* DangerousForbiddenTechnique: Kai can use himself as a portal to send Imagin back in time, but by doing so he destroys his past selves. While he's a Singularity Point and thus this can't kill him, each use destroys some of his memories and erodes his sanity. By the time we meet him, he's gone pretty much completely insane and only gets worse as things progress. [[spoiler:Creating the Death Imagin an an army of Mole Imagin from all his remaining memories ultimately results in him ceasing to exist when Death is killed.]]

!!This is a partial character sheet for ''Series/KamenRiderDenO''. Visit [[Characters/KamenRiderDenO here]] for the main character index. Subjective trope and audience reactions should go on the [[YMMV/KamenRiderDenO YMMV page]].
The series' MonsterOfTheWeek creatures, Imagin are time-traveling spirits from a destroyed alternate future, with the goal of changing the past to bring their future back into existence. Initially they manifest as golden balls of light, but upon possessing a human victim (in a burst of energy and sand) they take a form from that person's imagination, drawing upon their mental image of various stories, legends, or folk tales. Once possessing a victim, Imagin offer them a "wish", twisting that person's desires to destructive ends. Once the wish is granted (by whatever loose definition the Imagin is using), a portal opens to the past via a particularly strong memory of victim's. From there the Imagin goes back in time and runs rampant in an attempt to alter the timeline. Upon defeat, particularly powerful Imagin will [[OneWingedAngel revive as giant monsters]] called "Gigandeaths". The Imagin initially seem independent of one another and unorganized, but as the series goes on it's revealed that there's more to their goals than meets the eye.
----
[[foldercontrol]]
[[folder:In general]]
* AnimalMotifs: As part of their fables and fairy tales theme designs.
* AntiVillain: In a way. While willing to destroy and kill without mercy, and some being quite sadistic, their core motivation is sympathetic: their timeline was erased and they want to restore it, something that would require the destruction of the currrent one.
* BeCarefulWhatYouWishFor: Most Imagin operate like this; in an early episode, the Crow Imagin interprets its victim's wish to forget her ex-fiance by destroying anything playing "Spring" from the Four Seasons Concerto, since she still owned a pendant he gave her that played the song.
* CatchPhrase: "Say your wish. I will grant any wish." [[note]]''"Omae no nozomi o ie. Donna nozomi no kanaete yarou."''[[/note]]
* DealWithTheDevil: One the user is compelled to give, despite a monster suddenly appearing before them. You're hard pressed to find ''anyone'' who willingly made a deal with an Imagin.
* DemonicPossession: They are capable of possessing their hosts beyond the initial time they take to gain a physical form, but they usually don't indulge in it.
* DragonInChief: Both the Albinoleo and the Death Imagin.
** Rather than bring Kai back, they've had the Leo Imagin stand in to represent the Imagin any time the Franchise/KamenRider evil organizations are gathered, like in ''Let's Go Kamen Riders''.
* EliteMook: the New Molech Imagin, which always come up in large numbers.
* IfItSwimsItFlies: Some Hades Gigandeath have demonstrated this ability.
* JackassGenie: A few, particularly the Jellyfish Imagin, which twisted the victim's wish to find his late girlfriend's time capsule into meaning any old time capsule, and mercilessly beat the poor man when he didn't go along with it. The exceptions that prove the rule are Kintaros and Deneb. Kintaros fulfilled the spirit of his host's wish, and only cut the actual training short in order to protect his host in the past from the rhino Imagin. Deneb outright defected and became Sakurai's partner under his own volition.
* LegionOfDoom: Kai's army in the finale, consisting of almost every Imagin that Yuuto and Ryotaro ever fought.
* LiteralGenie: Several of them. For example the Mole Imagin, who heard his contract holder wish to "beat" some guys (in a singing competition) and proceeded to beat them up physically.
* MeaningfulName: "Imagin" is derived from the words "imagine", "djinn"(the arabic word for genie), "Â今" ("ima", Japanese for "now"), and "Â人" ("jin", Japanese for "person").
* OneWingedAngel: Gigandeaths, in three forms: [[BlowYouAway Heaven]], [[MakingASplash Hades]], and [[DishingOutDirt Hell]].
* RetGone: Their origin: their timeline was somehow erased and them along with it. As a result, they're trying to regain a concrete existence short term and in the long term intend to restore their destroyed timeline.
* WeaksauceWeakness: Should an Imagin take a Singularity point as their host, they'll have to negotiate a proper contract to be made, and be forced to either possess their host or be stuck as a ghost made of sand. As Ryotaro demonstrated, this can take a ''very'' long time to happen, although that could be more about how his partners were wilingly working with him than attempting to leave his service.

