* HesBack: One day while he's among the Lost Boys, the baseball ball that Jack hit a homerun with hits his head. He sees his shadow come back and finds his old tree house that was destroyed by Hook after his departure. Peter's memories come back at that moment as, with Tinker Bell's help, he remembers why he went to the normal world and grew up: he wanted to become a father. With this particularly happy thought, he becomes Peter Pan again and can fight, fly and crow again, and regains everyone's respect, Rufio included.

* WoundedGazelleGambit: He pulls one on Peter during their duel; when Peter knocks him down, it appears as though he might be finished, but rather than finishing Hook off, Peter offers him his sword to allow him to continue fighting honorably. How does Hook respond? By slashing Peter across the arm with his hook. Clearly he was waiting to lull Peter into a false sense of security in order to weaken him.

* AntagonistInMourning: While Peter Pan isn't dead, the Crocodile is, and in the absence of his two {{archenem|y}}ies, Hook has become a sullen mess whose greatest remaining pleasures are making empty suicide threats and sending underlings to the "Boo Box". He ''badly'' wants one last glorious war with Peter Pan, to the death, and is genuinely shaken when he discovers that Peter is now an out-of-shape middle aged cowardly man with no memory of Neverland.

* TheResenter: By the midpoint of the film, Jack is so angry at his dad for being as neglectful as he's been that he has no problem smashing a watch he gave him to pieces with a hammer, before smashing one clock for each time he felt slighted by him. At this point, Hook has manipulated Jack into believing that his father ''never'' cared about him at all.

It works until Hook kills Rufio, allowing Jack to see Hook for the monster he truly was.
