His lost to Shin is what sets in motion his quest to become a savior and he ends up being defeated by Souther and Kaioh during his first confrontations with each. His first fight with Raoh only ended in a stalemate as well due to Rei's and Toki's interventions.

* FanNickname: While technically "Sunagumo" was a derisive nickname Falco gave him, many fans refer to the Nameless Shura as such to differentiate him from the other nameless Shura warriors in the series.

*DracoInLeatherPants - A lot of fans play up the "noble" aspect of this NobleDemon, conveniently ignoring all of the sympathetic and likable characters that he kills, some for no rational reason (like [[spoiler:Fudoh]]).
** Actually, what happened regarding Fudou was perfectly rational... if one accepted as true the ''really'' bad conclusions Raou took from that second fight with Kenshirou.

*MisaimedFandom - Some people seem to think he's unambiguously heroic and admirable.
