History Characters / Ghostrider

* FaceHeelTurn: Spent quite a bit acting as Zadkiel's [[TheDragon Lieutenant and Chief Enforcer]] during the 'Heaven's on Fire' story arc. During which Danny hunted down the other Ghost Riders ether killing or [[DePower Depowering]] them till only He & Johnny were left.
* FlechetteStorm: The chain was initially unique to him and he still possess a greater control over it than the other riders, even to the point of breaking it into its individual links and launching them as a cutting barrage.He could also make it into a make shift [[BladeOnAStick [=spear=]]] as well as a dagger and sword.

* NinetiesAntiHero: Meant to be the "edgier" counterpart to Danny Ketch/Noble Kale, a walking skeleton wearing a spiky jacket on fire who caused the worst imaginable pain in people just be looking at them...yeah it was only a little plausible because 90s Ghost Rider ''was'' a little nicer than the Blaze version and thus apparently not hardcore enough for the 90s.

* Skelebot9000: His robotic body looks like a T-800 from Franchise/TheTerminator

* BaldOfAwesome: No hair whatsoever

* HolyBacklight: He is an angel, if a someone demonic looking one
* MonochromaticEyes: Which is more eye detail than Ghost Rider is usually give, to be fair

* PowerGlows: He is very shiny

* RedBaron: The Angel Of Redemption

* ShovelStrike: His main fighting style

* FashionableAsymmetry: One side of her head has a short haircut with black hair, the other is shaven and white

* FieryRedhead: Though a naive and sheltered one

** BlowYouAway: Which can help him move around too

** ShockAndAwe: ''Green'' electricity sometimes to match the rest of him

* RedEyesTakeWarning: Yeah, he is bad news

* NighInvulnerability: He has been crushed, squished, eaten, cut, stabbed, sliced, machine-gunned...you name it. He always recovers. Even if you do somehow kill him, all you will do is send him back to Hell so he will come back anyway. If he dies ''in'' Hell, he just recovers even faster.

* EatsBabies: This is what causes Vengeance to turn on him when he and some other lilin tried to buy him off.

* HalfHumanHybrid: Half lilin.

* EmotionlessBoy: Perhaps a side effect of his soul lacking
* EvilSorcerer: He has to have magic or something similar to be able to fight Zarathos and, well, he is evil

* {{Atlantis}}:She hung around there long ago but was banished long before its sinking.
** SummonBiggerFish: This was accomplished by calling on Tiamat(or the Leviathan, depending on whose penciling the story) and having her(or it) eat Lilith.
* BigBad: She is what drove the midnight sons together.

* MonsterProgenitor: What she currently is, even though her kids, the lilin, aren't identical they usually get killed off before they get too abnormal or large in number.

** OurVampiresAreDifferent: She was also accused of being involved in the creation of the vampires belonging to Varne's line(more commonly known as Dracula's line).

* GreenEyedMonster:The real reason he rebelled against heaven is because he was sick of all the love God was giving to the puny, sinful humans.
* HornedHumanoid:Sometimes, he does not need to have them but likes to look it can be assumed

* LightIsNotGood:Contractually obligated.

* NotSoDifferent:Tries this on Ghost Rider after they end up in the spot where Blaze made his deal with Mephisto.

** MesACrowd: They even joke and scheme amongst themselves

* ScaryBlackMan: Though he has to prove it first, as the goofy haircut is kind of disarming

* WingedHumanoid: White birds wings

* CoolMask: More literal than most as, Deathwatch has little reason to hide his identity

* FallenAngel: He was once a champion for good, though it is unclear if he was the one who chased the N'Garai away when [[ElderGods Chthon]] launched them at heaven or if it was Marduk Curios(worked together?). Since Marduk is the villain of a different comic, [[DependingOnTheWriter Lucifer will get all the credit if you're reading a Ghost Rider story.]]

