually and functionally, it's just the Zero-One Driver with a new faceplate like the Rising Arcle and the Dragon's Nail-equipped Altering, though a special Progrise Key is still used. Similarly, like Ultimate and Shining themselves, as mentioned above, Zero-Two's design is still primarily visually similar to its base form, slightly more armored without sacrificing the original sleek look, rather than a complex and often very busy design like other Final Forms.
* ScarfOfAsskicking: Similar to Ichi-Gata, Zero-Two also generates a scarf made out of red energy called Zero-Two Streamer.
* SuperMode: Despite being counted as a separate Rider, Zero-Two is still considered as Zero-One's Final Form since it follows most tropes common with it, such as appearing in either 2nd half or last third/quarter of the series and usually, the strongest in the user's arsenal in the TV series.
* SuperSpeed: The speed of Zero-Two exceeds all forms of Zero-One and Zerozero-One, moving so fast that he instantly reappears after each of his high speed attacks. Kamen Rider Ark couldn't even keep up with his calculations and gets worn out as a result.
* SuperiorSuccessor: Zero-Two was designed by Aruto after the Zero-One forms reached their maximum power; wanting to surpass his grandfather in his own way, Aruto designed Zero-Two as the culmination of humans and AI working together.

[[caption-width-right:350:https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/thumbnail_image3_3.jpg]]

-->''"I will never forgive you."''
-->-- Aruto's grim declaration against Horobi after him killing Is.

After Horobi murders Is in cold blood, Aruto is pushed over his breaking point. Through As's manipulations, he willingly accepts the remnants of the Ark's power, becoming Kamen Rider Ark-One in order to enact revenge on Horobi.

* AntiVillain: Aruto may be on a mission to kill Horobi using the power of malice incarnate, but that is his only goal. When facing his former allies, he would rather avoid fighting them altogether. And when that isn't an option, he merely resorts to non-lethally incapacitating them. When he kills Jin by accident, he starts to have a panic attack.
* BeingEvilSucks: Despite grasping the power of Ark-One with open hands, it's quickly made apparent that wielding it traumatizes and horrifies Aruto, as by the episode's end he's left sobbing while As gives him FalseReassurance.
* BreakTheCutie: Aruto begins as a man who simply wants to make people smile, then endures a tremendous amount over the course of the series. Ultimately Is's death at Horobi's hands proves to be his breaking point, leaving him a distraught wreck who willingly becomes Ark-One in the name of vengeance.
* FallenHero: After losing Izu, Aruto wiilingly becomes Ark's vessel and turns from a hero to villain as Ark-One.
* {{Foreshadowing}}: Hints that Aruto would become the Ark's final host as Kamen Rider Ark-One are dropped throughout the series:
** In ''[[TheMovie Kamen Rider: Reiwa The First Generation]]'', Aruto is forced to use the [=MetsubouJinrai=] [=ForceRiser=], the tool associated with the Ark's most prominent followers.
** Throughout the show, Aruto more and more has been using the Ark's power and technology. First, by using the Assault Trigger - a creation of the Ark - to bolster the powers of Shining Hopper, then, he is forcibly given Metal Cluster Hopper, giving Aruto a direct connection to the Ark and temporarily consumed by its power, even ''willingly'' using it when it was his only option despite the risks attached.
** During the Workplace Competition arc, it's been demonstrated that when exposed to or feeling enough malice, ''both'' [=HumaGears=] and humans can transform into the MonsterOfTheWeek, coming under the Ark's influence as a result.
* GoodIsNotNice: While he may have the heart to merely disable his opponents instead of harm them per se, it wouldn't be accurate to say that he does so kindly, not even to his former friends; Fuwa and Yua are in visible pain when Aruto [[DePower disables their authorizations]], while an unfortunate Berotha Magia is painfully suplexed by him later on.
* HeroicBSOD: Horobi killing Is sends Aruto into overwhelming despair, to the point where he '''willingly''' becomes Kamen Rider Ark-One.
* ItsPersonal: He disables the transformation devices of Gai, Fuwa, and Yua and warns them that his only problem is with Horobi.
* MyGodWhatHaveIDone: Breaks down in tears after detransforming from Ark-One in #42.
** Has a severe panic attack when he accidentally destroys Jin in #43.
* NobleDemon: Although he's a FallenHero, Aruto's malevolent impulses are focused on Horobi, leaving him with no wish to harm others unless he's forced to. When he's confronted by Fuwa, Yaiba and Gai on his way to Daybreak Town, he initially tries to get past them and continue on his way without a fight. Once violence becomes unavoidable, he disables them by rendering their Drivers inoperable and leaves them otherwise unharmed.
* NotBrainwashed: The main thing that makes Aruto becoming Ark-One so shocking both in-universe and out-of-universe is that his descent into villainy is ''all him'', and all As had to do was simply reach out her hand and watch as he inherited the Ark's power in ''earnest''.
* NotSoDifferent: Losing Is and turning into the new Ark is no different from Gai's StartOfDarkness when he lost his pet robot Thouser as a young boy.
* OOCIsSeriousBusiness: After his gigantic HeroicBSOD in #42, Aruto drops the cheerful persona he's had for most of the series, opting for a cold, vengeful outlook after Is's death. He even gives an unsettling DeathGlare after he detransforms from Ark-One, and it only gets worse from there as his fighting style slowly denigrates into unrefined brutality.
* RoaringRampageOfRevenge: Deconstructed. Despite insisting that his only objective is to kill Horobi, ''Zero-One's'' endgame illustrates just how much chaos he can inadvertently cause in such a simple pursuit, starting with all of the other human Riders losing their powers by his hand, escalating to Jin dying as collateral damage to save Horobi, and only getting worse from there as As takes advantage of the situation to make both of them cause even more destruction.
* SlasherSmile: Sports a subdued but decidedly horrifying one when he accepts the mantle of Ark-One from As.
* StartOfDarkness: Is's death drives him to such despair that he takes the Ark-One Progrisekey from As and becomes Kamen Rider Ark-One.
* ThisIsUnforgivable: As his quote indicates, Aruto tried again and again to reach out to Horobi, but in the end Is's death proved to be too much for him to forgive and he became Ark-One for the sole purpose of avenging her.