!!Kai (portrayed by Hideo Ishiguro)
[[quoteright:200:https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/kai_05.png]]
-->"I have the face for it, don't I?"

The main villain of the show; although his existence isn't revealed until late in the series, he is alluded to as the unknown voice that sent Ryutaros to kill Ryotaro under the promise of making him conductor of the [=DenLiner=]. Kai is revealed to be able to talk to ''all'' the Imagins, and commands the vast majority of them that go back in time and wreak havoc. When he finally makes an appearance on the show, it heralds multiple reveals about the Imagins and their goals.

----
* BigBad: [[spoiler: Not revealed until in the middle of the series.]]
* CatchPhrase: "I have the face for it, don't I?" [[labelnote:Japanese]]Ore, sōiu kao shiteru daro?[[/labelnote]]
* CessationOfExistence: [[spoiler:When the Death Imagin is destroyed in the final battle, it takes his remaining memories with it. Despite being a Singularity Point, he'd destroyed so many of his past selves that he's completely erased from time due to this.]]
* FauxAffablyEvil: [[spoiler:His manner of speech and actions are normally relatively unvillainous, which serves to make him far more creepy as a result. Note, he keeps this even when letting loose an entire army of Imagin on the city and preparing to open a time rift to ''erase an entire area and everyone in it from time''. He's also extremely cruel to Ryutaros after the latter fails him.]]
* GigglingVillain: Frequently seen with a creepy grin on his face and indulging himself in maniacal laughter.
* InsaneEqualsViolent: Kai's constant destruction of his past selves and his memories along with them has left him insane, and he's most certainly a very dangerous and violent individual.
* TheManBehindTheMan: Is the driving force behind [[spoiler:the Imagin]] but doesn't appear in person until close to the end.
* MysteriousPast: Exactly where he came from, how he got his TimeMaster powers, and how he ended up working with the Imagin is never revealed. Justified, as given his heavily degraded mental state and how many of his own memories he's erased in the process, it's likely even Kai himself can't remember anymore.
%%* PsychicPowers
* PsychopathicManchild: He acts rather childish most of the time. Despite this, he's completely insane and willing to erase entire areas from time without any regard for life.
* SanitySlippage: Destroying his past selves sending Imagin back in time doesn't do his sanity any favors and even [[TheDragon his Dragon]] comments his sanity is getting worse and worse. It's implied he's been subjected to this trope long before we ever met him.
* TheDarkSideWillMakeYouForget: Quite literally: he's destroyed a large number of his own past selves, and a good chunk of his memories along with them by sending Imagin back in time. While it's implied he at least started with good intentions, by the time we meet him he's more or less gone completely insane due to this.
* TimeMaster: Unlike others, he's able to travel through time without a Time Train. [[spoiler: He's also able to tear open a hole in time and let loose an energy burst capable of erasing everything and everyone in the blast zone except himself from time.]]
* ThatMakesMeFeelAngry: Does this a lot, and usually follows it up with his CatchPhrase above, asking other characters if his face shows that emotion. [[SlasherSmile It usually doesn't.]]
* VillainousBreakdown: Gets progressively more insane and unstable as the series goes on. [[spoiler:But after discovering for that Sakurai ''isn't'' the Junction Point as he previously believed, he '''''snaps'''''. He tears apart the black calendar he'd been using to plan his attacks, gives all his remaining Imagin physical form, channels everything he's got left into the Death Imagin for an all-out attack on Tokyo. He then proceeds to try and completely erase the entire area from time despite his army still being present.]]
* WellIntentionedExtremist: He implies this in one of his earlier appearances, where he suggests to Ryotaro that killing someone in the past could be a good thing if it makes the future better. [[spoiler:Though this is a lead-up to killing Yuto and trying to trick Ryotaro into not interfering by showing him that it made for a better present.]] In the end, though, [[spoiler:he's doing all of this for the sake of the Imagins' existence, as they'll disappear entirely if the emerging Junction Point is not linked to the Imagin future.]]
* YouHaveFailedMe: [[spoiler:Pulls this on Ryutaros after the latter couldn't bring himself to kill Ryotaro.]] There's a good reason Ryutaros is so scared of him.

