* FreudianExcuseIsNoExcuse: Her abuse is heavily implied to be a result of her cracking under her perfectionism but in no way is used to justify her actions.

* DemotedToExtra: He is somewhat of a major focus in the first fic as a being specifically created to protect Sunny from the truth, but once he accepts and Omori does a HeelFaceTurn, he only appears once in ''Truth'' afterwards.

* AdaptationalVillainy: The story follows an alternative reading of the game's story where Mari is portrayed as a predator who molested Sunny and is thought by Aubrey to have planned to prey on Basil.

The main character, as in canon, and here the victim of Mari's sexual abuse. Having been victimized all his life, he eventually pushed Mari down the stairs by accident trying to fight off her latest rape attempt. He then created Omori and Headspace to keep the horrible truth of their relationship locked up, so he may remember Mari as a loving big sister, but nightmarish visions of her true self still peak through in the form of Something and Black Space.

* HatesBeingTouched: Sunny is averse to physical intimacy — particularly from grown women — because he was sexually assaulted by his sister. This causes Aubrey, who's his girlfriend in ''False Heaven'', no short amount of grief since all she wants is to be able to hold him lovingly.

* OOCIsSeriousBusiness: In ''False Heaven'', the normally sweet and gentle flower boy [[PrecisionFStrike lets out a "bullshit"]] and angrily confronts Hero for not believing Sunny's confession that Mari sexually abused him, to the surprise of the others.

One of Sunny's dear friends. Upon realizing the truth, she fully believes him after some initial reluctance. She's also the protagonist of ''False Heaven'', in which she is Sunny's girlfriend who is distraught at being unable to hold him as he cannot stand being touched due to his trauma. This causes her to lash out even more than she did when Mari first died.

* MisplacedRetribution: In ''False Heaven'', she's been furious at Mari ever since she learned how Mari's been raping Sunny behind everyone's backs, but since Mari is now dead, Aubrey can't personally deliver justice. So instead she's resorted to causing chaos around Faraway Town by destroying anything that reminds her of Mari and even stalking some poor girl with a physical resemblance to her.
* PsychoPink: Still has pink hair and is open about having murderous intent toward Mari. Taken further in ''False Heaven'', where she becomes a public menace in acting out against her memory of Mari (including stalking a girl that looks like her). It's implied that Sunny wants to keep her hair that way so that her natural black wouldn't remind him of Mari.

* StalkerWithoutACrush: In ''False Heaven'', she stalks a girl who looks like Mari, the girl who preyed on Aubrey's boyfriend Sunny, because she's still dealing with her unresolved anger at the deceased Mari for what she did.

* ViolentlyProtectiveGirlfriend: In ''False Heaven'', while she can't actually protect Sunny from Mari's sexual aggression since the latter is dead, Aubrey substitutes by doing stuff like drawing a picture of her face and smashing it, destroying her grave, carving the words EVIL WHORE into a stump, destroying a bunch of White Egret Orchids (which are heavily associated with her), and even ''stalking some girl who looks like Mari''. This gets her friends to decide on StagingAnIntervention to help her calm her anger.

She is shown throughout the series to only care about two things- satisfying her hedonistic desires, and preserving her "perfect big sis" reputation.