* FallenAngel: He was once a champion for good, though it is unclear if he was the one who chased the N'Garai away when [[ElderGods Cthun]] launched them at heaven or if it was Marduk Curios(worked together?). Since Marduk is the villain of a different comic, [[DependingOnTheWriter Lucifer will get all the credit if you're reading a Ghost Rider story.]]
** [[ContinuitySnarl And some comics]] say he ''is'' Marduk Curios, even though that character has (or at least claims) a completely different origin story and can exit his realm without help.

* BackFromTheDead: [[FirstEpisodeSpoiler He gets shot to death and set on fire in his first issue]], but immediately comes back as the new Ghost Rider.

* AffirmativeActionLegacy: A Mexican and a woman.

* AndYourLittleDogToo:Tries to kill Danny Ketch and his already hospitalized sister because of their connection to the Ghost Rider.

* MorphWeapon: Johnny can transform his chains (and sometimes even his bike!) into whatever alternate form he wishes by melting and remolding the metal into any form he wishes with the power of hellfire.

* MultiMeleeMaster: Aside from his signature chains, he has also brandished the occasional [[FlamingSword flaming sword]], a [[SinisterScythe scythe]], and a [[DropTheHammer war hammer]] by channeling his hellfire's morphing abilities. His Hell Hammer in particular has been shown to rival Mjolnir itself.

** He was introduced in Daredevil, but Comicbook/{{Spiderman}} showed up to help Murdock out. He was only really a Daredevil villain for one StoryArc; he has crossed paths with pretty much every Marvel hero since then. In his second appearance he's already moved on from the Man Without Fear and chose instead to target {{Wolverine}}, ThePunisher and Danny Ketch Ghost Rider. He's only really a Ghost Rider villain by virtue of crossing paths with them a little bit more than everyone else.

* DeathGlare: Almost literally. The Penance Stare burns your very soul with varying intensity depending on your crimes. The ''King of Hell'' storyline also introduces the even more powerful Damnation Stare as part of Johnny's arsenal, used exclusively on demons. Unlike the Penance Stare, however, this version has the added side effect of [[PowerCorrupts corrupting his mind the more he uses it]], pushing him toward anger and [[HeWhoFightsMonsters becoming more evil]] as a result.

The ''King of Hell'' storyline also introduces the even more powerful Damnation Stare as part of Johnny's arsenal, used exclusively on demons. Unlike the Penance Stare, however, this version has the added side effect of [[PowerCorrupts corrupting his mind the more he uses it]], pushing him toward anger and [[HeWhoFightsMonsters becoming more evil]].

* EvilAlbino: Most lilin are albino and well, he takes after his ancestor in personality

* EvilAlbino: This may not have always been the case, her disposition and her skin color, being a cosmic being whose affronts to God caused her to degenerate into a demon.

* BeenThereShapedHistory: His first series suggests he's part of a StableTimeLoop set up by Death to ensure Thanos becomes who he is. Then in his second series, ''"Cosmic Ghost Rider Destroys the Marvel Universe"'', it's shown that he's done ''a lot'' more time traveling and has become involved in multiple critical moments in superhero history. This has the unfortunate effect of making him incapable of doing what he really wants and averting the death of his family because then he'd be unraveling his now highly intertwined history in the Marvel Universe.

* BreakoutCharacter: Of the 2016 Thanos series. He ended up getting two solo miniseries out of it and went on to temporarily join the Guardians of the Galaxy.

* WorfEffect: He jobs a lot of fights - including having a draw against a pre-Punisher Frank Castle (and actually took a pummelling from his past self), getting another draw but against the Punisher (this Frank Castle was ready for his future self - he had hellfire rounds in a submachine gun and a knife made of an adamantium-vibranium alloy) and if the events from his time travel adventures were even a little bit true - then he actually lost and was captured by moloids.

* DeflectorShields: To the point she can cover the moon and isolate entire nations from the rest of the Earth!