[[folder:TV Series Imagin]]

!! Bat Imagin (voiced by Creator/KiyoyukiYanada)

The first Imagin Ryotaro faces, who is based off ''The Bat, the Birds, and the Beasts''. The Bat Imagin possesses a young bully named Tetsuo who has lost a keepsake jinglebell key holder; Tetsuo wishes to have his key holder back, and the Bat Imagin begins assaulting people with jinglebell key holders in hopes that one of them belongs to his contract holder.

----
* BatOutOfHell: A sinister-looking bat monster, whose first on-screen act is carrying a women up in the air to steal her locket and then just drop her down.
* MythologyGag: [[AllThereInTheManual According to the Imagin design book]], his design is a reference to Kamen Rider Knight from Series/KamenRiderRyuki
* OrphansPlotTrinket: He fulfills his contract by hunting down the key holder that Tetsuo's mother got for him before she passed away, which he'd accidentally dropped.
* StarterVillain: The first Imagin Den-O faced.

!! Chameleon Imagin (voiced by Creator/JunichiKanemaru)

An Imagin based off of ''Literature/TheFrogPrince''. His contract holder is a down-on-his-luck musician, Yu, who wishes for "a hell of a lot of money". The Imagin accordingly robs several banks and retrieves the money, enough to completely cover his contract holder in his own apartment.

----

* CurbStompBattle: Because at the time Ryotaro was keeping Momotaros out and didn't know how to fight for himself, the Chameleon easily kicks his ass when they battle in the past. This changes when Momotaros finally takes control.
* HollywoodChameleons: He's based on a chameleon and so can turn completely invisible if he chooses.
* MythologyGag: [[AllThereInTheManual According to the Imagin design book]], his design is a reference to Kamen Rider Verde from Series/KamenRiderRyuki
* WhipItGood: His main weapon is a purple whip, possibly a reference to a chameleon's long tongue.

!! Crust Imagin (voiced by Creator/KyoseiTsukui)

An Imagin based off of ''The Crab and the Monkey''. His contract holder is the young soccer player Daiki, who has been benched after failing to make a crucial goal. Daiki wishes he could play soccer again, and the Imagin plans to accomplish this by taking out all the other players.

----
%%* GiantEnemyCrab
* MythologyGag: [[AllThereInTheManual According to the Imagin design book]], his design is a reference to Kamen Rider Scissors from Series/KamenRiderRyuki
* OneWingedAngel: He's the first of the Imagin to take a giant unstable form during the battle, appearing more like a sea monster.
* WouldHurtAChild: He decided to fulfill his young contract holder's wish to play soccer again by hospitalizing the other school-aged players.

!! Crow Imagin (voiced by Creator/RintaroNishi)

An Imagin based off of ''The Bird in Borrowed Feathers''. His contract holder is a young woman named Yumi, who wishes to forget about a man she used to love. He decides to grant her wish by eliminating all sources of the song that played during their date, as music is a strong reminder.

----
* CreepyCrows: Even his [[NightmareFace face is creepy]].
* CatchPhrase: "Erase!", related to how his contract holder's wish is to forget about the man who she messily broke up with at the altar.
* JackassGenie: His way of fulfilling his contract holder's wish to forget her former love is to destroy all music that she associated with him, culminating in him destroying the musical locket he gave her--even as she begs him not to.
* MythologyGag: [[AllThereInTheManual According to the Imagin design book]], his design is a reference to Kamen Rider Odin from Series/KamenRiderRyuki

!! Rhino Imagin (voiced by Creator/TsuyoshiKoyama)

An Imagin based off of ''The Naked Rhinoceros'''. His contract holder is a professional karate contender named Shinji, who is unsatisfied after his strongest opponent took ill and left him the winner by default. He wishes to be the strongest at karate, and the Imagin knows an easy way to achieve this--take out the other contenders.

----
* CarryABigStick: The mace can launch red energy orbs.
* ExactWords: His contract holder asked to be the strongest at karate. The Rhino Imagin's response was to attack (and cripple) the other contenders, so that technically he ''would'' be the strongest available.
* FashionableAsymmetry: A majority of his right side is fully armored.
* MythologyGag: [[AllThereInTheManual According to the Imagin design book]], his design is a reference to Kamen Rider Gai from Series/KamenRiderRyuki
* RhinoRampage: He's tough enough to give Momotaros a hard time, and has to be defeated by the even-tougher Kintaros.

