A Coluan cyborg and self-proclaimed scientist, Brainiac has taken it upon himself to preserve and record as much knowledge as can be gained in the universe -- primarily by destroying civilized worlds he believes to be on the verge of collapse while also shrinking and bottling their surviving populaces in their major cities. His destructive activities have since garnered him immense infamy for over the past centuries, yet his calculating intelligence, technological defenses, and elusiveness have continually stymied all previous attempts by opposing parties to subdue him. What remains of Remnant's population are now in his custody, save for a handful of fugitive Huntsmen and Huntresses named Teams RWBY and JNPR.

A Coluan cyborg and self-proclaimed scientist, Brainiac has taken it upon himself to preserve and record as much knowledge as can be gained in the universe -- primarily by seeking civilized worlds and calculating whether said worlds are verging on total collapse. Civilizations that meet his criteria have their populations herded into major settlements by force, whereupon he shrinks the populated cities for bottling while destroying the planet behind him. His destructive activities have since garnered him immense infamy for over the past centuries, and is a wanted fugitive by the Green Lantern Corps.

* UltimateShowdownOfUltimateDestiny: During his fight against the Titans after he takes over a movie studio, he brings to life several iconic movie villains and armies to serve as his mooks. He had Nazis, Dinosaurs, the Xenomorph, the Predator, a T-800, Orcs, King Kong, zombies, and the Stay Puft Marshmallow Man from Ghostbusters, among others. The most powerful of them, however, and the only one to give the heroes an actual fight was Darth Vader himself.

* ItsPersonal: Salem hates Brainiac so much that it exceeds her hatred for Ozpin. Brainiac undid centuries of work and planning, reducing her efforts to nothing by destroying Remnant. However, thanks to the curse placed upon her, she survived the planet's collapse, and had she not made the Monstra to protect herself and her followers, she'd be in the void of space, cursed to suffer forever until the end of time. Salem admits that if Ozpin arrived with a plan to kill the Coluan, she'd take [[spoiler:her former husband]] back with open arms.
