* ObnoxiousInLaws: His interactions with Numbuh 4 in ''[=H.O.T.S.T.U.F.F.=]'' could be seen as a precursor to this, since the SeriesFinale reveals that Numbuhs 3 and 4 do end up getting married as adults.

* BrainyBaby: Despite being only a baby, he is already FamedInStory as the greatest dodgeball player in the world.
* IHaveYourWife: In "Operation: D.O.D.G.E.B.A.L.L.", he is held hostage along with his parents in order to lure Numbuh 4 out so the Dodgeball Wizard can defeat him.

* EnfanteTerrible: Unlike Numbuh Three, she is not as innocent as she appears.

* {{Jerkass}}: He's usually in a sour mood and always complaining about something. He is also a rude houseguest, as shown in "Operation: H.O.T.S.T.U.F.F." when he ransacks Sector V's fridge and drinks all the triple pop soda while staying at the treehouse.

In "Operation: S.P.A.N.K.E.N.S.T.I.N.E.", while Mushi's grounded, Kani yells at her for making too much noise but Genki calms him down (somewhat) by reasoning that the least they can do is let Mushi play in her while she's grounded.

* StrongFamilyResemblance: With her reddish-brown hair, rotund body, glasses and blue apparel, she looks a lot like an older female version of Numbuh 2.

* HairTriggerTemper: He loses his temper very easily, and even the smallest things can set him off.

* ObnoxiousInLaws: His interactions with Numbuh 4 in ''[=HOTSTUFF=]'' could be seen as a precursor to this, since Wally eventually marries his daughter.

* DarkAndTroubledPast: In her and husband's debut episode, Genki claims that she wasn't allowed to play with stuff like dolls and other toys when she was a kid--this would suggest that her parents were probably rather strict.

* MoralityPet: Wally is ''extremely'' protective of him.

* LongLostRelative: The 19th issue of ''Cartoon Network Action Pack'' reveals in the story "Operation: H.I.S.T.O.R.I.E." that the Toiletnator is his long-lost twin brother, which in turn means that the Toiletnator is Numbuh 4's uncle.
* MeaningfulName: "Sydney" is also the name of a city in Australia.

* SignificantDoubleCasting: She shares a voice actress with both of her daughters.

* NiceHat: As "The Tommy", he wears a cool wide-brimmed aht.

* CharacterizationMarchesOn: Operation T.O.M.M.Y. implied she was as much of an engineering genius as her children, but this aspect of her character is never really shown again as she became a simple, slightly neurotic mother in subsequent episodes.

* AmbiguouslyAbsentParent: It isn't clear whether the reason we don't see Numbuh Two's father is because he's deceased or he's simply divorced from Betty. Season 4 Episode 5 Operation: C.A.K.E.D.-F.O.U.R heavily implies his father is dead as hes referred to entirely in past tense.
* TheFaceless: While he does appear in the comic story "Operation: T.R.I.K.E." (which took place when his sons were younger), his face is obscured.

* BatmanGambit: In Operation S.P.A.C.E., during a fight between Cree and Numbah 5, Mushi (who had been providing background music for said fight) calls the two of them out on their rivalry. This leads to a heartfelt moment that lowers Cree's guard long enough for Numbah 5 to toss her into the garbage chute and send her off into space...which, to Numbah 5's surprise, Mushi actually counted on.

* ImprobableWeaponUser: She flings handfuls of crayons at Hoagie during their confrontation in "Operation: S.P.A.N.K.E.N.S.T.I.N.E". Sounds silly, but somehow they're sharp enough to pierce bullet-sized holes in her bedroom door.

* MadScientist: In "Operation: S.P.A.N.K.E.N.S.T.I.N.E", she constructs an elaborate device in her room that drains Count Spankulot's spanking power and injects it into Kuki's dead Rainbow Monkey, turning it into a giant rampaging spanking zombie.

* ObfuscatingStupidity: She acts even more ditzy than Numbah 3, but only to hide a truly devious and sinister mind. This is even prevalent in her debut episode, where to [[OnlySaneMan Numbah 5]]'s surprise, she intentionally talked Cree (who Numbah 5 was fighting at the time) into lowering her guard long enough for the former to finish the fight. This came after she played the standard AnnoyingYoungerSibling role for the brunt of the episode.
* PuppyLove: With King Sandy during and after the events of Operation: K.A.S.T.L.E.
* UnholyMatrimony: After Operation: C.R.I.M.E., she gleefully embraces her villainy and flees from home along with King Sandy, another recurring antagonist.