!! Ivy Imagin (voiced by Creator/KeiichiSonobe)

An Imagin based off of ''Literature/JackAndTheBeanstalk''. His contract holder is the father of the preteen model Kasumi, a man named Kensaku who wishes to be able to see his daughter again. Unfortunately, the Imagin decides to grant this wish by ruining Kasumi's career, which leads the heroes to thinking that the father wished for his daughter's own demise.

----
* PlantPerson: An ivy, to be exact.
* WouldHurtAChild: He attacks Kasumi, a twelve-year-old girl. Most notable because his contract holder is Kasumi's own father, and the heroes are horrified to think that he set the imagin on his own daughter. Although it turns out he's only trying to ruin Kasumi's career and force her to come home, because the man's wish was to "see her again".

!! Owl Imagin (voiced by Creator/TakayaKuroda)

An Imagin based off of ''The Owl and the Birds''. His contract older is a kindly old man named Toyama Shuji, whose only wish is for the city park to be a safe place for the animals. Unfortunately, the Imagin grants this by making sure no humans can use the park, and that those that do are injured for it.

----
* FeatheredFiend: He is based on a white owl.
* FemmeFatalons: His right hand has three claws.
* WouldHurtAChild: While "fulfilling" his contract holder's wish to make the park safe for animals (by keeping people out of it) he tries to attack a woman and her small child approaching the park.

!! Whale Imagin (voiced by Creator/YoheiTadano)

An Imagin based off of ''Literature/{{Pinocchio}}''. His contract holder is a man named Kosaku, who wishes for help with his drinking problem. The Imagin grants this wish by assaulting anyone who ''knew'' of his drinking problem, meaning his former employees and a sake vendor.

----
* MightyGlacier: Not a fast Imagin, but he barely flinches as Momotaros' sword strikes do not seem to affect him that much.
* SmartWhales: Although he is more of a [[TerseTalker slow talker]].

!! Wolf Imagin (voiced by Creator/NobuyukiHiyama)

An Imagin based off of ''Literature/LittleRedRidingHood''. His contract holder is Ryotaro's own former classmate Yuka Sawada, who wishes to be surrounded by nostalgic things after years of schooling in England. He accomplishes this by murdering schoolgirls and giving her their possessions.

----
* AndThenWhat: He succeeds at getting to the past and evading Den-O, but then, unusually for an imagin, he has no idea ''what'' he should attack and gets frustrated trying to pick something. Eventually he decides to destroy ''everything''.
* KickTheDog: Most Imagin are cruel in how they grant their contract holder's wish, but the wolf imagin takes an extra step to menace Sawada and mock her for how "boring" her wish is.
* TheBigBadWolf: His fairy tale is specifically "Little Red Riding Hood", being the wolf of the story.
* WolfMan: He's not technically a wolf or a man, but he is humanoid with a wolfish head.

!! Jelly Imagin (voiced by Creator/RyuseiNakao)

An Imagin based off of ''The Jellyfish Errand''. His contract holder, a bereaved man named Amano, wishes to be able to find his late lover's time capsule to have something to remember her by. Rather than look for the capsule, he decides to force Amano to dig up another one and call it good.

----
* CombatTentacles: They even deliver an [[ShockAndAwe electric shock]].
* ElectricJellyfish: His electric-charged tentacles give Den-O a hard time.
* {{Jerkass}}: One of the cruelest Imagins of the series; his contract holder's wish is to dig up his late love's time capsule, but he forces him (via literal beatings) to accept other time capsules instead because he can't be bothered to look for the real one. Momotaros comments that even the other imagin didn't beat their contract holders as badly as he did.
* WhipItGood: He uses his tentacles as whips.

!! Tortoice Imagin (voiced by Creator/KojiOchiai)

An Imagin based off of ''Literature/TheTortoiseAndTheHare''. A candy vendor named Tanaka makes a wish while in a stupor for his boss, who forced him to sell in a poor location, to suffer. The Imagin assaults Tanaka's boss and puts him in the hospital, but is frustrated when Tanaka doesn't even remember making the wish. Unusually, this Imagin is able to split into two, one being the tortoise and one being the hare.

