* EarAche: In ''[[ComicBook/SecretSix Villains United]]'', Scandal Savage [[ManBitesMan bites off her ear]] and [[ImAHumanitarian swallows it.]]

* AnAxeToGrind: In its human male form, the Predator carried an axe as his primary weapon.

* OneGenderRace: Played straight with the Zamarons specifically, but this is also played with. Since a person of either gender can obviously feel and express great levels of love, it is rather rare for a male Star Sapphire to be seem among the Sapphires' ranks (not counting the Predator, the physical embodiment of love).

** A second instance can be seen in issue #36 of the Green Lantern Corps comic series that ran from 2011 to 2015, where non other than JOHN STEWART becomes a Star Sapphire for a time to!

* PassingTheTorch: To Carol Ferris, essentially making her the leader of the Star Sapphires.

* PsychoPink: The Star Sapphires wear pink/purple outfits. Originally, Carol Ferris's Star Sapphire persona was evil and was even responsible for [[HeroKiller the murder of Katma Tui]], John Stewart's wife. The Star Sapphire emotional entity is even called the Predator and has been known to drive Star Sapphires [[LoveMakesYouCrazy mad with love]]

* YouGottaHaveBlueHair: Her hair is somewhere between indigo and blue.

* ArtEvolution: The Zamarons started out as looking like Caucasian HumanAliens, until eventually having violet skin, no hair on their heads, pupil-less eyes and taller than the Earthlings.

* {{Stripperiffic}}: For the most part originally; though Miri Riam's was pretty modest. [[LampshadedTrope Lampshaded]] by Guy Gardner; when given his choice of rings he turned down the violet one because he didn't want to be stuck in a pink thong. Scaled way back in the ComicBook/{{New 52}} reboot, as Fatality still shows cleavage, but it seems to be less than before and she has proper pants now; while Carol Ferris now has a pink-and-black bodysuit that doesn't show any skin below the neck.

Daughter of the CEO of Ferris Aircraft (and later the CEO herself), Carol found herself attracted to Hal Jordan but she held to her rule of not dating employees. Noticing her UnresolvedSexualTension, the Zamarons sent her the Star Sapphire gem, creating a SuperpoweredEvilSide that Hal would occasionally have to fight. She was eventually freed when she got caught in a LoveTriangle and the Zamarons made Hal choose a girl - "winner" became the new Star Sapphire (Hal decided to TakeAThirdOption and chose a Zamaron, forcing them to retreat to deal with it).

* ActionGirl: When she has the ring on.
** DarkActionGirl: When she was still corrupted by the light.
* ActionGirlfriend: After she masters the light of love.
* BelligerentSexualTension: With Hal.

* DeadpanSnarker: Has her moments; credit must be given to anyone willing to snark at Sinestro to his face.
