'''''Arena of Valor'' counterpart:''' N/A

to:

'''''Arena of Valor'' counterpart:''' N/AN/A[[labelnote:*]]Shares several skill similarities with Volkath, but ultimately, their ultimates make them vastly different characters.[[/labelnote]]

'''Original Information:''' Yang Jian is one of the many aliases of the deity Erlang Shen, nephew of the Jade Emperor Yu Huang. He possesses a mythical third eye and a heavenly hound for his pet. An accomplished warrior, he participated in many legendary battles, from aiding the Zhou rebel army to topple the declining Shang Dynasty to various skirmishes against or alongside Sun Wukong.
----
* AttackDrone: His third eye is actually the hovering drone around him. It can shoot lasers.
* YouWillNotEvadeMe: If an enemy is marked by his hound, it doesn't matter where they are as long as Yang Jian is nearby; he can simply teleport right next to them and start kicking ass.

Added DiffLines:

----
* BareFistedMonk: He draws inspiration from various martial arts/wuxia fictions, in particular the bare-fisted martial arts style. Zhao Huaizhen's skills look like graceful, flowing martial arts at work.
* ChildhoodFriends: He's a childhood bestie with Yun Ying. However, so far, he's neither [[VictoriousChildhoodFriend victorious]] nor [[UnluckyChildhoodFriend unlucky.]] He's just something of a big brother figure.

Added DiffLines:

----
* BrutishCharacterBrutishWeapon: As a tomboy, savage lady (who somehow becomes a martial arts instructor in Jixia Academy), Zhong Wuyan is armed with a big hammer.
* SpinAttack: She's the one who handles the 'spin to win' skill, although it's limited to her ultimate.
* TakenForGranite: Her hammer is imbued with petrification power, which immobilizes the enemies. This is not passed down to her counterpart in ''VideoGame/ArenaOfValor'', who compensated with slow.
* TomboyAndGirlyGirl: She's the tomboy lady of Jixia Academy when compared with Xi Shi. There used to be another tomboy in the academy (Ji Xiaoman), but she has left for a long time.

Tropes for several characters.

----
* FourStarBadass: He commands a legion of spear-wielding soldiers who arrive on his beck and call, and he's also a high-ranking officer of the Qin Empire.

----
* SoMuchForStealth: On activating his ultimate, Nezha will temporarily reveal the locations of every enemy. For those dependent on stealth, this means bad news.
* YouWillNotEvadeMe: In the second part of his ultimate, Nezha flies and homes to the enemy; thus, they cannot evade him at all unless Nezha stops mid-way.

to:

----
* TheGiant: Pan Gu is one of the biggest heroes out there. Though he's not fat, he's muscular enough to show that he can dish out damage as big as his body.
* HardLight: He shapes his weapons out of nowhere and creates them using a solid light.
* TheMaker: Just like in the original myth, Pan Gu is the creator of the ''Honor of Kings'' world, standing above even Nu Wa.

to:

----
* ShockAndAwe: Sikong Zhen prefers a more hands-on approach to shocking his enemies with thunder generated from his body.
* StanceSystem: While his skills never change, his normal attacks depend on where he's located. While normally a ranged attacker, if he's close to his target, Sikong Zhen becomes a melee attacker with his (thunder-powered) fists, gaining benefits such as splash damage.
* SuperMode: On activating his ultimate, Sikong Zhen will become a superpowered version of himself, with more thunder to deliver and generally dealing more damage.

Tropes for Ma Chao and a short fix for Meng Qi

----
* DifficultButAwesome: Widely regarded as one of the most difficult heroes to handle in ''Honor of Kings''. Playing as Ma Chao requires you to calculate where to throw your spears, the best way to pick them up without enemies beating you up, and where you look before you dash (otherwise you dash to the enemy ranks without any dashes, and you're in for a beating). Once you get past that hurdle, Ma Chao proves to be an astonishing LightningBruiser; sturdy and hard-hitting as a warrior yet possessing an infinite amount of dashes.
* JavelinThrower: While he can attack up close with his spears, Ma Chao's skillset involves throwing his spears like a javelin and picking them up to be thrown again.
* MindOverMatter: His ultimate skill grants him some sort of telekinesis for his spears: He can direct the spears he planted in the ground to come back to him and strike every enemy in his way.

