* OutOfFocus: In Ch. 9-EX2, the heroes' group [[LetsSplitUpGang split up]]; Mei and Dr. Tesla goes to find Kiana while Bronya, Theresa and Dr. Einstein goes to the Eye of the Deep. Ch. 10 focuses on the latter group, leaving Mei offscreen for 2 chapters.

** In the end of her side story "Dilemma Dreamland", Bronya (inside her mind) tells Fu Hua that (the ability to) enter other people's minds isn't something to be proud of. * MyDeathIsJustTheBeginning: [[spoiler:In Chapter 9, Otto seemingly shoots her dead with a replica of Judgment of Shamash. Later, she shows up as a ghost (in her Phoenix outfit), guiding Himeko to get the Vermilion Knight battlesuit stored in Helheim Labs, in order to gain an edge against Herrscher of the Void [[SpannerInTheWorks and halt Otto's plans]]. After thanking Himeko for all of her teachings and wishing farewell, she vanishes for good. It's implied (retroactively, from the reveal in ch. 9-EX2) that this ghost is just one of Fu Hua's "feathers" instead of the real her, but the trope is still in play as the real Fu Hua was shown "dropping feathers" onto Himeko when the latter was unconscious.]]

* EnemyMine: In ch. 9-EX2 she asks the Valkyrie team for cooperation in preventing the Gem of Desire from falling into Schicksal's hands.

* TheMole: In ch. 9-EX2, Einstein and Tesla talk about Cocolia with the Valkyries. After the 2nd Honkai War, Anti-Entropy formed contracts with many companies in order to support them, one of them being Mikoyan Design Bureau. However, the Anti-Entropy designs and products later got leaked, leading them to suspect an "infiltrator" among their ranks, one of them being Cocolia, who joined the group around the same time period. Cocolia herself is acting rather shadily in both this chapter and on Chapter 10.

* UncertainDoom: Chapter 9-EX2 shows one of Einstein's research logs (as seen through Bronya). It depicted the last time Einstein was with Walter, i.e some time after the 2nd Honkai War. The two were conducting an experiment with the "Eye of the Deep" (implied to be some kind of "gate/door") before an anomaly occurred; Walter tried to stop it with Star of Eden's gravity powers, but they ended up getting sucked into [[EldritchLocation a strange place]] called "Sea of Quanta". There, they met a giant, black snake-like being called "World Serpent", which was the cause of the aforementioned anomaly. Walter tried fighting this creature, while telling Einstein to escape with the dimensional anchoring that they've set up. In the present, Einstein claims that Walter was still in "the Deep", but his fate remains unknown. Ch. 11 makes it somewhat clearer: [[spoiler:He ended up using the last of his powers to create a "barrier" (in form of the strange dimension that Bronya entered) that separates the Sea of Quanta from the real world in order to prevent the World Serpent from going out and causing calamity. He's ultimately "dispersed" into the Sea of Quanta, leaving only his Herrscher Core as the CosmicKeystone for the barrier, and the "image" of his younger self around as the guardian of the barrier, who would then guide Bronya around]].

* KickingAssInAllHerRefinery: As Twilight Knight, she wears an elegant black and blue dress with a long gown. Combined with the multiple floating blades she uses, Theresa's fluid movements in this battlesuit are reminiscent of a dance.

* PowerLimiter: In Ch. 10, Einstein reveals to her that she has only been using around 15% of her potential power this whole time. The Honkai Beast "Vishnu" that was used for her creation gives her high potential power, but its use is intentionally limited by Otto for the fear that Theresa might explode violently if she pushed herself too much. Her Violet Executer suit has a module that can let her use more of said power, but said module is restricted by a protocol program; Eisntein offers to lift it for her. Later on, she tries to use said ability; it allows her to withstand and decimate a lot of Honkai Beasts. Lifting part of that limiter is the basis for her Twilight Knight suit.

* BattleInTheCenterOfTheMind: 2 stages of Ch. 11-EX take place in her mind. The first one is Kiana confronting "HER" ([[spoiler:Sirin]]), who tried to [[MindRape break her mind]] in order to [[GrandTheftMe take over her body]] [[spoiler:again]]; she made her fight an illusion of Mei and Theresa, then Fu Hua (who, as "SHE" noted, [[spoiler:kidnapped her and took her to Otto]]), and then [[spoiler:[[MultiMookMelee multitudes of]] [[CloningBlues the previous K-400 series clones]] (which took form of White Comet Kiana)]]. Later, she thought that it was a nightmare that she had since 3 months ago[[labelnote:Spoilers!]]It was back when she first awakened after Himeko suppressed her Herrscher self, at the cost of Himeko's life[[/labelnote]], but [[spoiler:Phoenix Fu Hua (as a spirit)]] says that they aren't just nightmares - "SHE" always tries to take over her whenever Kiana has those nightmares. The second one is Kiana confronting "HER" again, but this time [[spoiler:Fu Hua]] helps her; the former also summons illusions of [[spoiler:Himeko]] to battle "HER". In the end, "SHE" is defeated and "restrained" by [[spoiler:Fu Hua]], but the latter notes at the end of the chapter that "SHE" may come back again someday.

* MyGodWhatHaveIDone: [[spoiler:She is clearly not happy with her role in the Herrscher of the Void's awakening.]]

* BrokenPedestal: [[spoiler:While she wasn't all that chummy with Fu Hua from the get-go, she did at least respect her as a reliable senior. However, she was clearly hurt when she kidnapped her and handed her over to Otto. When she encounters Fu Hua's spirit in Chapter 11-EX, she gives her an angry WhatTheHellHero speech and says she wants nothing to do with her anymore. Downplayed later when she sees that Fu Hua truly does regret what happened and she forgives her.]]