----
* OneWingedAngel: The two Imagin each turn into giant monsters during the battle against Zeronos and Den-O, one a behemoth and the other a winged creature.
* RascallyRabbit: The Imagin's other twin has this motif.
* SharingABody: They are two Imagins in one, one with a tortoise motif and the other with a rabbit motif (although he looks nearly identical to the other.)
* TurtlePower: The Imagin mainly has a turtle motif, much to Urataros' annoyance.

!! Scorpion Imagin (voiced by Creator/NobutoshiCanna)

An Imagin based off of ''The Boy Hunting Locusts''. His contract holder is a criminal named Masuda, who kidnapped the grandson of the CEO of a company he was fired from. After Sieg takes the baby and leaves, Masuda makes a wish to the Imagin to kidnap the baby's mother instead.

----
* HostageSituation: His contract holder was trying to kidnap and ransom the child of a wealthy woman, and made the contract when he lost the baby.
* LazyBum: His introduction has him asking his contract holder not to make his wish too much work, and he moans and groans through the whole thing while asking people not to make too much work for him.
%%* ScaryScorpions

!! Spider Imagin (voiced by Creator/ChihiroSuzuki)

An Imagin based off of ''Tsuchigumo Story''. He made a contract with a young man named Masashi for his sister to see the starry sky, and plans to kidnap her and tie her to the top of an electric tower. He's apparently defeated by Zeronos, only for it to be revealed that he's another kind of Imagin that can split in two. He makes another appearance later in the series, and in Series/KamenRiderDecade.

----
* ArachnidAppearanceAndAttire: His outfit is black and red with web decorations, and his fingers are fittingly long and thin.
* ExpendableClone: It is later revealed that he cloned himself (albeit with green eyes and his memories intact) to continue the contract holder's wish. However, he went for a differently alternative plan: instead of taking his contract holder's younger sister from the hospital and intending to take her atop of an electric tower to let her see the stars, he decided to cut the power, shutting off all of the electricity in the city as a result.
* SpiderPeople: This Imagin is a variant where he has only four limbs, but multiple eyes and still an ability to spin webs.

!! Molech Imagin (voiced by Creator/HidenoriTokuyama)

An Imagin based off of ''Why the crocodile does not eat hens'' and a partner to the Bloodsucker Imagin. Unlike most Imagin in the series, he isn't interested in going into the past specifically, but in assisting his master Gaoh by distracting Den-O long enough for Gaoh and his associates to hijack the [=DenLiner=]. He contracts with a jewel thief and heads into the past with Den-O in pursuit.

----
* LizardFolk: He seems to be based on an actual spiked reptile, known as the moloch.
* SpikesOfVillainy: He's one of the more sinister Imagin, especially as he has a slightly deeper plan than is usual thanks to his master. He's also covered in spikes.
* ThanatosGambit: He orchestrates a fight with Den-O that leads to his death, knowing that in the time it takes to defeat him Den-O will have lost the [=DenLiner=] to Gaoh.

!! Bloodsucker Imagin (voiced by Creator/NobuoTobita)

An Imagin based off of ''Leeches and Master Kobo'' and a partner to the Molech Imagin. While the Molech Imagin distracted Den-O so Gaoh could steal the [=DenLiner=], the Bloodsucker Imagin was meant to distract Zeronos. To do this, he contracted with a nervous jewel thief named Ike who wanted to get back the jewels he pawned off under his partner's nose. After Gaoh is defeated, the Imagin returns to the standard goal to go to the past and wreak havoc after completing his contract.

----
* BrickJoke: He reappears with one, as he's introduced in the episode before the first movie. After the events of the movie have passed, the characters have forgotten all about him and are celebrating... until the next episode, where Ryoutarou remembers there was still an Imagin they had to clean up.
* DragonTheirFeet: Conveniently off on a contract for someone else when his master is defeated, and as such survives as Gaoh's last enforcer, though by this point he's just doing what he wants.
* EvilLaugh: He laughs liberally through his appearance after he manages to get to the past, especially while he's beating people up.
* EyelessFace: Has no eyes, just a black strip around his face, which makes him all the more creepier.

!! Wasp Imagin (voiced by Creator/ShoutoKashii)

An Imagin based off of ''The Wasp and the Snake''. His contract holder is a petty thief who believes he accidentally murdered someone and wishes to dispose of the body that he left in a building that is now being used for a neighborhood courage test. In truth, the man he "killed" was just knocked out and left the premises--but that doesn't stop the Wasp Imagin from fulfilling the wish, in a way.

