** She's [[MontyPython a lumberjack and she's okay]], she sleeps all night and works all day. She cuts down trees, she skips and jumps, she likes to pick wild flowers. She puts on [[UnlimitedWardrobe women's clothing]], but doesn't hang around in bars (she's four solar sweeps too young for that!).

* MagnificentBastard: We sort of suspected this for a while now, what with her being easily the most straight-up competent troll as far as actual trolling is concerned, but this was gloriously confirmed when she [[spoiler:successfully used a nigh-omnipotent, nigh-omniscient being, that prides himself on being a master of manipulation, for revenge, through nothing but effective button pushing]]. That this was probably a terrible idea does not make the fact that she pulled it off less impressive.

* ParentalAbandonment: She lives alone in her treehouse, and actually seems to be a bit bothered by Gamzee forgetting. [[spoiler:Subverted when her lusus comes immediately to her aid after being mind controlled into blinding her, teaching her how to smell and taste colors.]]
* ScrewDestiny: [[spoiler: Pretended to be doing so for laughs.]]
** Or did she? The jury's out on whether she was trying to help or harm, but it seems very unlikely that she wasn't legitimately trying to see if she could change things, one way or another.

* AlasPoorVillain: As screwed-up and vicious as she is, and even after all that she's done, it's hard not to pity her [[spoiler: when she slowly and '''painfully''' bleeds out on her Quest Bed.]]

* EyepatchOfPower: To show how mysterious and diabolically crafty she is. Also has psychic powers.
** Interestingly enough, she no longer has the eye patch [[spoiler: after she allowed herself to be killed on her Quest Bed (or the Troll equivalent) and her Dreamself took her place.]]

* FeedMe: It's implied her octupling of letters isn't just an orthographic tic but because she's a liiiiiiiittle bit overdramaaaaaaaatic. Aaaaaaaahahahahahahahaha!

** Also shown in the 12/20 updates, as she [[spoiler:possibly mind-jacks Tavros to speak with him by [[CouldntFindAPen writing messages with her blood]], telling him to take her to her Quest Bed]]... [[CrossesTheLineTwice while still making lame jokes at him the whole time]].

** She's the Scorpio troll, and thus invokes the story of the [[TheFarmerAndTheViper Scorpion and the Frog]]. (with [[FridgeBrilliance Aradia as the frog]]). It seems like she can't ''help'' being evil even if it's obviously against her own best interests. Which makes her more pitiable, but still a terrible idea to have around.

* KickTheDog: Subverted: her first interaction with John involves using her psychic powers to cruelly and heart-wrenchingly yank him away from a heartfelt and long-overdue reunion with Dad. Accidentally, yes, but it looks like a textbook case of Vriska RUINING EVERYTHING, until she opens her STINKING LYING MOUTH and...helpfully points out that Jade's been about to get flattened by a big honking meteor since the end of Act 4, and John kind of needs to save her right away. And then she proceeds to be helpful, friendly, and informative for a while without any cruelty or backstabbing or villainy at ''all,'' and gets a large handful of humanizing moments in the process.
** ...and then, when she talks to Tavros after his conversation with Jade, she plays it straight and ruins all the dog-petting prior to it. [[spoiler: Guess who causes Jade's "narcolepsy"?]]

* {{Leitmotif}}: Most if not all of the trolls have some form of theme, but variations of the track Crystalanthemums seem to be used in conjunction with Vriska a lot, especially if ''Heir Transparent'' [[http://homestuck.bandcamp.com/track/crystalanthology is to be believed here]].

* ManipulativeBastard: Or at least she likes to think so. Without her VISION EIGHTFOLD or mind-control powers, she can't really do much more than annoy people.
** Although the way she blinded Terezi was actually pretty clever.

* MoralEventHorizon: Has many to her name, beginning with [[spoiler:crippling Tavros]] and ending, thus far, with [[spoiler:causing the death of John's physical self.]]

** Seemingly mutual with John.

* PowerGivesYouWings: Sprouts a nice pair of butterfly wings when she [[spoiler:earns her God Tiers.]]

* ShipTease: With virtually everyone she talks to. Especially John, whose current outfit is exactly like Vriska's.

* SlapSlapKiss: She wants to do this with Tavros oh so much. He won't have any of it.

* TokenEvilTeammate: While many of the trolls wouldn't be good people by human standards, Vriska is almost certainly the meanest of them all. See CompleteMonster, above.
* TrainingFromHell: She covers Tavros's home with stairs for this purpose. Also she claims that she's always been trying to get him to stop being such a wimp. But her past efforts definitely [[ItGotWorse didn't work]], provided it's just not an excuse to pick on him.

* TroublingUnchildhoodBehavior: She's a thirteen year old (well, six sweep old, but they're equivalent maturity-wise) serial killer, and most likely has been at it for years. But, someone's gotta [[HorrorHunger feed her lusus]]. [[{{Understatement}} Probably the root of a lot of her issues.]]

And at least by giving him a choice and sending him to sleep she minimised suffering. Still pretty messed up, mind]].

* BerserkButton: Some of the irons Vriska has in the fire seem to revolve around convoluted ways for her to "atone" for past misdeeds, and she ''freaks the fuck out'' when she feels that she hasn't been properly punished. Granted, some of her ire the second time around was probably because [[spoiler: she was slowly and painfully bleeding out.]].
