* GenreSavvy: Having lived much longer than any living human and with the memories of countless identities for reference, she is a very good student of human behavior. [[spoiler:In "Morbidity", she accurately predicts how the town will react to the presence of a plague Trouble and a snooping CDC doctor, and uses this to convince Duke that his interests are better served working with her than trusting his friends.]]

* GenreSavvy: In "Sarah", Duke figures out he's been sent back in time fairly quickly. Later he mentions that he knows "the rules" of time travel, don't do anything or you'll change the future.

* GenreSavvy: In "Sarah", he immediately realizes that he died in the real timeline just from seeing Audrey's expression.

* HandsomeDevil: His relationship with Nathan often falls under this. Nathan carries a fairly heavy grudge against Duke but Duke doesn't make it any easier by outright taunting Nathan.
