As such, this forces him to rely on the more mundane weapons in the world, such as the Silver Sword... all of which he can kick considerable amounts of arse with.

* BerserkButton: What's that, King Chagall? You just [[spoiler:send Eldigan to his death/had him executed?]] Whoops. Sigurd kind of wants you to die a painful death now. This man will not stand for anyone messing with his friends or loved ones.
* BladeOnAStick: Notable for being the first Lord in the series to be able to use them. However, [[HeroesPreferSwords it's more likely that he'll stick with swords instead]].
* CelibateHero: Subverted. Throughout the Prologue (and for 90% of the first chapter) Sigurd has no romantic interest in anyone. While he goes into war to rescue Adean, [[PlatonicLifePartners he isn't driven by any kind of affection for her]]. Then, all of a sudden, [[LoveAtFirstSight he meets Dierdre]].
* {{Deconstruction}}: Of [[VideoGame/FireEmblemAkaneia Marth]]. While Sigurd has all of the kindness and nobility that Marth does, however, unlike Marth, Sigurd does not live in a harsh situation.