----
* BeeAfraid: Well, he's more based on a wasp.
* ExactWords: The thief asked for "the corpse" to be disposed of for his wish. The "corpse" was already long gone from the area, but the Wasp Imagin made due with a fake "corpse". After disposing of that, he declares the contract complete.
* PaletteSwap: The suit worn for the Wasp Imagin is actually a modified version of the suit for the Crust Imagin.
* RoyalRapier: He is seen wielding this.

!! Bluebird Imagin (voiced by Creator/MitsuakiHoshino)

An Imagin based off of ''The Blue Bird''. His contract holder is a young man named Terasaki who split up with his wife and child after he enrolled in working with fireworks against her wishes. He makes a wish for his estranged wife to "see the fireworks", i.e. the first fireworks that he would be firing off.

----
* FeatheredFiend: Based on a bluebird, not a blue jay, despite similar appearances.
* JackassGenie: The contract holder wants his wife to see the fireworks that he'll be setting off. The Imagin takes the phrase "see the fireworks" and interprets it as ''lobbing a fireball'' at her.

!! Rabbit Imagin (voiced by Creator/ToshitsuguTakashina)

Another Imagin based off of ''Literature/TheTortoiseAndTheHare''. Unusually, he's defeated by Den-O early in the episode he appears in, his contract holder being an unlucky man whom he'd hung off a building in order to fulfill his wish to "fly".

----
* PaletteSwap: Of the Tortoice Imagin's rabbit twin.
* RascallyRabbit: He's based on a rabbit, and fulfills his contract holder's wish to "fly" by hanging him off a building and saying he'll "fly" when the rope breaks.
* WeHardlyKnewYe: Unlike most Imagin that get an episode or two to themselves, this one is killed in the first few minutes of the episode to leave room for the Anthopper brothers.
* WhiteBunny: His motif is a white rabbit, even though he still has some tortoise-esque features.

!! Anthopper Imagin (Ari voiced by Creator/KosukeToriumi, Kirigiris voiced by Creator/TomokazuSeki)

An pair of Imagin brothers who are both based off of ''Literature/TheGrasshopperAndTheAnts''. They make a contract with an unscrupulous loan shark named Fujishiro who is seeking to marry Airi, but this is only in order to obtain a physical form. Their true goal is to defeat Den-O directly.

----
* BigCreepyCrawlies: Both brothers have the left side an ant, the right side a grasshopper.
* BlueOniRedOni: Ari's cool-minded Blue and Kirigiris' lunatic Red.
* CoolSword: Ari's sword resembles a shovel, whereas Kirigiris' sword is shaped like a viola.
* IdenticalTwinIDTag: Although they look identical, Ari has a shovel-shaped sword and Kirigiris has a viola shaped sword.
* IHaveYourWife: Possessing Fujishiro, Ari kidnaps Airi to draw Ryotaro out in the second act.
* LaughingMad: Kirigiris, the more wild and sadistic of the two, cackles psychotically during battle.

!! Kraken Imagin (voiced by Creator/TetsuInada)

An Imagin based off of ''The Octopus and The Skull''. He makes a contract with an unknown pianist who wishes for a piano. So of course he gives him one. Unusually, the contract is not completed because the Imagin didn't fulfil the spirit of the wish; the contract holder really wanted to be able to play the piano where his friend--a young man in a coma--could hear i.e. outside his hospital room.

----
* GiantSquid: Krakens are even mentioned to be enormous squids in some real-life myths.
* NiceHat: The fins and point on his head resemble a wide-brimmed hat.

!! Mole Imagin (voiced by Creator/DaisukeKirii (Ax-Hand), Creator/KoichiSakaguchi (Claw-Hand), Creator/AkiraSasanuma (Drill-Hand))

A troop of Imagin based off of ''Thumbelina''. They make a contract with a young man who wanted to beat all the men in a karate dojo--in a singing competition, but that doesn't stop the Imagin from beating them all up to complete the contract. Once there, they reveal themselves to be three Imagins. They serve as a big problem for Ryotaro, whose bond with the Taros and ability to be possessed by them is disintegrating.

