* GuileHero: Jolyne is deceptively clever for it to easily be mistaken for her being insanely lucky rather than her using her wits. Not only does she have what is the weakest stand out of the previous three parts main Jojos[[note]]Star Platinum is a StoryBreakerPower even before it gets the ability to stop time, Crazy Diamond is repeatedly implied to be equal or a bit stronger than Star Platinum with the addition using its environment to its advantage, Gold Experience can be an AttackReflector and additionally gains even more of a StoryBreakerPower[[/note]] but uses Stone Free's more simple abilities in a wide variety of ways, and abuses the fact it can be channeled through her own body to give her more opportunities to defeat her opponents that think they have her in a corner. She's quite pragmatic, CuttingTheKnot when she can, laying low until her enemies think she is defeated before striking, even being willing (with some regret) to use her own allies to defeat or hinder her opponents. Pucci himself outright admits he underestimated how dangerous she truly is.

* EasilyForgiven: Subverted, unlike other protagonists, Jolyne makes it very clear that any attempt to betray her trust ''will'' result in her holding onto the grudge as long as she pleases.

* PlayingPossum: After narrowing surviving a rainfall of poisonous frogs, she wraps herself in dozens of them to fool Pucci as he locates Jotaro's disc.

* SwissArmySuperpower: Jolyne's used her Stand ability to unravel her body to extend herself, listen in on conversations using the vibrations of her string, capture people in a net, sew up wounds, weave it into clothes as a disguise, make mobius strips of her own body, make net barriers, use string as a grappling hook of sorts, use as a snare and tightly pack it for a destructive, fast punch.

* AmbiguouslyBi: Expresses envy at the fact that snails don't have to take gender into account when looking for sexual partners, implying she's had problems with IncompatibleOrientation in the past. Earlier than that, her utterly shameless behavior when ordered to strip search meant that she has no problem with women looking at her in sexual ways.

* BreakingOldTrends: Jolyne is the first Joestar protagonist in the series to be a girl. She is also the first (and so far only) stand using Jojo to be skilled in fighting outside of of RapidFireFisticuffs.

* ContrastingSequelMainCharacter: Both Bruno Bucciarati and Ermes ended up involving themselves in criminal activities out of a love for a relative (Bucciarati with his father, Ermes with her sister) and even managed to fight back toward those who harmed them, albeit under different circumstances. While Bucciarati is more an important player to the plot of ''Golden Wind'', even more so than Giorno, here Ermes' is sidelined for a third of the story [[spoiler:after defeating Sports Maxx until her breakout from Green Dolphin Street Prison]].
** Both Sticky Fingers and Kiss are powerful, close-range Stands with versatile abilities that allows a form of DetachmentCombat for the users to prevail. Sticky Fingers' zippers allow for Bucciarati to unzip any object or man alike, while Kiss utilizes its stickers to duplicate items and have them violently combine back when removed.

* ArtEvolution: In the manga, Stone Free started out with [[https://vignette.jojowiki.com/images/2/24/latest/20220925022203/Stone_Free_Infobox_Manga.png a robotic-looking face]], eventually gaining a more human facial features in the form of a nose and mouth, with the latter design being used in the anime.

One of the most cringe-inducing is the part where he only remembers the last three things he learned after a certain point, so he repeatedly touches an electrified puddle of water, screaming and crying in agony. Each time, the only thing he remembers are the things he must do to help Jolyne, so he repeats the process again... and again... and again.

* TokenNonHuman: The heroes' team has badass women, badass men, and badass... corpse-possessing plankton?

* OlderThanTheyLook: Weather looks like a young man, but turns out to be 39, just like his twin brother Pucci. In fact, he's only a year younger than Jotaro!

* AxCrazy: His obsession with "taking things apart" doesn't stop at inanimate objects...

* ItAllMyFault: [[spoiler:She holds herself responsible for the incapacitation of Jotaro, and the deaths of F.F. and Weather, despite the fact it's pretty much Pucci alone responsible for these tragedies.]]

* BreakingOldTrends: Jolyne is the first Joestar protagonist in the series to be a girl. She is also the first (and so far only) Jojo to be skilled in fighting outside of of RapidFireFisticuffs.

* NoSell: She manages to use her abilities to effectively nullify the effect of [[spoiler:C-Moon. Transforming any part of her body that gets hit by C-Moon's inverting gravity punches with strings, she ties them up into a Moebius strip so that if it starts to turn inside out, it won't have effect since Moebius strips don't technically ''have'' an inside out]].

* SpellMyNameWithAnS: She signs her name "Jolyne Cujoh" and "CUJOH JOLYNE" appears in English text in the original Japanese manga, but most of the English-speaking fandom (and the French edition, for some reason) kept the romanization of her name identical to Jotaro's despite all evidence to the contrary.

* SpellMyNameWithAnS: For years, people used "Hermes" or "Hermès" as that was the name of the fashion label she was named after. ''JOJOVELLER'' and her S.A.S action figure corrected that.
