He also tried to kill Peter in various ways such as pushing him off a steep hill or throwing him into a mailbox. * UnreliableNarrator: He seems to think that he does the majority of the chores while Peter gets do whatever he wants, but episodes in which he tries to be better behaved show that there are some chores that are Peter's sole responsibility. With all the times Henry is forced to clean the entire house its possible he DOES actually have a larger workload, but only because its usually him who makes the mess in the first place.

* HatesReading: Henry likes to read comics but doesn't like reading books. In fact, in "Horrid Henry Reads a Book", he has to read a bunch of books for a project and ends up reading one reluctantly and making a bunch of others up.

* WhyDidItHavetoBeSnakes?: She's afraid of spiders. This is how Henry defeats her in Horrid Henry and the Bogey Babysitter.

* AdaptedOut: The only major characters to not appear in the show. It’s mentioned that Grandma died when Henry was a Toddler.

* WhatHappenedToTheMouse: He is Great Aunt Greta’s brother and made 2 other appearances. He was seen in a flashback with Old Olive, which could mean they are married, and in the Old People’s Home, suggesting he lives there. You’d think he might get more attention as Great Aunt Greta’s brother, and as such Mum’s uncle and Henry and Peter’s great uncle.

* CainandAbel: The Cain to Henry's Abel.

** In “Horrid Henry Delivers the Milk”, when Henry sees what a lousy job Paul has and all the oppression he has to go through everywhere he goes, he actually has a JerkassRealization and decides to be nicer to Paul from now on.

* AdaptedOut: Doesn't appear in the series despite being mentioned a lot and is one of Henry's best friends in the books.

* VocalDissonance: Her voice is very low for a female.

* AdaptationalNiceGuy: Henry is still a troublemaker in the TV series but some of his more disturbing and TroublingUnchildlikeBehavior is omitted from the show. Justified as a child physically attacking their younger brother, bullying other kids [[ForTheEvulz just for their own amusement]] and admitting to outright hating their own parents wouldn't fly on a kids' show.

* JerkWithAHeartOfGold: Despite her occasionally unfair treatment towards Henry, she does truly care for him and the rest of her family, shown when she rushes to Henry’s side when he has a nightmare and is truly scared when she finds out Henry ran away and they accidentally left him home alone. She will also punish Peter if he needs to be punished. She’s just trying to prevent her eldest son from ending up in further, more serious trouble.

Henry and his families next door neighbour and Henry’s arch nemesis. As well as Henry living next door to Henry, she is in his class as well. She is very vain and is spoiled by her parents who she treats like slaves.

* {{Alpha Bitch}}: Margaret is very popular with the girls in her class, being a star football player at Ashton Primary, having access to pretty much anything with her wealth, and having lots in common with most of the girls in her class. However, at times to her friends she’s {{The Friend Nobody Likes}}, and especially to Henry’s family, who even admit Henry is easier-going than her.

* TheFriendNobodyLikes: Even moreso than Henry. Henry’s family even makes it perfectly clear that they are better off with Henry instead of Margaret.

* {{Girly Girl with a Tomboy Streak}}: Margaret may be vain and feminine, but she is as tough as nails and loves playing football.

* {{Brainy Brunette}}: Linda has brown hair and is implied to be very intelligent. Miss Battle-Axe once cornered her with a difficult maths question and though she had been asleep, Linda managed to answer perfectly when waking up (possibly not even hearing Miss Battle-Axe).

* {{Ambiguously Bi}}: Although Gurinder and Soraya do show friendships with the boys and maybe even crushes on Henry and Ralph, they are obviously very close with each other. They are comfortable sleeping in the same bed as shown at Moody Margaret’s sleepover and at ballet once when Henry was causing trouble, they just stopped and stared at one another.

However, in the cartoon, though Margaret loves Football, she’s also interested in Makeup and fashion, while Susan is quite the Tomboy.

She gradually gets better with this issue as the series progresses, but is still very confused. It can be presumed that Greta has some form of dementia.