----
* DemotedToExtra: They would appear again in later productions as Imagin {{Mooks}}.
* ExactWords: The man they contracted with wished to "beat" the men in a karate dojo--the Imagin just possesses him and makes him beat them all up. What the contract holder really ''wanted'' was to beat them in a ''singing'' competition. Nonetheless, it counts.
* GasMaskMooks: Their rounded lenses make them resemble this trope. The pickelhaube helmets also help.
* {{Homage}}: To the mooks from Series/{{Inazuman}}, from the head designs and claw arms to the tendency to appear three at a time.
* IdenticalTwinIDTag: Their weapons serve as this: One has an ax, one a claw, and one a drill. Otherwise they are identical.

!! Leo Imagin (voiced by Creator/KazuhiroYamaji)

An Imagin based off of ''The Man Who Found a Gold Lion''. Already possessing a physical form, this Imagin serves Kai directly and takes part in his plot to destroy the [=DenLiner=] using Ryutaros.

----
* TheDragon: He served as one to Kai more so than the other Imagin, sticking close to him like a personal bodyguard until his final fight with Den-O
* KingOfBeasts: He is based on a lion.

!! Panda Rabbit Imagin (voiced by Creator/KojiOchiai)

Another Imagin based off of ''Literature/TheTortoiseAndTheHare'', although one not identical to the previous Imagin with this motif.

----
* MixAndMatchCritters: As his name implies, he is a mixture of a rabbit and a panda.
* WeHardlyKnewYe: Much like the White Rabbit Imagin, this one is killed off a few minutes after his introduction, as the episode is really about the Snail Imagin.

!! Snail Imagin (Female voiced by Creator/NanahoKatsuragi, Male voiced by Creator/TakashiIrie)

A pair of Imagin based off of ''The Snail and the Rose Tree'', one male and one female. They are subordinates of Kai and more far deadly than some of their fellows. They are already physically formed but still go into the past and change things for Kai's purposes, the female contracting with Yuto's former teacher.

----
* IHaveYourWife: The male Imagin kidnaps [[spoiler:Kohana under Kai's orders to force Ryotaro to consider joining him.]]

!! Oct Imagin (voiced by Creator/KenjiroTsuda)

Another Imagin based off of ''The Octopus and The Skull''. He makes a contract with a formerly IllGirl named Shouko who has, unfortunately for the Imagin, fallen in love with a Deneb-possessed Sakurai Yuto and who wishes to see him again.

----

!! Armadillo Imagin (voiced by Creator/WataruTakagi)

An Imagin based off of ''La Cancion del Armadillo''.

----
* EpicFlail: One of his weapons.
* MistakenIdentity: Momotaros confused his AnimalMotif as a shrimp. This Imagin immediately corrected that, stating the near-invincible villain is an armadillo.
* RollingAttack: Similar to how an actual armadillo would curl itself into a ball.

!! Albinoleo Imagin (voiced by Takaya Kuroda)

Another Imagin based on ''The Man Who Found a Gold Lion'', this one a stronger white version. When the original Leo Imagin is destroyed, the Albinoleo Imagin serves as Kai's direct subordinate, helping him to eliminate the Junction Point.

----
* TheDragon: He replaces the destroyed Leo Imagin in this role, always staying near Kai and being sent to the past only to do the most important mission that is [[spoiler:killing Airi.]]
* PaletteSwap: Of the original Leo Imagin costume.

!! Snowman Imagin (voiced by Creator/ToruOkawa)

An Imagin based off of ''Frosty the Snowman''. Kai uses him to go to the past and try to discover a seeming discrepancy in Ryotaro's knowledge about Sakurai's disappearance; the Imagin does this by making a contract with a jeweler that Ryotaro bought a watch from about a year ago.

----
* AnIcePerson: He is based on a Snowman.
* ExactWords: The poor jeweler's wish was for him to get all of his stock cleared out. He of course meant by ''selling'' his stock, but the Imagin just took all of his merchandise and threw it out into the street.

!! Death Imagin (voiced by Hiroshi Yanaka)

An Imagin based on ''Death's Messenger''. Kai summons him during the show's finale in order to help him destroy the entire era.

----
* GrimReaper: Along with a double-sided SinisterScythe, it matches, albeit without the black hoodie cloak.
[[/folder]]
[[folder:Movie-Exclusive Imagin]]
!! Cobra Imagin (voiced by Takashi Hagino)

One of Gaoh's henchmen, an Imagin based off of ''The Lucky Farmer Becomes King''. He aids Gaoh in his plot to take over God's Train.