* NotSoStoic: Her stern facade briefly cracks when she shows sadness about her unhappy childhood in "Operation: C.L.U.E.S."

** In "Operation: D.O.D.G.E.B.A.L.L.", he is being held hostage by the Dodgeball Wizard with his wife and younger son (as in, they are literally tied to a post), and he thinks it's just a magic show.

** The one exception is "Operation: M.A.T.A.D.O.R.", where he is completely aware that he and the other dads have been kidnapped and are in a terrifying position.

* TheFaceless: Whenever he is present, his face is always out of frame. His character model, as revealed by behind-the-scenes material, reveals he never even had eyes drawn.

* LethalChef: She can make a soup that doubles as a hand grenade strong enough to ''blow up a school.'' Not helping things is that she won't listen to others who criticize her cooking (to be fair said criticizing is almost entirely through insults) and that she herself actually finds the food she makes to taste good.

* TheRival: To Numbuh Two. It turns into a FriendlyRivalry after they realize they were being manipulated into fighting each other by [[spoiler:Mr. Washer]].

* YouKnowWhatYouDid: In "Operation: D.O.G.F.I.G.H.T." [[spoiler: He blames Numbah 2 for destroying all of the chili dog factories in town. Unbeknownst to him, Numbah 2 is only after him for the sake of his own pride, and the true culprit is Mr. Washer.]]

* FaceDeathWithDignity: When Maurice turns 13, he accepts his decommissioning and the loss of his memories. Note that Maurice is the only KND agent show in the series who accepts his decommissioning, where others betray the KND when they turn or before they turn 13 years old. Because Maurice accepts his decommissioning, he is rewarded with his reputation and legacy being left intact, with all of his former teammates and fellow operatives sending him off with honor. Note that even Numbuh 86, a boy hater and Head of Decommissioning, treats him with respect and is sad to see him go. It is implied that because he loyally accepts his fate, [[spoiler: he is allowed to keep his memories and become part of a secret sect of teenagers who are still loyal to the KND and do undercover work to help them from behind the scenes.]]

* KarmicJackpot: Maurice. Because he accepts his decommissioning and the loss of his memories, he is rewarded with his reputation and legacy being left intact, with all of his former teammates and fellow operatives sending him off with honor. [[spoiler: He also is allowed to keep his memories and become part of a secret sect of teenagers who are still loyal to the KND and doing undercover work to help them from behind the scenes. Meaning that he is also able to keep his promise to track down the source of the chicken pox used by the teenagers and destroy it.]]
* TheMole: [[spoiler:He was never truly decommissioned and his typical teen attitude is all an act so he can spy on the teens for the K.N.D]]
* NiceGuy: Very popular with the KND for his personality. His decommission is quite heartbreaking for the organization[[spoiler: (at least for those who don't know that he's a TND-agent)]].

* SurprisinglyRealisticOutcome: {{Subverted|Trope}}. It at first appeared that his acclaim and trustworthy nature didn't keep him from being decommissioned, despite Numbuhs 86 and 362 both appearing very sad in having him so. But it turns out [[spoiler:it actually ''had'' and he was instead moved to another, little-known section of the KND for the most skilled and trustworthy operatives called ''The Teens Next Door'' which spies on teen meetings to gather information for the KND.]]

* CannotTellALie: Owing to her role as a teacher, she'll always give an honest answer to any question asked of her, only to quickly follow up with "I shouldn't have said that!" when she realizes she's divulged too much. Numbuh 4 of all people has exploited this multiple times for pop quizzes and then [[spoiler: to discover how to cure Were-Dogism]].
* ChekhovsGun: In Operation H.O.U.N.D. she doesn't want Numbah 4 to share his project aloud because she just ate. While it seemed like an innocuous comment on his poor work, [[spoiler:it's actually a hint at her Weredog nature as they are disgusted by poor-homework]].
* EvilTeacher [[spoiler: Only due to the were-dog necklace. She gets better once it is removed.]]
* {{Foreshadowing}}: In her first appearance in Operation H.O.M.E.W.O.R.K., she's wearing a ring on her finger hinting that she's married. When she reappears in Operation H.O.U.N.D., she's no longer wearing it.
* HotTeacher: Numbah 4 has a not-so-subtle crush on her for this reason.

* NoSell: She reveals [[spoiler:that bad homework can't stop her, as she easily eats 4's terrible papers with a laugh]]. It's odd considering she expressed disgust at the very same work in a previous episode, though maybe she just grown used to it. Or perhaps that she ''can'' consume it, but she prefers not to- it's physically possible for people to eat food they don't like, but would still rather not. Ultimately, the true reason is not revealed.
