* NoCelebritiesWereHarmed Joe's clearly modeled after Steve Jobs, though he's much more "yuppie" in his appearance than Steve Jobs' "hippie" persona was.

Added DiffLines:

* TechBro: Joe is the 1980s version with his hip, "yuppie" personal but lack of knowledge about technical details early on in the series. He later takes a programming course at San Francisco City College when he moves out West.

Added DiffLines:

* SuccessThroughSexAccusation: Gordon becomes frustrated when Cameron's section of the Giant project advances faster than his (largely because Cameron is a genius programmer, whereas Gordon is an alcoholic engineer) and thus spreads a rumor that she's getting more resources because she slept with their boss, Joe. Cameron turns the table on him by passionately kissing him in front of his subordinates and publicly implying that they had sex the previous night. As Gordon is married with kids, he decides to squash any further rumors about Cameron's sexual history so that nobody spreads rumors about her sleeping with him to his wife

* TheRichWantToBeRicher: {{Averted}}. Nathan is mostly retired, leaving the running of Cardiff Electric to Bosworth, and is quite satisfied with the wealth he already has. Even though the PC project had the potential to earn more money, Nathan would rather let the company proceed as it has, making decent profits and doing right by its current employees, than disrupt everything for the sake of Joe's vision.

Still think that some more information about Pilgrim would be nice to have, maybe this trope would work better but if still doesn't fit, remove if necessary

Added DiffLines:

** Her new game, Pilgrim, is also another example of this: while it's graphically impressive for a game released in 1993, it's incomprehensible and unfun to a vast majority of people due to wrong choices bringing you back to the beginning of the game with no obvious right ones and Cameron even considers something as basic as telling the player the controls to the game to be something that "ruins the magic". Donna finally manages to beat it, but not before being subject to multiple cases of GuideDangIt, TrialAndErrorGameplay and TryEverything and even she probably wouldn't been able to do it if she didn't know Cameron personally and manage to coax some hints from her.
