* ArcherArchetype: The first archer character in the game, she entertains the image of a somber, spy-type loner and mostly serves as a support unit in combat.

* DragonAscendant: Vita bides her time during the climatic battle against her form master, remaining in hiding until Sa is defeated and forced to retreat. Vita betrays her master and claims the "Eyes" for herself, though whether she will continue culling bubble universes or do something else remains unknown. She parts ways with the protagonists on relatively peaceful terms, with no indication of what she intends to do next.

* ButtMonkey: He mostly serves as a comic figure where jokes and hijinks are made at his expense.
** In the anniversary summer event, he was forced to become a receptionist at the miHoYo building; there's an event stage set in the building, with him sitting on the reception's desk. He apparently can be attacked by your playable character; this does nothing negative gameplay-wise, but it does lead to him reacting funnily.
** In the "Odd Drifter" event, it's implied that the dead patron in the Pavilion is him, and he was thought to be murdered, but it turns out that he only died by slipping on a BananaPeel...that is, if you take Rita’s explanation at face value.
** There are 2 live action videos that feature him; the first one has him being trapped inside an out-of-control Baldur robot, the second one has him being unwillingly used to fight Assaka. A third video is also made when he fights Durandal with "gacha power", only to lose and get impaled in the posterior for his troubles.
* TheFaceless: His "face" is only a pair of eyebrows and the hanzi for "Wei".
* FingerTenting: His NPC model in dialogue shots is locked into this pose.
* RichesToRags: The anniversary summer event shows him being reduced to walking on the streets after Bronya buys a significant amount of miHoYo's stocks in order to take over the company. One story of the event focuses on you trying to help him get back to be the head of the company again, although he's thwarted in the end.
* RunningGag: Almost always, whenever he appears, he says that he’s sold something that he owned in order to give you certain goodies.
* SharpDressedMan: He wears the standard 3-piece suit.

A little girl that Mei and Tesla find in the ruins of Nagazora City. She's part of "the Roost", the refugee community in said ruins, built at high elevations to avoid the flooded part of the city and the Honkai Beasts.

* DelicateAndSickly: She's covered in bandages, has one arm in a sling, and is constantly hooked to an IV drip that her robot carries around. Raven says that she (and the other kids) was born with incomplete stigmata; this helps them surviving the Honkai, but they would suffer withdrawal if there is little to no Honkai energy around them. They need regular medication to slowly activate the stigmata within them; Raven says that this is the least risky method to help them, and that World Serpent can help her with supplying.
* DoesntKnowTheirOwnBirthday: A consequence of her amnesia is that she forgot when her birthday was, although the information found by her "sensei" and stored in Mark II made her aware of that part of her past.
* DramaticIrony: In ch. 17, when Mei tells her that the former and Kiana "ran into some problems", she suggests Mei to [[ComfortFood give Kiana some curry]] as it made the refugee kids happy. However, when Mei comes back to her place, she eavesdrops on Kiana revealing herself to Einstein and Tesla that she already knows [[LockedOutOfTheLoop the things Mei tried to hide from her]], and this (and the fact that Kiana also hides things from Mei) saddens Mei greatly. She then tries to cook curry for Kiana; the latter claims that it's "spicy" as always. When Mei walks out, she says that it's not a spicy curry - so that means Kiana is again acting happily in front of her (because Kiana has lost her sense of taste). In short, Sora's suggestion of making curry for Kiana to make her happy ends up with Kiana only ''pretending'' to be happy, giving Mei more problems and making her more distressed.
* EscortMission: One stage each in ch. 16 and 17 have you as Mei escorting Sora, and you have to fight the Honkai Beasts that are in your way. Sora won't be hurt as she will conveniently "disappear" when a fight occurs.
* HeroWorshipper: She adores her "sensei" very much for having saved her from the Honkai disaster and then taking care of her, teaching her many things so that she can live well and stay safe in the ruins. The other children of the Roost think similarly.
* HidingBehindYourBangs: Her pink hair covers her left eye. Her overall appearance gives her an image of a gloomy, downtrodden girl, but her personality subverts it.
* InTheHood: She wears a dark blue and black hoodie.
* MoralityPet: She's one (among the other refugees) for her "sensei", Raven. Despite being part of World Serpent and working as its assassin, she shows that she indeed cares for the innocent people in need. When she comes to the Roost in ch. 16, she has an argument with Mei about Kiana that escalates into a fight because Mei wants to protect her friend from Raven, who aims to kill Kiana because [[spoiler:she's a Herrscher]]. It's only stopped when [[LittleBrotherIsWatching Sora comes out]], asks her why she's fighting Mei who has been kind to them, and why she's not allowing Mei to reunite with her friend. In the end, Raven relents and agrees to help Mei out.

The English translation goes with the former, and most of the Japanese playerbase assumed that to be the reading as well, but it's later announced that "Kuu" is how it's officially pronounced.
* TeruTeruBozu: One event for chapter 16 will have you collect "Sora's Bouzu" as the event currency to buy goodies. In ch. 17, Sora gives her bouzu to Mei, saying that she prayed to it every day that she can one day leave Nagazora and see the outside world; now that it has come true (her "sensei" has found another better place for the refugees to move into), she decides to give it to Mei, wishing for her wish to come true as well.
* TraumaInducedAmnesia: it's implied that the Honkai eruption 3 years ago (the Third Honkai Impact) caused her to lose her memories. She could only know a few pieces of her past from the information that her "sensei" searched out for her. While her life might have been ordinary as she claims, she's still grateful that she can have access to her past, that it makes her feel "alive" even though her memories didn't actually come back.
