Unlike previous Skullgirls (such as Queen Nancy and Selene Contiello) Marie has been trying to fight its influence the entire time and just focus on the Medicis, which in turn lowered her overall power. Now that she's no longer in danger of losing herself to the Skull Heart's influece and has full control over her powers, she might just become even more powerful than any Skullgirl previously.

* NotEvilJustMisunderstood: She's mistaken as one of Marie's undead servants by Parasoul, prompting the Hope's Peak team to intervene on her behalf.

* ItHasBeenAnHonor: He and the undead Grendel have one last fight. After Beowulf wins, Grendel basically says this to Beowulf, living behind his intact for the wreslter to use as his own (basically giving him access to the Gigantic Arm Blockbuster).
* SeeTheInvisible: He doesn't have any sort of supernatural affinity, but he can still determine a Stand user thanks to years of training giving him AuraVision.
* ShockwaveStomp: With his whole body! Beowulf smashes a few flying zombies with a moonsault of such power the result shockwave takes out a few more undead.
* WorthyOpponent: He and Grendel thought this of each other, with each of them having their fair share of victories over the other. Which is why Beowulf was enraged when he learned their last fight was rigged in his favor, especially since it resulted in Grendel's death.

We'd learn about what Valentine was talking about during the third arc.
* HighlyVisibleNinja: Lampshaded, as Valentine admits she's better at combat than stealth ops.
* NormalFishInATinyPond: She's easily stronger than most normal people, but the fact that she loses against Gigans while other people such as Hamon users, Stand users, and humans with CharlesAtlasSuperpower levels of strength win against such powerhouses, it shows that she's not as strong as she'd like to think she is.

* ProudBeauty: To the point where she made her measurements a passcode to Lab Zero.
* UnderestimatingBadassery: She had been convinced that all of Beowulf's wins against Grendel were fixed, since she'd fought Gigans before and was never able to win. But it turns out Beowulf is a lot stronger than she realized, and proves it when he goes toe-to-toe with Chiaki and is able to pull out a victory.