* PillarOfFire: More like "Pillar of Darkness", but Void Drifter's Ultimate Skill has her creating a pillar-like burst of spatial collapse around her, launching enemies upwards.

* TomatoInTheMirror: Chapter 11-EX [[InternalReveal has her finally learn the truth about herself]]: [[spoiler:that she's a clone made from Kaslana's and Schariac's genes, as well as that of Sirin, as part of Otto's project; among other clones, she has the core of the Herrscher of the Void put into her, giving her sapience. Sirin in her mind says that the two were basically victims of humans, and that her fate was sealed since before her conception. She also says that her longtime friends would see her differently and try to "save" her by destroying her. The twist is that Kiana actually ''knew'' something was inside her back when she unwittingly awakened the Herrscher's powers when she was 12, but she intentionally suppressed her mind, trying to forget "HER" (Sirin) and what happened - it's just that the truth was far uglier than she thought.]]

** Valkyrie Ranger's Ultimate Evasion skill is to create an UnrealisticBlackHole where she stood on, sucking nearby enemies to one place. If she's ranked S, the black hole has increased effective range and duration. She can create more powerful black holes after her augment upgrade, "Void Drifter".

* WhiteSheep: The 2nd Herrscher called him a "Honkai renegade". This is because he still has his human consciousness and is fighting for humanity, but due to this, he has no control over Honkai Beasts unlike other Herrschers.

* DrivenToSuicide: [[spoiler: At some point after her Herrscher powers are suppressed, she attempted to commit suicide upon realizing what she had done as the Herrscher of the Void. Thankfully, Fu Hua's spirit stopped her from doing so.]]

* HesBack: Kiana spends two entire chapters in complete disarray following the conclusion of Chapter IX, [[spoiler:where Himeko sacrifices herself to suppress the Herrscher of the Void and bring Kiana back to her senses.]] Unable to cope with the guilt of indirectly killing a friend, she goes missing for several months, and it's only in Chapter XI-EX that we get back to her side of the story, still visibly reeling from the emotional trauma. [[spoiler:It takes a Honkai attack on Arc City and a little pep talk from Himeko's ghost for Kiana to take up arms again and use part of her Herrscher powers to fight the beasts.]] This is manifested into gameplay as the Void Drifter suit.

* OutOfFocus: From chapter 9-EX to 11, the story doesn't put focus on her as she's somehow missing. She only has a cameo in a photo, which the other good guys are using to try to look for her. She comes back to focus in ch. 11-EX, which shows her current whereabouts.

* BadassTeacher: Whenever she isn't on duty as a Valkyrie, she works as a teacher in St. Freya Academy.

* BrokenPedestal: She was very loyal to [[spoiler:Otto]] and even considered him as a friend. But during Chapter 9, he informed her that [[spoiler:he had no intention of saving Kiana from the 2nd Herrscher and that the possibility of at least one her friends dying was all within his plans]]. It was at that moment that Fu Hua realised how truly insane and uncaring he was, to the point that she goes LaughingMad.

* JourneyToTheCenterOfTheMind: It's implied that this happens in Bronya's side story "Dilemma Dreamland" where she appears inside Bronya's mind, trying to help Bronya fix her mind. Her battlesuits are Imayoh Ritual (A-rank MECH-type, awakened White Comet), Sixth Serenade (S PSY, awakened Divine Prayer) and Sundenjager (A-rank MECH-type, awakened Valkyrie Ranger).

* BackFromTheDead: A special story in the DatingSim mode (taking place in 2006) shows her alive and running around as Himeko's acquaintance. She's apparently hunting a vampire that existed in a rumor that is threatening people's lives. [[spoiler:That vampire is Luna Kindred, who was made as a tool by Otto to resurrect her "sister" by using her special bite. Kallen knows that she (Kallen herself) is supposed to be dead and her living state is a wrong one, and thus seeks Luna Kindred in order to not just stop her from threatening the populace with her bloodlust but also to [[DeathSeeker allow herself to die again]] (as her life is tied to Luna Kindred's, courtesy of the bite). In a further twist, her bio mentions that she doesn't ''feel like'' she's Kallen, which implies that she's her own identity/consciousness and not the same Kallen's soul.]] This persona of Kallen is the basis of her Sundenjaeger battlesuit.

* DubNameChange: Sundenjaeger is German for "Sin Hunter", the original name of the battlesuit.

* GratuitousSpanish: As Sundenjaeger, she shouts "Hasta la vista!!" when deploying her ultimate.

* HealThyself: Sundenjaeger can heal herself slightly by performing Ultimate Evasion. If her health is under 30%, using Ultimate Evasion or Ultimate Skill will rapidly heal her until her health reaches above said threshold.

* LongRangeFighter: Sundenjaeger favors fighting by shooting her pistols, contrasting the melee PistolWhip fighting style of Kallen's other battlesuits.

* PillarOfLight: If Sundenjaeger is ranked SS, her Ultimate Skill will cause lasers to fall from above to hit her target for 15 seconds.

* SuperMode: Sundenjaeger's ultimate has her [[WalkingArmory deploying her arsenal of firearms]], turning her basic attacks to [[MoreDakka a barrage of bullets and missiles]].

* OffWithHisHead: The one that appears at the end of Chapter 11 (featured in the plotline animation "Cyberangel: ZERO Exception") ends up decapitated when [[spoiler:Bronya, empowered by the Core of Reason, makes short work of Tlaloc by ramming its head with Project Bunny's new motorcycle mode at full speed, cleanly blasting everything above the shoulder. Bronya then ensures it doesn't come back by [[ThereIsNoKillLikeOverkill beam-spamming the hell out of its corpse]].]]