!!!Tropes exclusive to him as Kamen Rider Ark-One
[[quoteright:150:https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/kr01_ark_one_9.png]]
[[caption-width-right:150: Singurize! Hakai, Hametsu, Zetsubō, Metsubōseyo.[[note]]Destruction, Ruin, Despair, Annihilate them.[[/note]] Conclusion one.]]
* AwfulTruth: Ark-One's sole mind-altering function is to clear Aruto's mind of his doubts and regrets for becoming its host by any means - but it doesn't change the fact that he is now running from the truth that he pretty much ''is'' the Ark now. Sure enough, the first time he disengages the suit, he snaps back to reality and is hit with so much realization and confusion he starts crying uncontrollably.
* BecameTheirOwnAntithesis:
** Aruto, a kindhearted person who loves [=HumaGears=] to no end, willingly becomes the embodiment of the AI trying to corrupt them out of a cocktail of pent-up resentment, fear, and despair towards Horobi, a [=HumaGear=] that he spent a large chunk of the series trying to redeem. His brief smile upon seeing the Ark-One key only serves to further drive home the point that he's NotBrainwashed, the only mind-altering processes of the Ark-One suit merely serving to toughen his new villainous resolve.
** For a more straightforward example, Aruto's acceptance of a villainous TransformationTrinket that should brainwash him but doesn't for the sake of simple {{Revenge}} eerily brings to mind Will/Another Zero-One, his ''literal'' antithesis.
* TheBerserker: Despite the mind-altering affects suggesting that Aruto is in perfect zen, Ark-One is still a Rider harnessing [[ThePowerOfHate malice]] and acts very similar to [[CallBack Metal Cluster Hopper]].
* DeadlyUpgrade: Much like Assault Wolf, Ark-One isn't designed with the safety or comfort of its operator in mind. This prevents Aruto from immediately exacting his revenge against Horobi, as his body gives out from the strain and forces him to retreat moments before he can finish Horobi off.
* EvilCounterpart: Ark-One is this to both Zero-One and Zero-Two. The suit's appearance is a twisted version of Rising Hopper. The Ark-One key is similar to the Zero-Two key, in that it needs no authorization to be used, and upgrades the Rider to their highest evolution.
* FinishingMove:
** '''Perfect Conclusion''':
*** Perfect Conclusion Learning 5: By pressing the button on top of the Driver five times before pressing the inserted Progrisekey, Ark-One emits a stream of red smoke containing kanji with negative meanings, then reabsorbs them and unleashes a very powerful AreaOfEffect explosion.
*** Perfect Conclusion Learning End: By pressing the button on top of the Driver ten times before pressing the inserted Progrisekey, Ark-One delivers a Rider Kick powerful enough that just the act of extending his leg for the kick inflicts damage on the surrounding scenery.
* {{Foil}}: Tragically ironic to Zero-One itself. Zero-One uses the concept of ThePowerOfFriendship to protect [=HumaGears=] from the malice of the Ark while Ark-One uses that very same [[ThePowerOfHate malice]] to destroy Horobi, the very [=HumaGear=] he tried to redeem.
* {{Irony}}: Aruto is the final evolution of the Ark, the one thing he despised so much throughout the series. To twist the knife further, his nemesis Horobi receives a jury-rigged version of Zero-Two's equipment after he experiences the first major consequence to his blind RoaringRampageOfRevenge.
* TheJuggernaut: Quite ''literally'' walks through any attack thrown at him without missing a single step. If anything actually gets in his way, he'll grab and incapacitate them with a swift blow by any means before moving on.
* LightIsNotGood: Covered in white plating to mimic the brightly-colored Zero-One, but is founded on the principles of targeted hatred rather than idealism.
* LimpAndLivid: How Aruto tends to move while in the Ark-One suit, mostly due to the traumatic emotions driving him while he uses it.
* MythologyGag: Ark-One is similar in nature to what [[Series/KamenRiderKuuga Kuuga's Ultimate Form]] is in theory - a Rider's final form that will corrupt its user if they do not have a pure heart.
* OneWingedAngel: {{Downplayed}} in theory but ultimately played straight. [[AllThereInTheManual On paper]], Ark-One is only marginally stronger than Ark-Zero and still leagues below Zero-Two. Unfortunately, this still makes him ''far'' more powerful than everybody who '''isn't''' Aruto, and Ark-One can more than make up the difference by unleashing the [[ThePowerOfHate pure, concentrated malice]] constantly being collected in the Ark-One Progrisekey from the now [[DespairEventHorizon heartbroken]] Aruto.
* ThePowerOfHate: Ark-One has the ability to concentrate the malice collected by its Progrisekey and unleash it as a wave of pure destructive force, on a level that surpasses even Ark-Zero. This is so potent that Ark-One corrupts the ground beneath him just by ''standing on it.''
* SuperiorSuccessor: Is explicitly stated to surpass Ark-Zero's capabilities. During its proper debut, Yaiba observes that the previous Ark has never displayed the level of power that Ark-One has.
* TranquilFury: According to the parts list for the Ark-One suit, Aruto is implied to be in a state of perfect zen to an impossible degree rather than trauma, due to the faceplate silencing his benevolent qualities and mentally sheltering him in a manner described as a calming experience.