----

* Dreamweaver: A bubbly type, it creates sweet dreams with bubbles and devours nightmares with its friends.
* HitandRunTactics: Its ultimate was meant to be so, fly in, dish out all the damage it can deal with and fly away.

Tropes for Lao Fuzi...

Added DiffLines:

----
* CoolOldGuy: This old man is one of the most respected teachers at Jixia Academy. [[CrouchingMoronHiddenBadass Never mind the way he falls flat on his face in his opening animation.]]
* OldMaster: He's old and ready to dispense wisdom as well as a beating of a lifetime.
* YouWillNotEvadeMe: He has two variants:
** The first is his first skill, where he drags the opponent in front of him to himself. The range is shorter than Zhong Kui's signature hook, so he can only reel in in enemies who haven't run that far.
** The second is his ultimate. After charging, he creates a circle that the opponent cannot escape from, therefore, they have no choice but to fight back while being debuffed.

'''Original Information:''' A noted bodyguard of [[UsefulNotes/ThreeKingdomsShuWeiWu Liu Bei of Shu]], Zhao Yun is a renowned spearman that used to serve the warlord Gongsun Zan, until he saw Liu Bei and was drawn to him. His accomplishment in history was more lowkey, he never did something of note, however it was known that he's a dutiful soldier. The ''Literature/RomanceOfTheThreeKingdoms'' novel, however, propelled him into something even greater, where he's an ace soldier with many great accomplishments, most notably when he single-handedly tore through the ranks of Cao Cao's men to rescue Liu Bei's infant son Liu Shan and delivered him unharmed, and afterwards becoming one of the most powerful generals of Liu Bei, earning a spot in the Five Tiger Generals.

'''In-game Bio:''' Formerly a mercenary of a group known as "Dragon" who went under the codename "Shadow". The mercenary leader, Loong, lent his services to Cao Cao, but refused to join as a permanent member of the Wei army, so Cao Cao stoked his ambitions to rise above the rest, by attempting to defeat the mighty Lu Bu. Shadow, however, did not trust Cao Cao. When he failed to persuade Loong, he left the the "Dragon". Loong's overconfidence proved to be his downfall as Lu Bu slaughtered his men despite Loong's scheming. In the last moments, Shadow returned and helped him slay Lu Bu, but amongst the "Dragon" mercenary group, only Shadow and Loong remained.\\\

Shadow vanished afterwards. Later on, during the battle between Wei and Shu in Changban Bridge, a similar spear of lightning descends to strike at the Wei army. Such technique could only be wielded by Shadow himself. However, he no longer goes by that name. He declares that his new name is Zhao Yun (stylename: Zilong), and he will oppose Cao Cao by aligning with the Shu leader Liu Bei.
----
* AdaptationRelationshipOverhaul: He's listed as an old friend of Diaochan, as she used to belong to the "Dragon" mercenary group (and was one of the instruments in defeating Lu Bu), although as of now, they walk separate ways. In the novels, they are complete strangers; Zhao Yun was introduced after Diaochan vanished from the story.
* BigDamnHeroes:
** In lore, many, many times, he arrives just in the nick of time to save the day, either on Loong when fighting Lu Bu or the Shu army in the Changban Bridge.
** In gameplay, he has two mobility tools to traverse the battlefield quick enough. One of them, his ultimate, also knocks up nearby enemies, giving him opportunities to zip in as a reinforcement in the nick of time.
* BlueIsHeroic: To amp up his heroic image, the scarf he wears is colored blue.
* KnightInShiningArmor: The archetypical Chinese dashing warrior draped with silver armor.
* ThatManIsDead: As far as he's concerned, Shadow is dead. There's only Zhao Yun from now on.

* LethalChef: She is NOT a great cook. As Baili Shouyue leaves her a cookbook with guides of how to cook she does it another way believing it will taste the same. Such as: Not drying wet vegetables and toss them into a wok of boiling oil, adding too much soy sauce thinking more will taste better, and a full Ladle of salt as opposed to a smaller teaspoon, Kai was the first ever victim of her cooking.