----
* MythologyGag: [[AllThereInTheManual According to the Imagin design book]], his design is a reference to Kamen Rider Ouja from Series/KamenRiderRyuki. It's a more intentional example than the others, since he just so happens to be voiced by Asakura's actor, and [[spoiler: is beaten by Ryotaro while the latter is possessed by Sieg, who's based on Femme (who killed Ouja in ''Episode Final'')]].
* SnakePeople: He is based on a cobra.

!! Salamander Imagin

One of Gaoh's henchmen, an Imagin based off of ''The Story of the Fifth Aztec Sun''. He aids Gaoh in his plot to take over God's Train.

----
* LizardFolk: His motif is that of a salamander.

!! Gecko Imagin

One of Gaoh's henchmen, an Imagin based off of ''The Mystery of the Newt'' along with the Newt Imagin. He aids Gaoh in his plot to take over God's Train.

----
* LizardFolk: His motif is that of a gecko.

!! Newt Imagin

One of Gaoh's henchmen, an Imagin based off of ''The Mystery of the Newt'' along with the Gecko Imagin. He aids Gaoh in his plot to take over God's Train.

----
* LizardFolk: His motif is that of a Newt.

!!Pink Rabbit Imagin

An Imagin that is one of Negataros' followers.

----
* RascallyRabbit: Also colored pink, as its name implies.
* TheVoiceless: Does not speak at all.

!!Clown Imagin (voiced by Chihiro Suzuki)

An Imagin based on ''Pulcinella''.

----
* MonsterClown: He's dressed in vibrant harlequin colors and is clearly meant to be a clown, but he looks like a horrifying stitched up nightmare.

!!Ghost Imagin (voiced by Creator/HiroshiKamiya)

One of Shiro's Imagin followers. He possesses Ryotaro, turning him into A-Ryotaro with a corresponding Kamen Rider Yuuki "Skull Form".

----
* TheDragon: Of the Imagin following Shiro, the Ghost Imagin is the Dragon, and is given the most important role in his plan by possessing Ryotaro.
* OurGhostsAreDifferent: While his motif is that of a ghost, he takes an appearance closer to that of a neon skeleton.

!!Phantom Imagin (voiced by Takuma Takewaka)

One of Shiro's Imagin followers.

----
* PaletteSwap: Of the Snail Imagin.

!!Shadow Imagin (voiced by Creator/TomokazuSugita)

One of Shiro's Imagin followers.

----
* PaletteSwap: A modified variation of the [=AntHopper=] Imagin costume.

!!Piggies Imagin (voiced by Creator/KazuyaNakai, Right Shoulder voiced by Creator/KosukeToriumi, Left Shoulder voiced by Creator/TetsuyaKakihara)

An Imagin based off of ''Literature/TheThreeLittlePigs''. His contract holder is a man named Hiroshi Kikuchi who wishes to be able to impress Airi, whom he made a fool of himself in front of. He attempts to do this by putting Airi into dangerous predicaments for Hiroshi to save her from.

----
* MultipleHeadCase: His shoulder pads have talking faces of their own, which he regards as his younger brothers.
* RescueRomance: This is the wish he must grant; for Airi to be put in danger so that his contract holder can rescue her and look like a "hero".

!!Mantis Imagin (voiced by Creator/MichieTomizawa)

A female Imagin based off of ''The Mantis and the Moon''. Her contract holder is a young woman who seemingly is trying to impersonate another young woman named Miku Uehara in front of Miku's grandmother. In truth, her contract holder is Miku from the future who simply wanted to go back into the past and spend a birthday with her grandmother instead of constantly spending it with her friends.

----
* DualWielding: She wields two sickles shaped like mantis forelimbs.
* SamusIsAGirl: She's initially shown with her body covered by a white sheet, and Momotaros is surprised to learn she's a girl when the covering is removed.
* SetRightWhatOnceWentWrong: Her contract holder's wish is to go back in time and spend her birthday with her grandmother, which she'd put off until it was too late. So the Imagin steals a train pass to allow her to travel back in time.
* SlayingMantis: Her motif is as a mantis, and she's portrayed as pretty fierce and destructive, as well as being introduced as an elusive thief.
* TechnicolorToxin: She can expel a purple gas which poisons whatever it comes in contact with.
